The Grind is the greatest show in the Galaxy: Nine Circles of blood, money and death. Beatrix Aliger has thirty days. Thirty days to find 800,000 credits for her brother's life-saving surgery, or watch the only family she has left die. In the depths of an abandoned starship, she finds a solution: The Dreadnought Protocol. It's not just a piece of tech; it's a military AI that rewrites biology, optimizing the host for maximum violence. It's powerful, experimental, and it eats its user's lifespan for fuel. With no other options, Beatrix installs the cyber parasite and enters the First Circle of The Grind, the galaxy's most brutal underground tournament. The Grind isn't just a fight club. It's a massive deadly spectacle of professional fighters with technological enhancements backed with teams trying to hack their rivals systems: The UFC meets F1 in a dystopian future. To save her brother, she has to outsmart seasoned killers and navigate a game rigged by the criminal Clans. But as the AI whispers tactical solutions in her mind and her humanity begins to strip away, Beatrix realizes the arena isn't the only thing trying to kill her. She has to win before the Protocol consumes her. WHAT TO EXPECT: Hunger's Game meets Ghost in the Shell meets Gladiator ✅ Humans powered by AI and Nanotech (your body has an operative system) ✅ Found family messy team dynamics (No one is perfect. Everyone makes mistakes.) ✅ Physical fights with digital team warfare (Fighting and hacking at the same time) ✅ Body horror that escalates (slow corruption, turning into monsters) ✅ Moral complexity with impossible decisions (Am I the bad guy?) ✅ Character-driven plot (relationships drive decisions drive action) ✅ Tragedy, conflict, drama (No cozy stuff here) ✅ Posting three days a week: Mon - Wed - Fri (Not burning out. I'm here for the long run)

In an age reborn from ashes, a hero stood above all-V, the machine-touched savior whose heart was human and whose strength was divine. With nanotech in his veins and celestial alloys reforging his bones, he rebuilt cities with a touch and protected kingdoms with his unbreakable will. By his side fought the Circle of Heroes: • Alex, the Angel Knight, a celestial warrior with wings of living fire. • Jaz, the Witch of Dusk, whose chaotic spells could tear open worlds. • Fey and Fal, the twin jesters of war. • And Erien, the Elemental of Life, whose quiet love anchored V's humanity. Together, they forged an age of peace-until the day V returned changed. Deadly. Emotionless. Wrong. When the signal of their beloved protector goes dark, the Circle races to find him-only to watch their greatest hero turn against them with impossible speed and cold precision. A battlefield becomes a nightmare. Trust shatters. And love becomes the weapon tragedy uses to strike deepest. What corrupted V? What ancient machine puppets the body that once saved the world? And can the Circle survive the fall of the one they thought invincible? This is the story of a hero's descent, a team's heartbreak, and the beginning of a war born from betrayal. A war where even angels can bleed... and even legends can fall.

Who wouldn't want to live forever at first glance? The human race is rash. We never gave the thought a second look. Our technology was advanced enough to save us all. Right now, nanotechnology is being created to possibly cure cancers as well as many other terrible illnesses, but in this story, we decided to run with it. Programmed to fix what it could and replace what it could not, microscopic robots manifested themselves in a manner unfathomable to their creators. But by the time they realized their mistake, the technology was already released globally and spread faster than any virus that has ever marred the face of the Earth. Nanotechnology that promised to heal our broken bodies and enhance our minds, proved to be easily our worst nightmare. We took our chances against mother nature . So we suffered the consequences. (includes illustrations which I am slowly adding) Highest rank: #113 *Author's note: This is a very long story- the first draft ran 120,000 words and 90 chapters, so be patient if you so choose to climb on board this berserk train into madness. Don't be dissuaded, this being a far more recent draft undergoing major changes, I plan to condense the story and greatly change the original plot. **READ THE STORY IN ORDER WHY DO Y'ALLS KEEP READING THIS OUT OF ORDER IT WON'T MAKE SENSE

"Nanotechnology is going to revolutionize manufacturing, healthcare, energy supply, communications and probably defense. It will transform labor and the workplace, the medical system, the transportation and power infrastructures and the military before our very eyes. With minimal significant social disruption you have every ability to change the expectation of technology usage in the modern era. We, joining together here today can change the recreational drug field." She was young at the time. Surpassing her peers and climbing through the hoops of corporate greed and success. She was innovated, powerful, and respected and knew that the only way to the top was to never look away from what was coming next. At the time, there was always a sense of desire to have more than physical aspects of life and things within the community- but information and facts, distribution of education. The further she ventured into the politics of the socioeconomic world, the quicker the realization began to obsess over the concept that society was in place to teach us how to think. That social activism was no more than modes of analysis of how we and other pieces of society fit together shaped into such a way; or at least this is what she convinced herself in justification of a moral code she grew to question but never allowed others to do the same.
