In this AU, Blitz is a close friend of Randy's, but isn't the adoptive father of Loona. After getting bored and tired of work, Randy decides he wants to give raising a kid a shot. All his life, he been kind of a freelance kinda dude who had dated around and hadn't ever been in a super committed relationship in his life for an extended period of time. He had married a woman before, but they were married for about a year before she divorced him. Despite this, he had always wanted a daughter to make memories with and raise on his own.
