This is based on the book The Isle Of The Lost. When Mal stops Evie from touching the Dragon's Eye and she ends up touching it, the curse doesn't recognize her blood and the curse is placed on her. (This isn't true but I'm going with it -->) Her sixteenth birthday was a few days after she would arrive in Auradon, she will prick her finger on a spindle and fall into a deep sleep for one thousand years only to be awakened by true love's kiss. Ben asks Mal wanted to watch. she said "I don't care. whatever you want to watch". so they were watching something called "After We Collided" because it kinda has their vibes in it. and after it was over while Ben was getting into his pajamas. he heard Mal threw up and went to go check on her and he went to hold up her hair and keep from throw up to get on it. he asks "are you okay, babe?". she answers "idk". he checks her forehead. "babe your running a fever". "ok babe get in bed" he kisses her cheek. "it's gonna be ok my love" Ben says. "but honey I'm scared that I'm gonna die" Mal tells Ben.
