When allegations begin to be made against his boyfriend's superhero alter Superman , Ritz finds himself supporting him when many turn against the Kryptonian determined to prove Superman's innocence. Following the events of "World's Apart," Batman holds himself accountable for Superman's current predicament. He is obligated to make things right. With the aid of Martian Manhunter and Wonder Woman, the trio would set out on a quest to heal Superman from his critical condition. It all goes on array, though, resulting in a Superman with no memories and the release of Zod from the Phantom Zone. For situations like these, the trio would need the aid of another (Green Lantern). The unity of these heroes would end up creating the very thing the world needs, protectors. Would they be enough, is the question.

After the Boravia incident, Superman is under fire. The media's tearing him apart, public opinion is split, and Clark Kent is desperately trying to hold it together while the world debates whether he's a hero or a threat. The Daily Planet is in chaos, everyone's got an opinion, and Clark's just trying to do his job-both of them. Then Perry drops an assignment in his lap that feels like a lifeline and a nightmare all at once: an exclusive interview with Bruce Wayne, who's in Metropolis for... some vague reason that doesn't quite add up. An uncontrolled alpha isn't good for business. As long as the alpha listens sometimes it won't be too bad. Unfortunately, as the fights continue, the alpha wants to listen less. An investor of the alpha has found an omega that may work in collaring the alpha's lack of control. It works and the two bond. They use the omega against the alpha when they need him to fight. What they weren't counting on were the activists freeing the alpha. With them holding the omega hostage will the alpha come back for them or was their bond not strong enough?
