Yashiro Sayuri was 14 when she had to leave Japan and leave behind her best friend, shortly after they graduated junior high. They had planned to attend the same high school together but that was history then. Sayuri lived in Boston, America for two years, began a figure skating career on the wish of her parents, when she finally could return to Japan and attend the high school she had always planned to. Karasuno. And there, in her final year, she reunited with her childhood friend. Sugawara Koushi.

Upon her arrival and hopes to be in the females' volleyball club, a few girls with a big heart for volleyball gathered their courage so they could play the sport they love the most.
