Life for victors is still hard. Nobody wins the game; there are only survivors. Johanna knows that well since her win in the 68th game and her family suffering the consequence of her not bending the knee to the Capitol. She grew cold, distant, and snappy more than before, an angry woman, sending off two tributes to die each year, having stopped caring about anything since there was no one left to hurt to get to her. That was until the 71st group of tributes showed up, a boy and a girl born into the wrong district, to the wrong fate. And finally, there was a chance for District 7 to gain another winner in its small ranks. Finally, there was a chance for Johanna to open up to the world of feelings again. These are some poems that I wrote about the hunger games. Poems about the characters themselves, poems about different things of the hunger games, I even wrote a poem about Jabberjays and my poems aren't exactly terrible I guess. I just post my poems here to keep track of them in a sort of way. So I was planning on writing a lot of these but I feel that these 4 are enough. It felt right to only write 4 about THG - if I ever add any more on here it'll happen, if not...what does it matter?
