Taliana and her adopted sister work for a coorprate company in San Francisco, California. Taliana's previous boyfriend died in a crash, along with their newborn daughter. She broke up with her recent boyfriend because he was controlling. Her sister Gabriella also broke up with her boyfriend, mostly because the relationship wasn't going anywhere. While drunk in their shared appartement, they signed up for a contest to win an inn. Surprisingly they won and two days later they were off to New Zealand.
