Evangeline (Eva) Lawson is a side character. She works at a bakery and a bookstore, she's introverted, and she's past the age of seventeen when she would have a small chance of discovering magical abilities, getting thrown into some kind of fight-involving event, and falling in love with Mr. Broody. The most strenuous activity she did was walk around the aisles of a grocery store and have to smile and make small talk with the people who came by asking if she didn't any help looking for something. Tobias (Toby) Crane is also a side character. He's just a normal eighth grade English teacher. The hardest thing he does is deal with attention seeking students and one of his best friends/coworker, Andy. And no, there is no complicated love triangle involving Andy, Eva, and Toby. And no, Andy doesn't have a crush on him. The only involvement Andy has in his love life is pestering Ty, their other best friend and coworker, about trying to set Toby up with someone. So yeah, neither of them have too much of an exciting life. And yet they meet at a store and talk about ice cream, and the universe has a strange way of crossing their paths again. They're in their late twenties. It's past time for love to bloom. Maybe theirs just waited a little bit longer. Toby and Eva. How'd they meet? All because of ice cream. Me?
