In this Chikako is the daughter of the infamous Shingami before he was experimented on. After being betrayed by his apprentice they both got experimented on. As soon as they found a cure for him, it was too late for Chikako to get rid of her's, since they stayed there permanently, but she soon got used to them and hid them. Shouta Todoroki has been cooking since he was but a child. His earliest memories were of him holding a knife and cooking beside his beloved mother. When Shouta was 11 he met an old man at his family eatery, Todoroki's Garden. The old man said he was the dean of some school called Totsuki, whatever that is, and said that he wanted Shouta to attend his school. Shouta said no. The old man seemed excited by his answer. Shouta was 13 when he finally agreed to attempt the Totsuki entrance exam. Shouta was 15 when he when he went to Totsuki's entrance exam for high schoolers. Shouta was 15 when he met the only other transfer student for his year level and got dragged into a boat load of drama.
