The ShadowClan tom was called Nightclaw. His eye gleamed as he watched the ThunderClan from a safe distance. He had come alone, even though a mission weighed heavily on his shoulders, and the StarClan seemed unusually silent today. In the camp, several young warriors were laughing while the apprentices trained. Moonclaw's friends, Shootingecho and Tigershade were talking, unaware that something was brewing beyond the bramble wall.
