Tommy, a college student attending Greenwich University, studying Criminal Justice, is recommended for an internship at his local police department under Detective Wilbur Soot. Together they solve a murder that has plagued their town for years. Is this too much for Tommy to handle? Or is it his true calling? "At first we thought it was a duo who committed the crime because no one person could do such an atrocious crime alone, but now we don't know what to think" A dark haired man stood alone in the empty library, hints of red scattered around the room. The crime that had been committed not an hour before, laid before him in the middle of the floor like a scene out of a painting. He knew he should call this in, but when he tried to reach for his phone he found his limbs would not respond. He had been on the job for a while now, he had seen morbid paintings by the most psychopathic artists, but he had not seen something so arcane. From the way the victims body was propped up reading like she was alive yet again to the bloody footprints that seemed to dance around the isles of books adorned with crimson red blotches that smiled at him. It was terrifying to look at, it was gruesome, it was grisly, and it was wrong.

Wilbur didn't understand emotions much. He wasn't very good with comfort unless he had to be, and he barely understood what anyone else felt. But one thing he knew was why this kid needed his immidiate help. And help, of course, he gave him. Or: Tommy just wanted to sing in band, but aquires a new family instead. They drink until they end up screaming at him, or eachother, then promptly pass out. His brother used to be his hero, until he moved out five years ago, to become a famous musician "Wilbur Soot". Tommy's world completely gets flipped when his parents die, and he needs to live with a relative. When he moves in with Wilbur he gets to know him, and the wonderful life he has. Will is funny, kind, and he gets to have a seaside view, with so many friends, and thousands of fans. Tommy is pissed. He is pissed that his brother left him and got to have a great life, while Tommy got scars. He is pissed that Wilbur is so happy, and is trying to have a relationship with him. He is pissed that his hero barely called or visited, and is only trying to because Tommy was basically placed on his front door step. But most of all he is pissed because he is just tired. Or Tommy is sad that Wilbur left him and is now forced to live with his older brother. Wilbur is trying but the damage is already done. Tommy just wants to feel loved.

15 years ago in London there was a man and woman. His name was Wilbur Soot, while her name was Sally Salmon. They were both seniors in highschool. Months after dating Sally fell pregnant, and was carrying Wilbur's child. Soon after, Sally had broken up with Wilbur. Sally thought that she could handle a child alone but soon realized she wasn't equipped to after he started becoming a "complicated" child. With nothing else to do, and no other options, she left Tommy at Wilbur's flat, with all his things. Sally told Wilbur over the phone to make sure he was ready. He was not ready, at all.
