Nico spends his days in the city, slashing demons and creatures and such. Lefu Hughes spends her days on the streets, holding the hand of her dead brother. Odd? Just slightly, but Nico Di Angelo takes this as the opportunity to recreate Lefu's life back into the way she would have wanted it. Starting from the beginning. {Heroes of Olympus Fanfic, original character } *Slightly rewritten. Honestly, this book is too old and far too bad for me to repair without rewriting the entire thing. Apologies in advance.

Almost dying can change a person. For most it pushes them to live life to the fullest; for Ryan, it lets him hear voices and see ghosts. After a fatal car crash, Ryan Hubbard wakes up hearing a voice in his head that isn't his own. It wants him to find something--someone. As if that isn't the worst of his problems, he can see ghosts too. Naturally, he tries telling people about his new abilities. And just as naturally, no one believes him. When Ryan gets dared to go into a supposedly haunted house, he almost refuses. But curiosity gets the best of him when something inside him (specifically, the voice) tells him to go. He wasn't exactly hoping to find anything inside-least of all the diary of a dead little girl and the sudden urge to find her killer. With the help of his friend Lya and the voice that refuses to leave him, Ryan is set to unravel the mysteries and unlock the secrets of the little child's past. • • • A paranormal mystery that takes place mostly in the present and sometimes in the 1960s. • • • This work mentions suicide, contains mildly violent, and/or traumatic content. Prithika Singh would have told you that her love life was going great. After all, who could argue that the pretty cheerleader and the handsome quarterback with their sweet year-long relationship were anything less than a dream couple? But Prithika is startled awake when she sees her boyfriend, Carter Hale, kissing Julia Hart, one of the supposedly average girls, in the middle of the hallway on the first day of school. Suddenly, her vision for her junior year is totally derailed, and she's left feeling uncertain about her sense of trust and relationships. And then along comes Jackson Rains, Julia's ex-boyfriend, notorious at Poppy Hills High for his (crappy) motorcycle, tousled dark hair, black leather boots, and two very public fistfights. In an attempt to save their past relationships, Jackson and Prithika hatch a probably terrible plan: make everyone think they're dating. Prithika will try to show Carter she can be a more low-maintenance girlfriend, Jackson will try to show Julia that he can be a more attentive boyfriend, and then Carter and Julia will get jealous and return to the partners they were supposed to be with in the first place, and it'll all go back to normal. But it seems the more Prithika tries to make things fit the picture-perfect path her life was on, the more things fly off the rails: she's trapped in trying to be someone she's not, she's lying to her best friends Laila and Aurora, she can tell Aurora's keeping secrets, she realizes how little she actually knows Carter, and she's getting more invested in Jackson's personal life than expected. Can she get her life back under control? Or will trying to fix things make a bigger mess?
