Manju has never believed in being chosen. She has learned to take up little space, to exist quietly, to be grateful for what doesn't ask too much of her. Her body, her presence-she has made peace with them in her own way. Then there is Raghav. Always respectful. Always distant. Always looking when he thinks she isn't aware. She doesn't know when his glances began to matter. Only that they do. And that the space between them feels filled with something fragile, something terrifying, something that might be love.

She always felt like an outsider in this house. It was like she was a guest who had stayed too long. Her cousin's cold stares, Chachi's sharp words, and the insults reminded her daily that she wasn't welcomed in the family. She was quiet, gentle, and really close to her faith, but being so reserved made her an easy target. Even though she seemed soft, there was a strength inside her that no one could see. Her brown eyes showed a mix of hope and sadness, and her love for Feras was something she kept hidden, even though she wasn't sure he could ever feel the same. Feras was different. He didn't talk much and had a strong sense of right and wrong. He was Tall with sharp dark eyes, he had this calm but serious presence. He didn't show much emotion, kept everything locked inside, yet he somehow looked out for Anam. He was a mystery she couldn't figure out. But fate had its own plans. The lies buried deep in their family were going to come to light, and Anam would find herself at the center of it all. It would force Feras to make a choice: save her or... Mr. Raichand, you are my boss, not my therapist. I don't find it professional." I told the man sitting opposite to me in his black suit and thumb pressing his lip as he continued to look at me. " Shivanya, things have never been professional between you and me ever since you walked in for that interview. Since then, I have thought about you in seven hundred ways, none of which closely resonates with me being your boss or you being my employee." The thing is, he doesn't mince words outside the Courtroom. I am sorry, what?" I asked, shocked. " You heard me right for the first time." He did not repeat him words but continued to look at me, standing a few feet away from and looking intimidating just as ever. The thing was, I hated being looked at for too much. Much of this insecurity came from being curvy and not being comfortable under my own skin. But his gaze was something else. It did not make me uncomfortable in the way people usually do, it was almost as if he was looking at me. Not my looks or my work, but at me. " You fail to understand, sir. When I tell you that I don't want your help in something which is not related to work, I mean it. Apart from that, if I find myself in a difficult position in a case, I know where to find you." I took a step back and turned around to collect my laptop and bag to leave but his voice stopped me again. " I have been waiting for you longer than you know of it Miss Chopra. You will find out soon enough." His words sounded dangerously close to a promise, sending a shiver down my spine as he once again sat down in the chair next to where I was standing. " Have a good day sir." I hurried out of the Conference room once I had everything. Ignorance is bliss, until it is not. She knows of it. He knows of it. He accepts it, she does not. They are not opposites but they are in no way similar either. But the real question is, will she acknowledge it?

Zara Rinaaz is a plus-size doctor who has spent most of her life learning how to make herself smaller. In dressing rooms. In conversations. In social interactions. And around people who looked at women like her and saw a problem before they saw a person. She has PCOD, a period that shows up roughly as often as a solar eclipse, and a very practiced smile she wears like armour. She is not the girl this kind of story happens to. She's a junior ophthalmology resident with sensible shoes, excellent diagnostic skills, and a very firm policy against complications. Alexander Malhotra is a complication. He is thirty one years old, absurdly handsome, and currently, one of the fastest rising actors in the industry. He's also, unfortunately, her patient. His face stares down at Zara from a luxury watch advertisement on the highway she takes every week to buy groceries - all expensive watches, perfectly undone dark hair, and a jawline unfair enough to deserve its own management team. The Art of Taking Up Space is a slow-burn contemporary romance about self-worth, longing, identity, and what it takes to believe you deserve love without first earning permission to exist.

The runaway woman and the regular man collide in the most unexpected way. Housemates by accident. All Perrie wanted was to have peace in her newly-bought flat in London and to celebrate her new modelling contract. She did not expect to be forced to have a housemate, nor to have to explain why she looked awfully familiar to him. Dave was an unnecessary addition to her anxiety list, yet the man did not plan to leave the flat any time soon. He paid as much as she did and wanted to claim his rights, whether their dual contracts were legal or not. They were left with one choice: sharing the place until they found the solution for the mess. One bedroom and toilet each, and no messing up the shared kitchen. What happens when Dave finally figures why she looks familiar? All rights are reserved ©️ 2024 annabellacx ⚠️ mature content inside: swearing, mention of sexual assault, and sexual content later on.

Anne Kensington died while picking up a birthday cake for her twin sons' birthday celebration. She never made it to wherever ghosts go. Three years later, she's still here. Still watching. Still furious. Because her husband is the smartest man she knows, and he is somehow too stupid to see what's right in front of him. Her name is Mildred Reyes. She was Anne's best friend first. Hers before she was anyone else's. Short, quiet, plus-size, and so used to being overlooked that she's stopped expecting otherwise. She's also the reason David Kensington still gets out of bed. The reason the boys still feel like a family. The reason the house didn't fall apart when Anne did. David calls her family. Like she's furniture. Like she hasn't been quietly, patiently, devastatingly in love with him for years. Like she didn't wash her single mug and let herself out the door a hundred nights running, never once asking him to notice. Anne has tried everything. Knocked over pens. Jammed printers. Willed phones to ring at exactly the right second. Nothing works (She swears David could miss a sunrise standing inside it). Now she's got real problems. A new executive assistant who's polished, perceptive, and very interested in her husband. A business partner who just got divorced and just noticed Mildred for the first time. She's a ghost. She's out of patience. And she is absolutely not above meddling. ***A slow-burn romance about grief, found family, and the love that was hiding in plain sight the entire time.

MORE THAN ENOUGH Aarohi Mehta has spent most of her life believing that some girls are simply meant to be loved more easily than others. She is too curvy. Too insecure. Too ordinary. And definitely not the kind of girl someone like Aviraj Raizada would ever choose. Aviraj is everything Aarohi isn't. He is the heir to one of the country's most powerful business families. Rich, arrogant, impossibly handsome-and completely surrounded by people who have never had to worry about money, appearances, or belonging. They come from two different worlds. So when Aviraj starts noticing her, Aarohi assumes there's a catch. There has to be. But Aviraj doesn't see the girl who hides behind oversized clothes. He sees the girl who laughs until she can't breathe. The girl who cares too much. The girl who pretends she's okay when she isn't. The girl who has no idea just how beautiful she is. And the more he falls for her, the harder Aarohi finds it to believe that someone like him could genuinely want someone like her. Because loving Aviraj is easy. Believing that she deserves to be loved by him is not. And when his family, his world, and the difference between their lives finally stand between them, Aarohi will have to decide whether she wants to keep running from the girl in the mirror- or finally become her. Because Aviraj can tell her she's beautiful a thousand times. But he can't teach her to believe it. She has to learn that herself.

When offered a second chance at life, a disdainful woman makes the ultimate decision to swap her hideous corpse for the body of another she used to make fun of. Leaving loved ones on their own, they both had guilt hanging over their heads. That is until a clever man known as the Grim Reaper gives one of the women another chance to return to Earth, given that they have to switch bodies. Reason: They were dealing with the devil in disguise and it would be a lesson learned for one of the ladies, that is if she's willing to make the sacrifice. Here's something that we must address: Wattpad needs more melanin. Ever since a young, middle school, age; drooling over the British boys of one direction and dreaming for the day I meet them, I'd read stories here on Wattpad, hoping to fill this deep desire with the imagination of others. However, I could never actually relate to anything these stories would say. Things like how Liam "grazed his fingertips over her blonde, straight, hair," or, "he looks at her ocean blue eyes filled with wonder." It was always Claire, a skinny girl with light colored eyes that always seemed to resemble something bright and eccentric. Perfect was her middle name and flaws? There were none. Let's face it: we're white washing everything in our books, and, well, we need a little 'pop' of color. So after reading 4 different Character Idea books-all in which included beautiful people of Caucasian backgrounds, I decided to make a Character Idea book of my own: Melanin Edition. I'm not exactly saying that having characters of the white descent is a bad thing, but it's also not bad to add a bit more melanin. So with that said, here's to all the Asians, Hispanics, African Americans, Indians, Native Americans, even those who are a mix of one of these and more; of all shapes and sizes, sexual orientations, and backgrounds; Imperfections, and flaws, with more juice to love-this is all for you. Stay poppin my friends 🍒

"I have shown my body more times than I have ever received flowers." In this raw and unflinching collection of poetry, Mabel explores the jagged landscape of a stolen girlhood. The Girl Who Tried to Be a Woman Too Soon is a journey through the quiet violence of grooming, the exhaustion of jumping from one hollow relationship to the next, and the desperate search for self-worth in the eyes of older men. Through evocative imagery of wilted blooms and digital ghosts, these poems capture the performance of maturity-wearing a woman's face while carrying a child's heart. It is a reckoning with the mirror, a mourning for the softness that was never allowed to take root, and ultimately, a brave reclamation of a voice that was silenced before it could fully speak. This book is for anyone who has ever traded their peace for a moment of being "chosen," and for the girls who are finally learning how to buy their own flowers.
