In which he learns that his place in the world isn't as secure as he thought. In which he learns that the problem runs deeper than his family. This is some things I had to write in school that I think are pretty cool. Might polish them up some time and make them better. I tell what I was meant to write and then copy/paste what I did write.

"Good Enough" is a raw and unapologetic spoken word piece that dives deep into the struggle of identity, self-worth, and survival in a world that still places labels, stereotypes, and barriers on Black lives. Through powerful repetition and unfiltered honesty, the poem captures the weight of depression, the silence of invisibility, and the ever-present question: When will I be seen as enough? This piece weaves together the personal battle of inner darkness with the collective reality of systemic injustice, shining light on the pain of being overlooked, underestimated, and dehumanized. It is both a cry for recognition and a mirror held up to society's ongoing failures. More than just words, "Good Enough" is a testimony-an emotional journey that gives voice to the unheard, honors the resilience of the oppressed, and demands reflection from those who listen.

Walk into the home of my thoughts and you would only see me as I am. Not me as I hope to be, not me as you hope me to be, just me. Let these poems be a reflection of that space

Just something to get my writing spirit in gear! I am a Pinterest-aholic and saw that they have some interesting prompts and ideas there. Mostly from Tumblr but I found them on Pinterest, hence the title. So, here you go; some random short stories/one shots inspired by the prompts I found there. Not sure if all will be DC-related but you should know me by now; chances are 97% that they will be.

"Truth Hurts" is a raw and reflective conversation between two souls ... or maybe, two sides of the same one. It's poetry wrapped in emotion, built on fear, hope, pressure, and survival. This piece explores what it feels like to mentor others while barely holding yourself together, to dream big while being haunted by doubt, and to live in a world that doesn't always make space for peace. Some truths are uncomfortable but they still need to be said.

Mercer High School is a breeding ground for oversexed teens. The male student body harbors a Hit Book detailing their sexual escapades with the girls. When the girls find out, instead of getting mad, they get even by making a Hit Book of their own. What could possibly go wrong?

Roseline "Rose" Lapierre is a Haitian-American teenager, junior in high school, and a very creative and driven girl. Rose is also an aspiring artist. She's very talented, but she is very critical of herself. Rose wants to move to NYC for college and go to art school. She deals with anxiety, and she over analyzes things a lot. Rose goes to therapy, takes meds, etc. She's not one of the popular kids; she has a few friends. Rose ends up meeting a new girl at school who moved from Texas, Andrea. They click immediately. While building up a friendship, they help each other throughout the rest of the school year and change each other's lives forever. Rose reflects on her life thus far through a project assigned to her by her art teacher. At first, she's stressed out about it, but learns great truths about herself in the process.
