I still have lots more to write of this but here's what I've got so far Story idea: A man becomes infatuated with a child he meets, but as his feelings become twisted, he retreats into a fantasy world where she is a siren and he is a pirate. He writes letters to her, blurring the lines between reality and delusion.

Ever wonder how things will turn out after the Covid? In this parallel universe they already got over it. The Age of Excess and Fast Things (food and travel among them) is long over. The majestic lighter-than-air airships rule the skies and people live in communities defined by their geography - small city states not unlike the 'polis' of the ancient Greece. Sounds idyllic, but of course, things are about to get hairy. A religious sect harnesses the power of computers to simulate personalities of the recently deceased. "God promises the eternal life. We deliver." They do it for profit, so that they can extort money from the grieving relatives. A small town cop (but then again all towns are small now) has to deal with the local fallout of this global phenomenon while receiving phone calls from his long dead grandfather himself...

What if Stefan stayed on only one path and lived on? What if Colin lived all those alternate realities that Stefan's choices brought? What if this time they get the chance to choose?
