Instead, he finds a device that should not exist and is thrown into Teyvat. The ley lines reject him on arrival. Teyvat's laws don't recognize his luck, the elements do not answer him and suddenly survival becomes more than just luck. Taken in by Arlechinno and The House of the Hearth, Aventurine hides behind smiles and bets until he meets Lyney, the magician who lives by misdirection and applause. This story is a canon divergence where Aventurine is a canon part of Teyvat before the Fontaine arc.
