Hello again everyone! This is one of the stories i wrote when i was in writer's craft so its old and i did not edit this recently. We had to choose from a list of natural disasters that the world dealt with and write a story about it. I chose The Great Ice Storm of 1998 in Kanata, Ottawa. Of course, i had to add a little touch of romance to it. Enjoy!

Ifaat Jalal has finally decided to visit his motherland where it all began, Pakistan. After moving to England in September 1998 with his single father and siblings Ifaat had a tough time adapting to his new surroundings. He felt like a stranger in the company of his own people. Tormented by his past, every night he would wake up sweating. There were these constant nightmares and these voices inside his head always telling him to be quiet. He kept quiet. The nightmares never stopped. This isolated him. Which resulted in a failed suicide attempt. He would spend his nights alone, staring out of his window and wondering if anyone would miss him if he was no more. Would they remember his face or his name?
