Honest Critiques and Feedback

    Hi all,

I am looking to critique interesting, non-cliche stories. I am open for most genres, though prefer to steer away from vampire/sexual stories. Other than that I am quite interested. I am looking for enthralling storylines, and am quite happy to fan and vote for stories that I deem worthy.

All my critiques come with negative and positive points, as well as suggestions for improvements. If you are looking for just nice comments, maybe go elsewhere, I want to give constructive feedback.

Also I have my own novel (or the first two chapters) that I would like feedback from. Would really appreciate if you could also do that for me. Look forward to reading ;)

Hey i was wondering if you could help me out on my story. It's been put on hold actually since i realized the most of my chapters are crap. Maybe you could read them and give out suggestions? like, critique the whole thing and help me make it better? I would want to make my story a non-cliche one. I have the idea for the whole plot but i could also use the help in brainstorming. You could tell me all the suggestions, comments, feedbacks or whatever ideas you have by sending me a message. Since i'm still gonna edit the story, i wouldn't want it to be seen on the comments. So what do you think? here's the link and short summary.

18 year old Anne was just released from the custody of her foster parents. She spent 9 horrible years with them, and at last, those days are over. She's finally free to start a new life. That's what she thought. On the day of her release, She got hit by a car. Anne soon found herself in a hospital with a broken leg, two broken ribs, and a boy sleeping quietly beside her bed. Who is this boy and what does he have to do with the accident? Could he be the change in Anne's life that she so desperately needs? @Tarnished

This is the first story that I've wrote and I'm looking for some feedback. I don't know if you'll like it but could you please check it out. Thanks :) My description is kinda sucky too I would appreciate some help in making it better :)

The world is changing. Human kind has become an endangered species. Crimson hates what she's become and she would do anything to be normal again, to have her family again. When a delicate balance is turned upside down, she has to face the things she fears most. While trying to save the ones she cares about, she finds love in the most unexpected place. Will love cloud her judgement, or will she be able to save the one who saved her?

    Thanks @Tarnished

Hello there, I see you're already busy with critiquing but if you have the time or the will I would love some actual literary criticism. Here's the first chapter from my (ongoing) novel, Burning Wood.

I've actually written 36,938 words but it's very much still in the draft stage.

    Thank you :) Gem

This sounds like a good offer.

My book does have reference to vampires, but it's not a main plot. I hope that's alright.

    Enjoy :) -Storm Rider-

Nicole Crystal Welsh is starting her sophomore year at her California performing Arts school with the best social status possible- a floater. Someone popular enough to hang with the popular crowd yet still have the ability to sit with newbies or freshmen. In a place where looks are everything Nicole is beyond satisfied with her position when the inevitable happens- girl meets boy. Floaters are usually loners but Nicole is popular enough to make it work, that's not the issue. The problem is Caleb is a whopping 5'6 and Nicole is 6'1. In a place where looks are everything Nicole must find the strength to break the cookie cutter mold or lose everything she's ever worked for with a few bumps along the way.

You wonder why you're here and what they're going to do with you. Almost everything makes no sense to you anymore.

The only thing you really do know is that the fear they've exposed within you is playing with your mind.

    @Tarnished http://www.wattpad.com/story/1251791-the-lost-dreamer

When fifteen-year-old Eden Paris discovers that not only is she not human but rather, a descendant of gods and angels, a demiangel, she is plunged into the world of the Ethereal Society, a society of the higher half-bloods. Eden is determined to sever herself from the world she thought only existed in books and fairytales but it seems that the only way to get out of the mess her Scent caused her was to tie herself to the handsome yet intolerable and haughty young William Sage as his Consor, a warrior sworn by blood and soul to protect his other to death.

Something stirs outside of the protective barrier of the Sanctuary. More and more demiangels have been reported kidnapped and hadn't been discovered nor heard from anyone. When Eden learns that her best friend is in grave danger, she is drawn deeper into the secrets of the Hidden World.

In this adventure packed novel, Eden learns that some things are rather much better off hidden under the covers of her books.

@Tarnished Hey, I didn't want to post here because you've got your hands full so I thought I'd ask first if it was alright to put my story down too? :)

@Tarnished Hey there. :) It would be awesome if you could read my story and give your honest thoughts about it. :) I would especially appreciate it if you could read at least more than a chapter or two (I promise, the chapters are relatively short). Of course, you need not vote or become a fan if you aren’t satisfied. I would just really like your honest feedback. :) After that, if you think my story is interesting enough for you, feel free to read on. Here’s the link and a teaser. http://www.wattpad.com/story/443005-soul-of-the-phoenix

WARNING: This story contains secrets and scenes not recommended for the faint of heart. But if you are strong and brave enough to believe that there are greater powers at work, forces of which we hardly know, and gifted creatures and humans who walk among us everyday, then you've come to the right place. If you believe in the power that exists deep within all of us, and if you believe in the importance of friendship, trust and love, then read on. And spread the word. We all have powers that are unique to us. Are you ready to find out about yours? Enjoy reading. :)

I'll give your story a shot too! :)
