After what felt like 20 hours of sleep Julie finally woke me up.
"Okay I'm sorry I lost track of time but I'm arrrr we are supposed to be in the lobby now!"She said while she frantically while running around grabbing things.
I lept of the bed and quickly redid my hair in the mirror before grabbing your hockey bag and running out of the room with Julie meters behind me. I waited impatiently for the elevator which seemed to be taking forever to come to our floor. While waiting for the elevator I couldn't help but just laugh,
"We are bloody idiots"
"You can say that again," Julie said before laughing
Finally, the elevator arrived, I quickly clicked the lobby floor and began to make our way down the floors. I race out the elevator and found Mr. Tibbles with four other players,
"Oh there you are, I was about to send somebody up to get you. Now no time for introductions you can all get to know each other when we are in the car. Mr. Tibbles quickly lead us to the same limo I arrived in, I said hello to Ron again before we were all forced into the car.
"Okay time for introductions, as you all know you will be joining the ducks so it is important you all get friendly with each other before you meet them.They have been a team for quite a long time now so they might be a bit protective of there team"
"Well howdy I'm Dwayne and I'm from Texas"
This boy was a stereotypical Texan,like the ones you see in movies.
"Dwayne here is an amazing puck handler and shooter"
"Hey I'm Julie"
"Julie here has won five championships as a goalie for her team in Maine"
"I'm Kenny"
"Kenny here used to be a figure skater but now he is the most agile hockey player I have ever seen"
"I'm Elyse," I say
"Elyse here is the best defensemen I have seen for a long time, she's also from Australia but due to her duel-citizenship she is able to play for team USA"
I looked at the ground, I rarely got complimented by people other than my coach, friends, and family.
"Hey I'm Luis"
"Very fast skater, I'm talking 1.8 seconds blue line to blue line"
"Dean"
"Dean is honestly the toughest person I've come across"
So from what I've gathered, Dwayne is a rootin shooting cowboy who has hella skills, Luis is literally speedy Gonzagas, Kenny is a little pocket rocket and Dean is the opposite of Kenny.
For the next 10 minutes of the trip, I mainly spoke to Julie and a little bit to Kenny,it turns out Kenny actually went to the junior olympics for ice skating.Although it was a little awkward between all of us I could tell that in no time we would all become friends.
Eventually, we made it to the rink, we went inside and was shown a change rooms, and were told to be out on the ice in 15 minutes. Julie and I made our way over to the corner of the locker room and got changed into our gear. I helped put on her pads and then made our way to the door leading us out to the rink.
Well here goes nothing.
