A soft chuckle left your lips as you shook your head hearing Jin make a funny impression of something the professor had said earlier, whilst you all made your way over to the cafeteria to grab some lunch together, but stopped in your tracks when your eyes caught a certain someone sitting at a table by himself reading a book
Upon seeing the male who had been gone for nearly a week now, you frowned and tilted your head slowly, subconsciously finding yourself studying him from afar, only breaking out of your trance after Namjoon wrapped his arm around your shoulder whilst humming, clearly having followed your lingering gaze on Jungkook as he answered your unspoken question
Namjoon: He was just released from the hospital wing, you really wouldn't believe he almost died a week ago now would you? He looks completely fine.
Jin: Yeah, but it took a whole week to heal the wounds on him. People are calling it a freak accident but honestly, was it really?
A soft hum left your lips as you shrugged, studying the male once more as memories from that day haunted your mind, somehow not believing such a horrific scene could've happened all from a mere accident
Taehyung: Freak accident huh...
Namjoon: He made it to the top 3, but no one has been able to figure out what his power is...
When your eyes briefly met, he instantly looked away as you began to approach the table he was sitting at, tapping the hard surface of the wooden table whilst looking down at him, eventually seeing how he finally glanced back up at you as he spoke with annoyance coating his tone
Jungkook: Kim I really don't want to deal with your cocky bullshit right now.
Your friends snickered softly loving his attitude towards you meanwhile you rolled your eyes, showing him a soft smirk
Taehyung: Well aren't you a ray of sunshine today hm?
He rolled his eyes as he flashed you a fake smile, his eyes however sending you harsh glares as he leaned back in his seat
Jungkook: I said I don't want to deal with your cocky bullshit today Kim, are you deaf?
An unbothered hum left your lips as you shrugged before crossing your arms, eyes trailing towards his chest, where last time you saw him, horrible deep cuts leaking blood decorated the smooth and pale skin
Taehyung: Bet that spell left some bad scarring huh
He suddenly stood up and grabbed his book before smirking, looking you dead in the eyes with an almost seductive look as he spoke calmly and tauntingly
Jungkook: Why, are you eager to find out Kim?
The bold and unexpected words of his made you widen your eyes in surprise, cheeks heating up as they were painted with a subtle crimson, earning a teasing chuckle out of him as he grabbed his things and walked off.
Upon hearing the sound of muted snickers, you glanced over to your side seeing your friends who had been watching the scene unfold, now covering their mouths to silence their amused giggles
Namjoon: Well that was... something huh? Bet you didn't expect that
Jin giggled as he patted your back whilst you cleared your throat, rolling your eyes as he spoke
Jin: Aww did he make you flustered hm?
Taehyung: Shut up he did not...
【 Jungkook 】
After hearing the unexpected comment from Taehyung, you stood up and grabbed your books before looking up at him, flashing him a confident smirk whilst trying to look as calm as possible when you spoke up in a purposely taunting manner
Jungkook: Why, are you eager to find out Kim?
His eyes instantly flashed a soft blue combined with a pretty purple as his cheeks got painted a light crimson, making you chuckle as you knew you had successfully left him a bit stunned whilst walking off to go find your friends.
Once you found the table they were at you immediately sat down, a bright crimson finally spreading its way onto your own cheeks as you covered your face in embarrassment, muttering out a ''Holy shit have I gone mad?! Why did I say that...'' whilst they watched you in confusion
Hoseok: What happened? We saw you talking to Taehyung just now
Yoongi: Did he say something?
Jimin eyed you suspiciously as he hummed, eyes traveling between you and him as he crossed his arms
Jimin: ...What did you say to him Jungkook?
You looked up at them before lowering your head shyly, biting your bottom lip as you shrugged and muttered out a soft reply, somewhat hoping they wouldn't hear it as you felt embarrassed to repeat the nonsense you had uttered in an attempt to annoy him
Jungkook: Taehyung mentioned that the spell must've left some bad scars- and I... m-may or may not have.. replied to him with ''Why, are you eager to find out?''...
They gasped in surprise before simultaneously breaking down into a fit of amused laughter
Jimin: SO THATS WHY YOU TWO WERE BLUSHING?!
Hoseok: HAND OVER THE 10$ THAT WAS DEFINITELY FLIRTING!
Yoongi rolled his eyes muttering a ''Yeah yeah'' as he handed over the money to Hoseok, meanwhile you blushed even more, trying to defend your actions which certainly were not of flirtatious intent
Jungkook: IT WAS NOT SHUT UP! I just tried to come up with a good comeback quickly, but hey it worked because I won!
Jimin smiled teasingly as he patted your back, feeding you a grape in order to make you hush as he spoke
Jimin: Whatever helps you sleep at night Koo
You rolled your eyes as you chewed the grape bitterly, muttering softly under your breath as you glared over at the said male currently finding a table to sit at with his friends
Jungkook: No way in hell I'd flirt with that cocky bastard, I'm not that insane... He's annoying and he gets on my nerves!
| Later...
The cold night breeze softly made the tree bashes sway as you were on your way back to the dormitory after having taken a short night walk, a soft melody in the form of a hum leaving your lips as you enjoyed the peacefulness of the night, though you couldn't helo but frown as the sound of a twig breaking somewhere behind you caught your attention.
Once you turned around, your breath hitched in surprise seeing Woojin standing right behind you with a sly smirk. Before you could say anything, he swiftly grabbed ahold of your arm and pulled you off to a more secluded area on campus, harshly slamming you against the nearest wall earning choked coughs out of you as the force and impact was great enough to painfully knock the air out of your lungs
Jungkook: W-what the hell is your problem?!
He rolled his eyes as he eyed you up and down, crossing his arms in disappointment as he huffed
Woojin: Guess that's all a curse like that could do, maybe two more slashes of it would've done the job... But then again, one was easier to get away with...
You gritted your teeth as you launched forward, tightly grabbing ahold of his shirt's collar as you glared up at him, speaking in a threatening tone
Jungkook: ...You fucking bastard, leave me alone or else-!
The taunting smirk on his lips only grew wider as he stared down at you, unbothered by your threat as he merely just poked your chest tauntingly
Woojin: -Or else what hm? You'll go off barking to the teacher like the mutt you are?
You felt your blood begin to boil with anger as you tightened your grip on his collar, huffing as you returned his smirk
Jungkook: Maybe I will? Maybe people deserve to know your true colors Kim Woojin...
Woojin: Then shall I also tell everyone about that book about conjuring spells with no powers I saw you reading at the library.. and about how you're just a powerless little mudblood trying to deceive us all?
His words instantly made your hands drop from his collar as you backed away slowly in shock, so he really knew about it all, it wasn't just a meaningless bully attempt
Jungkook: W-what..?
He snickered as his smirk disappeared, a scary and emotionless look now taking over his whole face making you tremble in slight fear as to what he'll do
Woojin: That's right... I know about your dirty secret, I would've done everyone a favour if you could've just died back at the second test, but no you just had to be difficult and make me do the dirty work in person for the final test!
A shaky breath left your lips as he began to take threatening steps towards you, once again making you back up until your back hit the wall again as he continued with his taunts
Woojin: Maybe I should just finish the job right here, right now-
But just as you flinched seeing him about to raise his wand at you, someone swiftly moved in front of you and harshly pushed him away, making you gulp as you widened your eyes seeing Taehyung stood in front of you currently, eyes a dark red as he glared at the male, almost spitting pure venom as he spoke in a deep and threatening tone
Taehyung: Fuck off while I'm asking nicely. Or do you want me to tell the professors about your confession just now?
Woojin huffed in annoyance before letting his eyes trail back over towards you, nodding with a knowing smirk as he spoke lowly
Woojin: Remember what I said.
Once he walked off, you watched as Taehyung turned towards you and rolled his eyes in annoyance
Fuck how much of the conversation did he hear...?
Jungkook: What's your problem? I didn't ask for your help Kim.
Taehyung: Then next time stand up for yourself better idiot...
You lowered your head in embarrassment as you rubbed your arm, feeling like his eyes were burning holes into you as you hesitantly spoke up
Jungkook: H-how much did you hear..?
That same unreadable expression you disliked remained on his face as he crossed his arms and raised an eyebrow at you, only making you feel even more nervous as you tried to stop yourself from flinching at his words
Taehyung: Why? Is there something shouldn't have heard Jeon?
You looked up at him and opened your mouth to defend yourself, only to stop yourself as you bit your bottom lip and stayed quiet, making him shake his head as he turned around to walk away, muttering out a ''I only heard him confess to tampering with the tests, trying to kill you'' loud enough for you to hear.
He began walking off so you quickly cleared your throat before calling out to him
Jungkook: Hey Kim..?
Upon hearing your voice, he briefly stopped and glanced back towards you, so you sighed and scratched the back of your head lightly as you spoke up again
Jungkook: Thanks.. for saving me just now, I guess..
He only nodded silently as an acknowledgment of your words before walking off, not muttering another word as he left you there alone
