In the bathroom, Rose and Dylan sat on both sides of the tub.

"Is it really okay with you I was your first?" Dylan asked.

"Is that important?" she questioned.

"For most girls, yes, it is." he answered.

"I'm not like them, I guess, but let me remind you. I didn't do that because I wanted to. You were just so distressing crying like an idiot for sex." she clarified, making a face.

He frowned. "Why? Didn't I satisfy you? Weren't you aroused?"

"If you're talking about the sexual sensation from having sex with someone, I didn't feel it... but it was fun." she answered casually.

"Are you serious? You mean you only think it was a kind of game?" he asked, feeling dismayed.

"Sort of" she answered.

"After all I did to you, you still felt nothing? ...Aww, you're hurting my ego." he said in a dramatic tone.

"Did I satisfy you?" She returned the question.

He felt slightly defeated knowing she really did. "Yeah... I liked it." he admitted in a low and embarrassed voice.

"Well, it's actually very obvious. After all you've done to me in bed, and all those weird requests you asked me to do, I'm pretty sure I satisfied you." she replied certainly.

"It's too late to complain now." he said.

"Hey, this is only between you and me. Can you promise that?" she asked.

It was only at that time Dylan remembered his friend. His extreme thirst for sex made him forget that Max had a crush on her. He swallowed an air imagining him finding out he already touched the girl he liked.

"Yes, you're right. No one should ever know about it." he agreed.

"There's one more thing I want you to promise." she added.

"What is it?" he asked.

"Even if we already did something that only two people with strong connection are morally allowed to do, I still want you to promise that you will never ever... fall in love with me." she appealed.

He sniggered. He thought it was funny, but oddly there was something else in him that he couldn't understand. He knew himself very well, but at that moment, he could not explain why he felt hurt by what she wanted him to do.

"Pfft! I already told you what type of girls I like. That won't be a problem." he answered, yet he wasn't sure if those words were really the words he wanted to say.

"Good" she replied.

"We're like friends with benefits." he said facetiously.

"No, we're not, because you're the only one who benefits." she disagreed.

He chuckled. "Can we... do it again some other time?"

"No. Next time, I'll get you a hooker." she answered.

"But I don't like old and overused women." he complained.

"And I don't want to be your toy. Let me remind you again, I only did that out of pity, and because you did me a lot of favors lately." she reasoned.

"Hey, I'm not like that. I didn't treat you like a toy. I can't help but be thoughtless in my actions sometimes, but I'm certainly not a rough guy in bed. I always do it gently and with respect." he clarified, trying to clean his intentions.

"Still no. Find yourself a girlfriend. That's not part of my job." she refused.

"Wow, you sound like it's very easy." he said sarcastically.

"Then, fuck yourself just like before." she suggested.

"Oh, not again. That's the loneliest thing a guy could do in desperate times." he replied in a disappointed tone.

"That's not my problem." she said, raising an eyebrow.

"Please, have mercy" he begged.

"I'm done bathing with you." she told him, then she got up and went out of the tub.

"You're so cruel, Rose." he whined, trying to sound more dramatic.

"I'll go back to my room now. Don't drown yourself." After she put her clothes back on, she left.

On weekend, Max visited at the house.

"So, you decided to live here, huh?" he asked.

Dylan was very uncomfortable with his friend's sudden visit thinking that he was hiding an awful secret from him.

"Yeah. When it comes to convenience, I'm always impulsive." Rose answered.

"I see. Well, this is actually better. At least you're not alone now." he replied.

"Don't worry about me. I won't get sick again." she assured.

He smiled. "Hey, Dylan. It's my sister's wedding next week. She told me to invite you."

"Really? I didn't know Karen has a boyfriend." he replied in a surprised tone.

Max chuckled. "She met the guy a year ago. Now, they're getting married."

"Okay, I'll be there." he agreed.

"You can come too, Rose." Max invited her.

"Even if you don't invite me, I'm sure someone will drag me there anyway." she replied, eyeing on Dylan.

He chuckled again. "I'll pick you up since none of you can drive."

Before the day of the wedding, Rose accompanied Dylan to the shopping center to help him buy a suit. He told her to pick any dress she liked, but she refused. She insisted she was not wearing those kinds of clothes.

"And what do you plan to wear tomorrow?" he asked.

"Don't worry. I have decent clothes I can use. I'm really not comfortable wearing skirts or dresses." she answered.

"All right. But be sure you will look presentable because you're with a handsome guy." he told her.

She rolled her eyes.

The next day, while Dylan was fixing his tie, his mom arrived home. She went to his room to greet him.

"Hi, sweetie. Where're you going? You're all dressed up." she asked, smiling at her gorgeous son.

"It's Karen's wedding today." he answered.

"Oh, is that Maxwell's big sister?" she asked.

His: "Yeah"

Her: "I see."

"Do I look okay, mom?" he asked.

Mrs. Walton fixed his bow tie. "There, you're all set."

"Hey, Dylan. Are you read..." Rose paused when she saw Mrs. Walton in his room. "Oh, good morning, Mrs. Walton." she greeted.

"Hi, Rose. How are you?" she asked with a smile.

"I'm doing great." Rose answered.

Dylan approached them. "Are you ready, Rose?"

"Yep" she answered.

Mrs. Walton noticed her clothes didn't match her son's attire. "Rose, I think you should wear a dress." she suggested in a concerned tone.

"Oh, um... I don't wear dresses, Mrs. Walton. I think my clothes are fine. I'm only there to assist Dylan anyway." she refused cordially.

"Yeah, they're fine, but... don't you think you should match Dylan since you are his partner?" Mrs. Walton asked.

"I'm not his partner. I'm just 'the helper'." she clarified.

"I already tried to convince her mom, but she really doesn't want to." Dylan butted in.

Mrs. Walton was still not convinced. "I insist. You're a pretty girl. You should wear something nicer. Come on, I have a lot of dresses in my closet. Let's find one for you. I've never dressed up a girl before because I only have a son." she told her.

"But..." Rose was undone talking when Mrs. Walton dragged her out of the room.

"Dylan, give us a few minutes. I'll just fix your partner real quick!" she yelled.

He chuckled sensing his mom's excitement.

After half an hour, Max arrived. He found Dylan waiting in the living room.

"Hey, bro. Where's Rose?" he asked.

"Still with mom" Dylan answered.

"Oh, aunt Vic is here? Why? What're they doing?" he asked in a curious tone.

Before Dylan could answer, his mom came.

"Hi, Maxwell" she greeted.

"Hi, auntie" he greeted back.

"We're done, and I love the result." she told them with a smile, then she looked to her right. "Come out, Rose!"

Behind the display cabinet, Rose appeared. She walked slowly towards them as she was looking down. She was very anxious to see their reactions.

Max dropped his jaw when he saw her.

"Pretty, right? I picked a light pink dress for her to match her blue hair, and I also put a little makeup on her. What do you think, boys?" Mrs. Walton asked, sounding very proud.

"Are you also asking me, mom?" Dylan joked, but in a serious tone.

"Sorry, sweetie" she apologized.

"Wow... You look... You look beautiful, Rose. I mean... I've never seen you in a dress before... I think you should wear dresses every day." Max said, struggling a little to express himself because he was really surprised and captivated.

Rose became more embarrassed. She was not really comfortable with what she was wearing at that time. She only didn't want to argue with Mrs. Walton, so she let her do girly stuff on her.

Meanwhile, although Dylan was quiet on his seat, he was really very curious and envious.

In the car, Max kept looking at Rose in the rear-view mirror. He would smile every time he sees her cute, little, shy face. When they arrived at the venue, he took them to their seats.

"Stay here. I'll be back after the ceremony." he told them, but he was only looking at Rose.

"Okay" she replied, then she noticed he was not leaving. She raised her hand and gave him a light slap in the face.

"Stop staring. You're making me more uncomfortable." she told him.

He chuckled as he was rubbing his cheek. "All right"

When he left, Rose guided Dylan to his chair, then she sat next to him.

"Are you really beautiful today?" he asked. He was still a bit upset that he could not see her in a dress.

"Shut up. I appreciate your mom's effort, but I really don't feel okay right now." she answered.

"We've been together for months. We've already done so many things together. From simply doing your job to something more intimate, but it's only now it came to me, how weird it is to think I still don't know what you look like." he said, wondering.

"Are we really going to talk about that now? Just so you know, there are many people around us." she replied.

"I'm really curious." he insisted.

She sighed. "I look ordinary, okay? There's nothing special about me, so you have nothing to be curious about." she told him in a low voice.

He heard her, but he was not convinced.
