~With Peter~
I forgave Kairi since the incident when she didn't tell me about her past relationship with Naito. I mean he abused her physically! How can I blame her for leaving a guy who I was friends with, who is literally an asshole? And to test Kairi on her commitment to me, I need her to be tested with the most painful thing she probably doesn't have: a tattoo of her choosing.
~9:00 PM~
I woke up to Kairi humming in the shower and I will admit, she sounded really good! Anyway, I got up and waited for her. Five minutes later, she was done and I went in. After 20 minutes(ten minutes to shower, shave, and dress), I went down to hear her cooking still humming.
Me: Hey, sweetie.
Kairi: Hi, my love.
Me: What are you cooking?
Kairi: Just the basics. Sausage, bacon, and eggs.
Me: Okay. Want me to help you?
Kairi: Yes please.
I helped her with the cooking getting a plate for each item. After a minute, we dug in. I didn't know Kairi would cook this good!
Me: You did a good job, Kairi! This is good!
Kairi: Oh, thank-you!
Me: Since we have nothing to do, wanna just hang out?
Kairi: Why not?
Me: Also, since our fight a week ago-
Kairi: Peter, don't.
Me: Just listen for a minute. I wanna give you a little test.
Kairi: What kind of test?
I pointed at my barbed wire tattoo and she knew what I meant.
Kairi: No. I don't want a tattoo.
Me: Kairi. I had a time where a girl lied to me about something, I just don't want history repeating itself.
Kairi looked down and I know that she doesn't want to, but it's a way to know if she will be by my side every step of the way.
Me: Hey, look at me.
She looked at me with a look of fear about a tattoo.
Me: How about this, I'll treat you to lunch at a restaurant of your choosing, and I'll get a tattoo with you. Okay? Also, if you pass the test, I'll make you dinner. How's that?
Kairi: I'm not used to seeing tattoos, but for you, I'll try to pass it.
Me: That's what I wanna hear.
I hugged her as I cleaned up the plates, put them in the dishwasher, and took her to the best tattoo joint ever. Before we left, Kairi put on the promise ring I bought her as a good luck charm.
~At the Joint; 20 minutes later~
This place I heard got many 4.5 out of 5 to 5 out of 5 ratings, which was perfect for Kairi. I even heard they're extremely friendly to people who are nervous about getting their first tattoo. And since we're wrestlers, there's a chance they just might give us a discount.
Artist: Hello?
Me: Hey!
Artist: You're Peter Reynolds, if I'm not mistaken?
Me: No you're absolutely right.
Artist: I'm Mike, I'll be your artist today. How many of you getting a tattoo?
Me: She and I are getting one.
Mike: Oh, this is your first?
Kairi nodded silently, and I found it to be so cute.
Me: She's getting her first tattoo. Give her some time?
Mike: Yeah of course man.
Me: I'll go first for you Kairi just so you can be ready. Okay?
Kairi: Okay.
She kissed me good luck and we went in the room.
Mike: Okay, what do you wanna get?
Me: First I'm from Canada so I wanna do a Canadian flag with blood coming from the edges of the ripped skin. And I want it on my left calf.
Mike: Oh, that's sick!
Me: Think you can do it?
Mike: Yes sir. Let me come up with a design and I'll show you when I'm done. Okay?
Me: Sounds good. I'll be in the waiting room.
Mike: I'll be right back.
He got to work on the design as I went to the waiting room.
~15 minutes later~
The design was finished and we got the inking underway.
~One hour and a half later~
Mike: Alright, we are done!
He showed me it and I loved every detail of it.
When I got out to show Kairi, she loved it.
Me: You know you're next, right?
Kairi: I know.
She was breathing a bit heavy and I know she is nervous.
Me: I know you're nervous, but remember what I said. I'll treat you to lunch and cook dinner. Can you do that for me?
Kairi: I'll try.
Me: Good.
She went in and I was waiting for her to stay committed to me.
~With Kairi~
I went into the room and I was nervous, but this is for my Peter and I promised to stay with him.
Mike: Since you're in NXT as a Pirate Princess, do you want anything related to the ocean?
Me: Can we do like an anchor on my right anchor?
Mike: Of course, yeah. Since it's your first, I'll give you some time to take it all in.
Me: Thank-you.
Mike: Sure. Stay in here and I'll draw the design.
Mike went into his studio and 10 minutes later, he came up with an anchor that looked so good.
Mike: What do you think?
Me: That looks so nice. Let's do it.
Mike: Are you sure? The time to pull out is now if you don't want to.
It was now or never. I love Peter and I'm willing to stay committed to him.
Me: I'm sure.
Mike: Alright! Wait to Peter sees this.
~45 minutes later~
Mike: Okay! We are done! Are you ready to see it?
Me: I am.
I looked down to see the anchor done so beautifully.
Me: Oh my God. I love it so much!
Mike: It didn't take much, now did it?
Me: Yep it didn't!
I texted Pete to come back over here and he was surprised by the beauty of it.
Peter: WOW! Kairi you did it!
He hugged me as I hugged back.
~With Peter~
Peter: How much will it be, man?
Mike: About $1,231.
Me: Alright.
I paid him and we went home. Kairi was still happy about the tattoos we got.
Me: Where do you wanna eat?
Kairi: TGI Fridays?
Me: Alright.
We drove over there and we had the time of our lives. Even when we got home, I made her some spaghetti that my mom would make. She loved every bite of it.
Kairi has passed the test and that showed me she is fully committed to staying with me.
