Coming out isn't always easy, not for Mitch.

"Hey! Wait up!" Scott shouts as he runs to the short boy.
"Oh... Hi..." Mitch blushes.
Scott is the most handsome jock of the school.
"You're dating my best friend's little sister, right?" Scott asks.
"Kirstin? What about her?" Mitch asks timidly.
"She is invited to a party, but my best friend doesn't want her to go. There are no parents and lots of alcohol. Maybe you could talk to her?" Scott explains.
"Oh... Actually, I'm her plus one." Mitch chuckles.
"Really? I didn't think of you as a party animal." Scott says.
"I am not, but everything for the girl. Will you be there too?" Mitch smiles.
"Of course. I've got to keep the reputation high for the team." Scott says.
"Reputation. Of course." Mitch sighs.
"Hey, I have to go. See you at the party?" Scott says.
"Sure. See you there." Mitch nods.
Scott walks away and Mitch stares at him.
Scott turns around and smiles at Mitch.
"Stop that. You'll stare the beauty off of me!" Scott teases.
Mitch blushes and waves at Scott.

"Did my brother tell you to watch me or something?" Kirstin pouts.
"No, baby. I just want you to be safe." Mitch says.
Mitch kisses Kirstin to make her smile again.
"Okay, because I don't want my brother to interfere with my life. I am 16. This party is awesome." Kirstin smiles.
"Yes. Scott might be somewhere here too. Have you seen him?" Mitch asks.
"Scott? THE Scott Hoying? Why? Since when are you talking to him? Is there something I should know about?" Kirstin asks.
"Know about what? He approached me. He talked to me first. He said he would be at the party, that's all. Why are you so nervous about it?" Mitch asks.
"He's gay and you're pretty." Kirstin says.
"He is? Oh, I didn't know that. I mean, he's not showing any gay vibes." Mitch blushes.
"He just broke up with his boyfriend. My brother is his best friend, I hear them talk sometimes." Kirstin says.
"Right..." Mitch whispers.
"Look, there he is!" Kirstin says and waves at Scott.
Scott walks to them.
"Hey, Kirstie. Mitch... Hi." Scott greets.
"Hello." Mitch smiles.
"Enjoying the party?" Scott asks.
"I do! This party is awesome!" Kirstin giggles.
"You sound jolly!" Scott says and gives Mitch a look.
Mitch shrugs and flashes a smile. Scott blinks a few times.
"Umm, can I talk to you for a minute?" Scott asks.
"Sure." Mitch answers.
The boys walk to an empty room. Scott closes the door.
"How many drinks did she have?" Scott smiles.
"Not much. Like 2 or 3?" Mitch smiles back.
"And you?" Scott asks.
"Just 1. I don't drink much. I have no control over myself when I'm drunk." Mitch chuckles.
"No control, huh?" Scott smirks.
"Nope. Definitely not." Mitch says.
"So... Can I get you a drink?" Scott offers.
"You want to get me a drink?" Mitch says softly.
"That's what I offered, yes." Scott says.
"Yeah. One drink is alright." Mitch nods.
Scott opens the door for Mitch and makes a gesture.
"Ladies first." Scott smiles.
"I'm not a lady." Mitch huffs.
"I saw you staring at me last time..." Scott starts.
"I was just amazed that you started talking to me. I mean, who notices me anyways?" Mitch says.
"Well, I do." Scott winks.
"I've heard you broke up with your boyfriend." Mitch says.
"Wow. That rumor spreads fast." Scott laughs.
"Is it a rumor?" Mitch asks.
"No. I broke up with him. He was too masculine and tried to boss me around. He's not for me." Scott tells.
"Oh... Are you a dominant one?" Mitch blushes.
"Yes. In a good way. I like to pamper my boyfriend. Take care of them." Scott says.
Mitch swallows and looks at Scott. Scott looks back at Mitch.
"Why?" Scott asks.
"I was just curious." Mitch says.
Scott smiles and shakes his head a little.
"I'll get you a drink. Stay here." Scott says as he walks to the kitchen.
Mitch waits for Scott and then sees Kirstin. She's dancing with Benjamin.
"Great, he's seeing his chance for sure." Mitch whispers.
"A mojito for the curious boy." Scott smiles as he hands the drink to Mitch.
"A mojito? How?" Mitch asks.
"You seem fancy." Scott shrugs.
"Beer was fine too, but thank you. I like to be seen as fancy." Mitch laughs and he takes a sip of his mojito.
Mitch coughs.
"Whoa! This tastes like you want to have me drunk within 10 minutes!" Mitch exclaims.
"Nah... You're just not used to it." Scott shrugs.
"Here. Taste it yourself." Mitch says.
Scott takes a sip.
"Not too bad if you ask me." Scott says.
Mitch gives Scott an eyeroll.
"Let's share. I am not going to drink it all." Mitch sighs.
"Sure. Umm... I think you've lost Kirstie to Benjamin." Scott chuckles.
"Nah, they're friends. Watch this." Mitch smiles.
Mitch waves at Kirstin and she immediately walks to him.
"Hi, cutie! Needed me?" Kirstin asks.
"Are you having fun, baby?" Mitch asks.
"Yes. Ben wanted to dance with me. He's a little drunk, so funny." Kirstin giggles.
"I see that." Scott laughs.
"Just making sure you're enjoying yourself. Go dance with him." Mitch says.
Kirstin walks back to Benjamin.
"You're lucky to have her. She loves you." Scott says.
"I am... She is sweet." Mitch nods.
The party continues until 2 AM. Mitch starts to feel a bit dizzy when he walks outside. He loses his balance.
"Hey. Don't fall." Scott laughs as he holds Mitch.
Mitch looks up at Scott and blushes.
"You're right. I am not used to a 'rich' mojito." Mitch laughs.
"Do you need a walk back home?" Scott asks.
"I'm supposed to walk Kirstin back..." Mitch says.
"We could walk her back together..." Scott offers.
"Yes. Can I umm..." Mitch whispers.
Scott holds Mitch and Mitch leans into Scott's side.
They walk Kirstin home.
When Scott walks Mitch home, they talk about everything and what not.
"This is weird." Mitch laughs.
"Hmm? What's weird?" Scott asks.
"A few days ago you wouldn't even know that I'd exist and now we're acting like we're best friends." Mitch laughs.
"Oh. I've noticed you so many times, but I didn't have a conversation starter. Not until Matt told me about the party." Scott smiles.
"Why didn't you just talk to me then?" Mitch asks.
"I did, didn't I?" Scott says.
"I mean, before." Mitch whispers.
"I'd rather observe you, I think." Scott says.
"Observe me? That sounds like a stalker move." Mitch laughs.
"Well, maybe I am. Mitchell Coby Michael Grassi, I'm your stalkerrrrr." Scott teases.
"See! You even know my full name!" Mitch fake gasps.
"Who doesn't?" Scott says.
"Ugh, stalkers." Mitch pouts.
"Does she know?" Scott asks suddenly.
"Know what?" Mitch asks.
"That you're...." Scott smiles.
"I don't know what you're talking about!" Mitch says with panic in his voice.
"Hey, it's okay." Scott says as he hugs Mitch.
"I haven't told anyone yet... Wait... How did you..." Mitch sighs.
"Gaydar ringing loudly." Scott says.
"Please keep this between us." Mitch begs.
"It's not my place to out you to anyone." Scott smiles.
"I am tired." Mitch yawns.
The boys wish each other a good night and Scott walks home.

Scott and Mitch become great friends. Scott even developes a huge crush on Mitch. It goes well, until he couldn't contain himself anymore...
"You need to tell her." Scott sighs as he dresses himself again.
"Right. Hey, Kirstin... I'm fucking your brother's best friend for a few weeks now." Mitch says.
"I am fucking you, but yeah. Did you even tell anyone?" Scott asks.
Mitch stays quiet.
"Mitchy... I know coming out isn't easy..." Scott says.
"Your coming out seemed flawless." Mitch says.
"Not flawless... Yes, I didn't have much trouble. But I was scared too." Scott tells Mitch.
"Remember when you kissed me in the middle of the night on the field? For the first time?" Mitch asks.
"How could I forget that?" Scott smiles.
"I was so scared. I wanted to kiss you back, but my fear took over." Mitch says.
"Yes. I thought you didn't like me back." Scott chuckles.
"I do. I like you." Mitch smiles.
"Well, I know that now." Scott winks.
"Ugh! How am I gonna tell herrrr?" Mitch sighs.
"You'll find a way." Scott smiles.

"Kirstin, I need to tell you something..." Mitch starts.
"What do you need to tell me?" Kirstin asks.
"I don't know how to tell you this, without hurting you." Mitch sighs.
"Did you... Did you fall in love with another girl?" Kirstin asks.
"No. I didn't." Mitch whispers.
"Then what?!" Kirstin shouts.
"A boy! I fell in love with a boy!" Mitch shouts back.
"A boy?!" Kirstin gasps.
"I'm sorry..." Mitch says.
"You're gay?" Kirstin asks.
"I might be." Mitch whispers.
"You fell in love with a BOY, Mitch. A BOY. That seems pretty gay to me." Kirstin says.
"I just know that I love him." Mitch sighs.
"Who is it?" Kirstin asks.
"That's not important." Mitch answers.
"I am asking you... Who the fuck is it, Mitch?" Kirstin whisperyells.
"Your brother's best friend..." Mitch mumbles.
"Scott?! You fell in love with SCOTT FUCKING HOYING?!" Kirstin yells.
"Yes..." Mitch says.
"I told you he would steal you from me. You're pretty. He likes pretty boys. Great... Just great! How am I going to tell Matt? This will be the end of their friendship. What about me?" Kirstin rants.
"I'm sorry. I didn't plan to fall for him. When he kissed me a few weeks ago..." Mitch says.
"A few weeks ago?! Wow... It gets better every single minute." Kirstin says.
"I didn't know how to tell you." Mitch explains.
"Did you have sex with him?" Kirstin asks.
"Yes." Mitch answers honestly.
"Great. We never get past holding hands, kisses and cuddles... But you just fuck him?!" Kirstin cries.
"I... It went so fast after that first kiss." Mitch says.
"I am a girl, Mitch. I have feelings too." Kirstin sobs.
"I know. I tried to avoid this... I didn't want to break your heart. I am so sorry." Mitch sighs.
"How long would you keep this from me?" Kirstin asks.
"I wanted to tell you right away. I was so scared. So confused too. I swear, I wanted to tell you. You're a sweet girl." Mitch answers.
"Stop. I don't need some sweet talk." Kirstin says and she runs downstairs.

Mitch knocks on Scott's door.
"Honey? What's wrong?" Scott asks as he sees a crying Mitch in front of him.
Scott holds Mitch tightly in his arms.
"She outed me to everyone. Even my parents and sisters." Mitch sobs.
"Oh no. I'm so sorry, honey." Scott whispers.
"Can I stay with you for a while?" Mitch asks.
"Of course, Mitchy. You know you're welcome here..." Scott says.
"I know... Scotty... Thanks for approaching me that day. Thanks for noticing me." Mitch whispers.
"Aww, cutie. You're welcome." Scott says and he kisses Mitch.
Mitch presses his lips tighter to Scott's. It's okay to be gay.
"I am so happy with you." Mitch mumbles against Scott's lips.
Scott looks at Mitch and smiles.
"I love you, Mitchy. You're perfect for me. Nobody can come between us." Scott smiles.
"You're perfect. I love you." Mitch smiles back.
The boys spend the rest of the evening cuddling on the couch, watching movies. Mitch got outed by someone else, it's scary... But with Scott he can handle everything.
