-----NO ONE'S POV-----
Back up arrived later than they expected, Tsunade along with Yamato ran into the forest and met up with Kakashi, Iruka and Naruto who was still on his knees, his head buried in his arms on the ground sobbing angrily. Tsunade in one glance understood the students devastated expressions on their face. Yamato ran to Kakashi and asked him what happened.
"She surrendered herself." Yamato looked at him surprised.
"Surrender? Senpai what are you talking about?"
"She gave herself up because they threatened to kill Isamu." Kakashi closed his eyes.
"We were so close but we're too late. They already went into the portal."
Iruka stood up and sat beside Naruto stroking his back.
"I can't believe it. We we're too late." Sakura said.
"Take the students and bring them to the hospital. Have them checked and questioned. Shizune, have the others put out the fire and search the area for any stragglers." Tsunade ordered.
"Yes Lady Tsunade."
"Sakura. Escort Naruto to the hospital. I'll stay around and look." Sakura nodded and rushed to Naruto helping him stand.
"I couldn't get her." Naruto said.
"Naruto. There was nothing you could do." Sakura said. He sniffed and wiped his face with his sleeves.
When they had reached the house Sakura looked at Naruto. "You should get your stuff. This place will be shut down for inspection tomorrow." She waited for Naruto's reply but it never came. He walked up the stairs. "Ill go inform the others." Sakura gave wan last look at Naruto before proceeding to the spare room with a broken door.
"Is this everyone?" Sakura asked.
"Yeah its everyone in class 1A and 1B." Vlad said.
"Everyone but (y/n) and Bakugou." Kirishima said bitterly.
"Kiri." Mina silently scolded.
Sakura sighed remembering her friend. "I know its been a rough night but the Hokage wants you all to pack and head out to the hospital where we can treat your wounds. As for tomorrow, this place will be on lockdown for further inspections and you will be questioned by the Hokage." She clapped her hands "Now let's get packing."
Quietly, the students went out heading to their rooms.
"Sakura. Is it true?" Kazunari asked a worried frown formed on his lips. Sakura looked at him apologetically. "Yeah. She left with the so called Villains and the Akatsuki." Kazunari's looked to the ground conflicted. He grinded his teeth out of anger.
"Kazunari what is it?"
He looked at Sakura frowning. "What i did, was it the right thing to do?"
Sakura looked at him confused.
"What?"
"What if i did let them go? Maybe they had a fighting chance. Maybe we'd have them here. (y/n) would be here."
"What? No. Kazunari, if you let them go, more of them could have gotten hurt. We're lucky no one died today considering the Akatsuki was around. The only major injury we've had is that student with green hair who has a lot of broken bones." She placed her hand on his shoulder. "Don't beat yourself up okay? You protected them and thats what matters. (Y/n) made her decision to leave with them to protect her friends. Im sure she's counting on us to rescue her."
He sighed. "You're right."
"The only thing we can do now is pray she can be strong while we find them as soon as possible." Kazunari looked up at Sakura smiling.
"I feel much better. Thanks." Sakura gave a small smile.
"No problem."
The students and teachers gathered outside waiting patiently for the last bunch of students to join them. Out the door came Omi, Juza and Banri carrying bags of three students while escorting them to the group. They placed the bags on the ground and looked at Sakura who was with team 10.
"Wheres Naruto?" Sakura asked Shikamaru.
"Kakashi's got him."
"Oh i see." Her voice somewhat disappointed.
"That's the last of the herd." Banri said.
Sakura nodded and faced the students. "Its gonna be a bit of a long walk but please bare with us." Sakura said starting to walk leading the group. Team 10 looked ahead,frowning, but their eyes were clearly distracted. Shikamaru's eyebrows had been knitted together, Ino tried to look strong on the outside but she's not fooling anyone. Choji, his worried face was more visible and readable than the rest. None of them spoke about what happened. Not even Neito who loved to ask questions. No one made a comment, not a peep.
As they passed the streets of Konoha the towns people went outside their houses to inspect the fire, some were out on the streets while the others looked out the window. They seemed to be talking but the moment they eyes laid on the ninjas and the foreigners, they'd quickly hushed the others to stop. Pitiful eyes and hushed murmurs were laid onto the students.
"Oh poor kids. Look how beat up they are."
"Those are the kids that stayed in the Ninja's training grounds right?"
"Yeah i remember them."
"Aren't those the kids that came here with that monster?"
"Yeah she came to Konoha with them."
"You don't think she did this to them right?"
"Oh please. It has her written all over it."
"You heard the roar."
'The roar?' Shoji, Todoroki and Midoriya looked at Tokoyami who had a surprised expression on his face.
"I bet she is to be blamed for this."
"I dont even see her with them."
"See? Shes guilty."
The students continued walking, listening to their murmurs. It wasn't true. Everyone there knew it wasn't true. What did they know? All they did was pick on her without knowing.
"I told you. All she brings is bad luck and chaos."
That was it. That was the last straw. Their blood boiled hearing the people's accusations towards their friend. They didn't know anything.
"That's not true!" Midoriya defended. "None of it is!"
"What gives? Making rude comments? You dont even know her!" Kirishima said.
"Enough." One of the ninjas accompanying them said.
"Are you just going to let them talk her down like that?!" Kirishima asked.
"You guys are her comrades." Kaminari said.
"Why dont you protect her?!" Midoriya asked.
"You think we don't?" Shikamaru asked calmly. "What's the point of telling them what she is and what she's not."
"Look even if we do tell them, theres nothing we can do that can change their mind." Ino said.
"Something like that isn't going to change just by words." Choji said.
"They'd have to see what we see first for them to change their mind." Sakura said.
"How can you be so sure?" Iida asked.
"Because we used to hate them too. Naruto and (y/n). We wanted nothing more than them gone, to disappear from Konoha just like the people said." Sakura looked at them. The students went quiet. Them. Their friends that they hung out with, played with, had fun with. They all hated (y/n) and Naruto back then. They didn't know about that, the new information got them to rethink the twins past. Literally no one wanted those two but for them to find good friends like these.
"But its also because of them that we grew out of that hatred and had come to acknowledge who they are. We've seen them battle the impossible, stood up against the all odds and gave hope when there was none. Theres nothing we wouldn't do for them." Sakura along with the others looked at them "So don't question the connection we have with (y/n) or Naruto. Because i can assure you that the comrades they've made feel the same way." They stared at the students but it wasn't angered or spite, pride or boastful, it was more of manning their ground and just looking at them. The air was tense and cold and quiet. Sakura broke it off and they started walking again.
"Like they've said before there are somethings you cant just change with words." Shikamaru said nodding his head to Sakura. "Come on. Continue walking we shouldn't be far."
Once they've reached the hospital they were sent to a rather spacious room that would be used by multiple patients. Midoriya, Mandalay and Pixie-bob on the other hand were wheeled off for an emergency examination. "Since the call was so sudden we weren't able to put you into normal rooms for your privacy but we still had these. The rooms you'll be staying in tonight was used when we had a lot of patients." A nurse said turning on the AC.
"And when was that?" Sero asked since the AC was next to his bed.
"15 years ago. When the Nine tailed foxes appeared. There were too many people injured that night that our rooms couldn't hold all of the patients. So the lord Hokage the third had this wing made as an extension."
Mineta's skin crawled "we're sleeping where the people of the past who were injured might have died."
"What?" The nurse giggled. "No no no. The beds are all new, so are the mattresses, bedsheets, blankets, pillows and pillow cases. We've dusted the place also swept and bleached the floor." She smiled proudly. Mineta's mouth hung low and practically drooled at the woman. Sero saw this and wasted no time wrapping him with his tape. The nurse sweatdropped and turned to the girls. "If you all would follow me." She motioned out the door. The girls would be staying in the room right across the guys. The nurse turned on the AC.
"Mandalay and Pixie-bob will be staying with you guys. While I'll have Koda, Tiger, Shota and Vlad with the boys. You girls wash up and change. We'll be coming in to check on your injuries in a while." The nurse said pointing at the bathroom in the corner of the room.
The girls nodded and thanked the nurse as she went out. Is if on cue both Mandalay and Pixie-bob were wheeled in the room on a bed. Mandalay was still awake.
"Mandalay! Pixie-bob!" The girls exclaimed upon seeing them.
"You girls aren't badly hurt aren't you?" Mandalay asked. The nurse that wheeled them in placed their beds with their head by the wall.
"Not much. Just a few scrapes and bruises." Uraraka said.
"Im glad " Mandalay said sighing in relief.
"What about you Mandalay?" Asui asked concerned.
"Oh ill be fine." She smiled. The nurse took one last look at both of the hero's vitals before leaving them with a smile. Some of the girls held Mandalay as she sat up, groaning holding her head. Momo looked at Pixie-bob was unconscious and had more bandages than Mandalay had.
"Will she be okay?" Momo asked.
"Oh she's strong. Im sure she'll pull through." Mandalay's eyes saddened looking at the sheets on her lap. "Is it true? Your classmate 'kacchan' was taken?"
"Yeah." Uraraka said saddening.
"It wasn't just Bakugou. (Y/n) was taken too." Asui said.
"More like she surrendered and went with them." Jirou said.
"What?" Mandalay gasped.
"Based with what Deku and the others said they held a young boy captive." Momo said.
"She was literally cornered! She had no fighting chance." Mina complained crossing her hands. Everyone was quiet just for a second.
"I bet! If she wasn't cornered by some lame hostage trick she would have beaten those guys to a pulp!"
"Lets not get too hasty. Its the League of Villains we're talking about. We dont know anything about the Akatsuki but from what we've heard. They're not in good terms with Konoha or the other villages here." Mandalay said.
"You guys imma talk and wash up." Uraraka said as she left the group smiling worriedly.
"Poor Uraraka she's probably worried about (y/n). Ribbit."
"So the Akatsuki is like their Villains here." Jirou said
"That's the closest, yeah." Mina said.
"Girls?" Mandalay looked at them.
"What is it Mandalay?"
"Tell me what you know about the Akatsuki."
Meanwhile the boys sat on their beds in silence until a nurse came in with Midoriya on a bed.
"Midoriya!" Iida said catching the others attention. His eyes opened and scanned the room
"H-hey guys." Midoriya said in a painful smile. Both his arms were placed in casts. His face was covered in bandages too.
"You look horrible man." Kaminari said. Kirishima shot a look at him to be quiet.
"Yeah. Im not in the best shape." The nurse checked everything before turning to Midoriya.
"Please. Get some rest I'll check on your vitals two hours from now. Okay?"
Midoriya nodded "Okay." The nurse turned to his classmates. "Dont keep him up too late. His body needs to rest too." And with that the nurse left.
"What happened back there Midoriya?" Kirishima finally asked. The question had been burning in his mind ever since they received the news that Katsuki and (y/n) were taken. The villains got what they wanted. Iida scolded the redhead saying he shouldn't stress him out. Midoriya recalling what had just happened not too long ago. His lips quivered and his eyes watered.
"Im sorry." He sniffed they looked at him "I wasn't able to bring them back. Im sorry." He said again looking away and to the wall.
"Hey. I didn't mean for it to sound like i was blaming you. You did what you could. I just." Kirishima sighed. "I just want to know what happened." It went silent. Aside from the AC and Midoriya's hushed sobbing. Tokoyami looked away from the scene. Todoroki closed his eyes and balled his fist as he tried to calm himself. Shoji turned his gaze away.
"We ran to get Bakugou." Midoriya spoke quietly. "But (Y/n) stopped me. At first, i didn't know why but when i saw two other figures come out of that portal i knew we couldn't just dive in. What's worse was that they held Isamu as hostage." The pain in Midoriya's voice echoed through the room as he choked at his last words. "They threatened to kill him. She had no choice but to go with them. What's worse is i couldn't save Kacchan, i couldn't even save (y/n)." He took a moment to breath sobbing more. "The Akatsuki has her. They could be torturing her right now or worse! I was there but i couldn't stop her!" Midoriya was right. It was bad news that the Akatsuki has her. Who knows what they could be doing to her but blaming himself for what happened. He shouldn't put all the blame on himself.
"You shouldn't bare that burden by yourself. We're at fault too." Todoroki said.
"We failed to notice they we're missing." Shoji said.
"I should have been faster. Then I might have reached Bakugou in time." Todoroki said. After that Midoriya didn't speak again and so did the others. They hung their head down and walked back to their beds and sighed.
"It was a bummer wasn't it?" Most of the boys snapped their head to the window which was now open and on the window frame sat Kakashi.
"You're Kakashi right? (Y/n)'s teacher." Iida said.
"I guess? More or less i did teach her a trick or two." Kakashi went in landing on his feet. "Anywho. I just came here to tell you boys did an excellent job handling things on your own." He said walking to by the edge of Midoriya's bed, the statement was more directed to Todoroki, Shoji and Midoriya. "As for the rest of you, i hope you feel no ill will that we had to hold you back. I hope you understand its for your own good." The others nodded while Kirishima was slightly more skeptical.
"You're supposed to be her teacher. Aren't you supposed to be worried sick?"
"I am worried." Kakashi placed his hands in his pockets. "But sitting here and worrying about her, what is that going to do? That can't help her. The best thing we can do right is find out where she is and bring her back as soon as we can. Because sulking and blaming wont help." He looked at them. "Am i wrong?"
Kakashi glanced at Midoriya and then headed for the door. "Sleep tight. We'll be back for you guys in the morning." Then Kakashi left leaving the students dumbfounded at his speech and his sudden appearance in their room.
-----YOUR POV-----
When i was pulled into the portal thing i shut my eyes then i felt something tightening around my wrists and my ankles. I opened my eyes and looked at my wrist. It was restrained by black steel threads? And it was pulled by the wall i tried pulling my arm towards me but it wouldn't budge. I looked at my other wrist and it was exactly the same. I couldn't move my feet, i gasped and looked down. Both my ankles were tied down together.
"I wouldn't struggle if i were you." I followed the voice. A man who wore a mask across his face said. I didn't know who he was but from his cloak i can tell his from the Akatsuki. He clicked his tongue. "To think i had to sacrifice some of my threads for you." He raised his hand at my restraints. Long black steel threads just like the ones wrapped around my wrists and ankles came out of his sleeve then on to my wrists. It tightened its grip on my wrist. I winced in pain. I watched him and as he cut the threads with his other hand.
"Where's Isamu?"
He looked at me. "The kid." He ordered. Walking back to his white haired partner and the rest of the Villains. "Dont try anything stupid if you want her alive." He pulled Isamu and harshly shoved him to me. "(Y/n)!" Isamu ran to me and hugged me. "Hey!" The white haired male yelled and yanked Isamu harshly by the scarf then threw him on the wall.
"He said no funny business you brat!"
"No! Don't! Don't hurt him please!" I said. All eyes were on me. "Please." I begged.
The masked Akatsuki walked towards me and pulled something out of his sleeves.
"Just so were clear." He placed something on my thigh. I looked down to see a peper bomb. He placed two more on my lower leg and on my other thigh. There was no use to talking with these guys.
He stood up and looked at Isamu.
"Its a known fact that we need her alive but if you try anything we will blow off a limb or two. She'll be bleeding out, yes but alive nonetheless." He warned.
Isamu cried "Dont! (Y/n)!" The masked man looked at me, his red and green eyes looked at mine glaring. He added more paperbombs on both my arms, on my hands and elbows. He stepped away and scoffed in an amusing tone.
"Let him go Hidan."
"Kakuzu." The silver haired male wanted to protest but Kakuzu glared at him forcing him to let go of Isamu. Isamu ran back to me but stopped himself from hugging me. I looked at him sadly and smiled. "Don't. Just stay behind me okay?" He nodded and hid behind me. The two Akatsuki memebers and i shared a glare before they both walked away.
"I cant believe we actually worked with these stupid freaks." Hidan said.
"A good investment. They managed to catch her alive and quick too." Kakauzu talk to the warp guy, Kurogiri i think. I watched as Kakuzu gave money to him. I looked around and saw Bakugou restrained on a chair with his hands in a metal box thing. He was by a door at the end of the bar counter and i was right across it. He looked at me with his usual angry eyes. I couldn't think of a way for us to get out. I couldn't even find a way to get him back. Instead i threw myself at the enemy. I looked away and down at the ground. From the corner of my eye i can see Isamu sitting on the floor, his knees tucked into his chest. He looked terrified. I was the one who was supposed to look after him and yet here he is.
"Now then." A hand yanked my face. I was now looking at Hidan. "Let's play with the Jinchuriki ey?" He smiled mischievously.
"Don't even think about it. Everytime you decide to play with the target you always end up killed them." My throat became dry and my heart quickened. Some part of me knew he wasn't bluffing.
"Oh come on Kakuzu! You give me less credit than take me for. Think of them as sacrifices to Lord Jashin." He let go of me and faced his friend.
"Oh please you God is nothing but a complete waste of time."
"Like your money is going to get you somewhere you fucking anarchist."
"It does. Now if you dont want your head ripped off i suggest you close your mouth."
Hidan crossed his arms and walked away to a different door beside mine.
"Tch. You're no fun at all old man." He slammed the door behind him.
(Just imagine there's two doors in the scene. I know in that scene theres only one which was right by Bakugou so just play along pls)
"What's you're plan now?" Shigaraki asked.
"Since we're still waiting for that master of yours to arrive." He stopped and walked towards me. "We'll deal with her first." He raised his hand and punched me on my left cheek. It was fast and hard. I didn't even feel the pain only a second after his had placed his punch. My lip stung then the tase of iron dwelled on my taste buds. I spat it out as saw red staining the hard concrete floor.
"Fighting against a tied up Jinchuriki. Now thats low for the Akatsuki." I said. He punched me on my stomach and left his hand there. I couldn't breath. It was as if my lungs forgot how to breathe.
"All Jinchurikis have a breaking point. Im merely cutting straight to the chase. The sooner we can drain your energy the faster this process will be." He pulled out his hand and gave me another punch on the jaw. His force was hard. Im sure if he added more force my jaw would have been dislocated. I coughed a couple of times before i got to breathe again. I raised my head and glared at the male infront of me. No. He only wants me to get angry and lash out. I gritted my teeth. Not now. I cant fight them on my own. Shadow clones wouldn't be enough against them. I'll have to wait. I'll wait. Naruto. Shikamaru. Ino. Choji. Asuma-sensei. Kakashi-sensei. Anyone. I put my faith in you. I closed my eyes, relaxed my muscles and lowered my head. I prayed. A silent prayer in hopes it would reach them.
