Time Lapse>>>>>>>>>>
Two hours later.
I stroked Kat's hair as she slept on the couch. I don't know how to help her. At least she's sleeping now. I head to the hallway and call Mikey.
Mikey: "Hey, bruv. What's up?"
Me: "It's Kat."
Mikey: "What's wrong with Kat?"
Me: "She went for a interview at the hospital. The fucking head of medicine..."
Mikey: "What happened, Gerard?"
Me: "The bastard....He fucking raped her."
Mikey: "Fucking hell. The bastard. Do you need us to come round?"
Me: "Us who?"
Mikey: "Me, Alicia, Ray and Christa, Frank and Jamia and Bob and Caitlyn."
Me: "She's asleep right now. But I think you lot being here will help. So yes, please."
Mikey: "We'll all be there in half an hour. Stay strong, bruv."
Me: "Thanks, Mikey."
Mikey: "No worries. See you in a bit."
We hung up. I stood in the lounge doorway and looked at Kat. How could anyone hurt such a sweet girl? If I could get my hand's on that fucking arsehole, I'd kill him. Tears clouded my vision. We'd called the police. Of course she had to be examined. They'd arrested him. He said she led him on. Typical rapist defence. I watched as Kat moved in her sleep. Then she cried out. I rushed towards her. I tried not to touch her. I don't want to scare her. She sat up fast and grabbed me.
"Gerard." She said as she cried into my neck. I rubbed her back and hugged her
"It's okay, baby." I told her. "I won't let anyone hurt you ever again."
Eventually she calmed down. She was hugging into my side. My right arm around her shoulders. Her legs bent and resting on my legs. She kept the blanket around her as she rested her head on my shoulder. "I'm sorry, Gerard." She whispered.
I looked down at her in shock. "What for?"
She looked back at me. "Crying."
I stroked her cheek. "No, sweetheart. You don't need to be sorry." I kiss her forehead gently. "I'm here for you, always."
The front door opened and Kat grabbed my arm.
"It's okay, baby." I soothed. "Mikey wanted to come see you with the guys and wives."
She looked over at the door to see Mikey in the doorway. He smiled at her and she put her arms out for him. Of course. Everyone hugs Mikey. They think he's cute.
