Normal POV:
Exactly a week went by. How I knew that was because I would be told everyday what day it was. I was so cold and weak, I even lost my voice from screaming in pain within the first three days. I didn't have my quirks to heal myself, so I took it that what they were injecting into me every once in a while when I was awake was a quirk tranquilizer. It was horrible, they would torture me countless times a day. What seemed like every hour, they would spray me with water which would then freeze on me. I was covered in a layer of ice which would then crack off as I struggled to break free, which I tried as much as I could though I was so weak. I was sure that a huge window was open cause I constantly felt the freezing cold wind blowing on me. It was even too cold for me to handle, but then again I was only in shorts and a tank top.
Everything hurt; I was probably covered in bruises and cuts, I couldn't feel most of my body though when they were to torture me, it would hurt like hell. One day they thought it would be fun to use a power drill and put screws into my shoulder blades and take them out. Another day they stuck needles all the way through my right cheek, which they do that very often and sometimes multiple times a day. I lost count at the amount of times that they did waterboarding on me; same thing with using brass knuckles. On both of my arms, they sliced open almost all of my self harm scars by dragging a knife over all of them, literally taking off the skin that made up the bump of the scars. They said that they were going to do the same thing with my stomach and thighs, but they wanted to do those a week apart for their enjoyment.
Another thing that they've done many times is tying a rope around my neck and using a pulley system to pull up both the chair and I since I was still stuck to it. I'm sure that I have major bruising around my neck along with my wrist, ankles, and waist from the restraints. A couple times the grey haired man and the muscular one would play darts by throwing them at my stomach. I hadn't eaten ever since I was at school, so I was already starting to lose weight even though I was starting to look a bit healthier.
One day, they covered my feet in some sort of food and I had to watch as mice and other rodents would come towards me so they would bite my feet. Sometimes they cover my head with a bag so my senses are heightened, then they torture me while other times they dump water over the bag while I'm being injured elsewhere. I thought that the last time that I was kidnapped when I was little was horrible. That compared to this is nothing. I was able to heal myself that time, this time I can't. I'm somehow surviving. Honestly, if I were to die, I wouldn't be scared...I would feel relieved to be able to leave this literal living hell.
Once the week went by, that Saturday, a young lady who checks in on me everyday walked in with my phone. She's never hurt me or yelled at me, but I don't want to find out what she can do. Over the week I learned that I shouldn't talk without permission or look at anyone directly who walks into the room. The young lady always talked in a sweet tone. I tried to convince her to let me free cause she was so nice, but her niceness is like a switch. As soon as I asked that of her, she called in the huge man and he knocked me out in no time.
Anyways, she walked up to me and said in her sweet tone, "Hey there," I kept my head down as she went on, "I was ordered to take a video of you showing that you're still alive. We're going to send it to the four people that we sent the call and text to. So, tell them how you're doing or what's on your mind, alright?" she finished with a smile. I just nodded my head, which she then turned around and got my phone ready to take a video. Once she was ready, she asked, "Are you ready?" I nodded my head, which she then said, "Alright, take it away."
I tried to smile before I brought my head up; it was hard to maintain the smile, but I tried my best to keep it up. I lifted my head with the smile and began, "Hey there," I said in a quiet whisper since I lost my voice to that extreme, "don't worry about me, I'm doing fine. I'm sorry that this happened. It's all my fault that I'm here; I'm so weak and such a horrible hero. I'm going to get out of this on my own though. I'm the one to get myself in this situation, I can get myself out of it." I paused as I looked down at my hands before I looked back up with the smile that was masking my misery, "Please, don't come looking for me..." I all of a sudden wasn't able to carry on with the smile as I went on, "...I don't want anyone to get hurt because of my ignorance anymore."
She then obviously turned off the camera cause she brought my phone down and put it in her pocket. Before she walked off she said with a smile, "Perfect, I'll see you tomorrow when I come to check up on you." I nodded my head as I looked back down.
Once she left, I heard someone enter, so I knew that it was either the grey haired man or the muscular one. When the person was close enough, I knew that it was the muscular one. I clenched my eyes shut and waited for the sweet darkness to rescue me from my suffering.
Yamada's POV:
A week passed and we hadn't heard anything from Y/N's kidnappers yet, other than receiving a text a day after we brought it all to the agency's attention. When we informed them about the text that was exactly the same as the phone call that we had received, we were also told that earlier on in the day that they found the location of where her phone last had a signal. Sho and I went right away to the location that the chief said it was from. It was a dumpy area and we knew that it's also dimly lit during the night since we have had to work in that area every once in a while. From the exact position that we were told, it was right in front of an alleyway. We went down it but it only went a very short distance. It went straight back before it went to the left and stopped almost as soon as you turned in the direction.
We looked behind and under everything that was in the alleyway and some of the other alleyways that was near the first one we looked down. I could tell that when we first started looking, Sho had a little hope that we would find her, but we both knew that it wouldn't be that easy. When we finished, we were both in low spirits, though I was sure that Sho was in much lower spirits than I. When we got back to the car, we both sat there in silence as we tried to put our hero skills to work by thinking of buildings that would seem like a good place to hid a person. I mean, for the area that we were searching in, all of the buildings fit the description. After a while we went back to the apartment and tried to relax a little while we tried to warm up since it was still horribly cold out.
A week after the Saturday that we found out that she was missing, Sho and I were on the couch watching something on TV. Well, it was more like I was watching it since Sho was asleep. Just as the TV series was getting good, my phone buzzed. I slowly leaned forward slightly to grab my phone off of the coffee table. I tried to be careful to not wake Sho since I was lying on my back and he was sleeping soundly on top of me, while Melody was on the back of the couch. Over that past week, Melody was sort of weird. She was constantly around us and never wanted to be alone. During the times that Y/N would usually get off of hero duty, Melody would sit by the door as if she was waiting for her to come back any minute. When it got to be a little late, Melody would roam around the apartment as she meowed. She'd start in Y/N's room then make her way in and out of every room and space she could get into. It broke our hearts to see that even Melody was looking for her.
Anyways, when I brought my phone up to see who the message was from, my heart skipped a beat once I saw that it was from Y/N's phone. I gently shook Sho awake and once he was, I said in a concerned tone, "I got something from Y/N's phone." He quickly stood up so I could sit up, and when I was sitting up, he sat down next to me while I put in my phone password and got to the new message. "Oh god, it's a video." I mumbled, "I don't think I'm ready."
"Neither am I, but we have to endure it since Y/N's probably going through much worse." Sho said as he leaned in to see the phone screen better. From the paused image of the video, we could see that she was wearing only a tank top and shorts. She was paler than usual; she almost looked like the fresh white snow. She had so many heavy bruises that you couldn't count them all. There was a horrible bruise around her neck that it looked like it was from a rope. She was pretty much covered in dried blood. Her arms were pretty much skinned so that her fully healed self inflicted wounds were cut off and looked like it wasn't done that long ago. Her feet looked like they were mauled by something. Her hair had frost, ice, and snow accumulated in it, which it also looked like she had ice on her clothes. Her nose, cheeks, lips, fingers, and toes, from what we could see that wasn't covered by blood, were starting to become frostbit. I then turned up the volume before I hesitantly, slowly pressed play.
After a few seconds of Y/N just sitting there, she brought up her head as she wore a weak smile. As soon as I saw that, I wanted to stop the video. She then spoke, but it was in such a quiet whisper that I had to turn the volume up, so it made me think that she lost her voice, "Hey there," she was shaking horribly, so she obviously was freezing, "don't worry about me, I'm doing fine. I'm sorry that this happened." At this point Sho put his left hand up to the side of his face as if he was trying to hide from me. "It's all my fault that I'm here; I'm so weak and such a horrible hero. I'm going to get out of this on my own though. I'm the one to get myself in this situation, I can get myself out of it." She then paused and looked down before she looked back up, "Please, don't come looking for me-" her smile then dropped slowly as she paused, "-I don't want anyone to get hurt because of my ignorance anymore." As soon as she finished talking, the video stopped.
I shut my phone off and leaned forward to put it back on the coffee table. We sat there in complete silence, but it was then disrupted by a couple sniffles from Sho. I put my arms around him, which he then leaned on me as he kept on looking away. Though we've been together for so many years, he still tries to hide from me when he's hurt. I don't blame him though for feeling that way; I too began to cry a little. We've gotten to know Y/N so well that it's like we've known her all her life...or more rather than it was like she was a part of our family; I mean, she sort of is. Once we calmed down, I said quietly, "We have to go to the agency." He just nodded his head. We didn't get ready in our hero costumes, we just went how we were pretty much; except for me, I changed out of my sweatpants and into jeans.
