We called almost all the numbers next to us.

I called Kagami and she wasn't there either.
"Marinette called," Sabine said
Someone called Sabine with Marinette's number.

Marinette POV
My whole body ached. I could hardly breathe.
I couldn't even move my legs and feet.

It was Kagami's voice talking to Adrien.

I wanted to scream again, but the boy put more pressure on my throat with a knife.
"You see. No one is here. I really don't know where Marinette is," Kagami said.
"Wait, let me see. Can you sit down?" Adrien said
"How?" Kagami said
"I want to have your pulse," Adrien said
"Yeah," Kagami said
"Are you sure you don't know where Marinette is?" Adrien said
"Well," said Kagami
"You mean Marinette isn't here?" Adrien said
"No, no, I don't know," Kagami said
"You're lying." Adrien said
"No, I'm not lying," Kagami said.
"So why does your pulse rise after saying no?" Adrien said
"Um... because this situation you made, who can't?" Kagami said
"Tell me the truth, Kagami," Adrien said
"The truth is, I haven't seen Marinette in eight years," Kagami said
"Kagami, please. I'll leave as much money as you want," Adrien said and cried.
I couldn't stand it. I cried and cried silently.
I couldn't stand Adrien's crying. I wanted to say that I am here and it doesn't matter at all. I am not worthy for you to cry.
"Adrien!" Kagami said, and Adrien sat down and said, "Please. Don't have anything to do with Marinette. I'll give you as much money as you want."
"Who asked for money?" Kagami said.
"So you know where Marinette is? Tell me how much money you want." Adrien said
"I mean, I don't know where Marinette is, and what good is money to me?" Kagami said
"Please tell me where Marinette is," Adrien said
"How much money do you want?" Adrien said
"I don't want money," Kagami said
"So what do you want?" Adrien said
"Nothing. I'm saying it's not ridiculous that I'm kidnapping for money. Our family has money. Why should I risk myself to kidnapping and get paid?" Kagami said.
Adrien POV
"I didn't think about it at all. You're right. I'm going to report this to the police," I said
I left the house.
I went to Master Fu's house to get the ring.
Marinette POV
Bring me out. I saw Kagami.
"Stupids. Why did you call her family? I said I'll give you as much money as you want." Kagami said
"Let us torment her more for death," Kagami said.
