Chapter 4

Haru woke up in her room the next morning. Her eyes winced at the light of the sun showing in her bed room. Her door opened and her mother entered the room. Her mother looked at her and smiled.

“Good morning” she greeted. “Say Haru, Who was that handsome young man that brought you here last night” she asked.

“Huh? What does he look like?” she asked. She rubbed her eyes and yawned.

“He had silver hair, green eyes and a cool demeanor.” Her mother replied.

Haru then realized who she was referring. She then also remembered what had happened yesterday. She was carried by Gokudera.

Gokudera.

The last person she thought that would help her. She blushed as she thought of the moment.  He carried her in her arms, she held on tightly to him. The way he talked to her. Everything she thought made her blush deep red. Her mother caught her expression. She smiled slyly and teased.

“Was it your boyfriend?” she asked teasingly.

“wah-wah? N-no! Of course not! He’s just a friend that’s all” she replied but still blushed deep red. ‘Why did he save me?’ she thought.

“Well, you better get ready or else you’ll be late for school” her mother said then left.

She then got up and readied herself for school.

Haru arrived at the classroom and saw that Gokudera was talking to Tsuna and smiling happily. She then blushed at the thought of he was the first one her eyes caught. She quickly went to her seat. Kyoko approached her and greeted her with a smile. “Good morning Haru-chan” Kyoko greeted.

“Good morning” Haru greeted back.

“So how was your goukon?” she asked.

Haru then remembered the incident with the guy named Takano. Her spirit dropped. “ Uhh… It was fine” she lied. She didn’t want Kyoko to worry about her.

“Did you find someone to like?” she asked once again.

“Unfortunately not, couldn’t find anyone cool or good-looking. Maybe my standards are too high” she inquired with a smile.

Kyoko smiled at her statement. “I see”

The teacher then came in and Kyoko went to her seat. Gokudera also sat on his seat. He yawned then went into sleeping position.

Haru was scribbling something on her paper. When she was done, she passed it on to Gokudera. Gokuder fluttered his eyes open and noticed the paper. He opened it and saw it was from Haru. He at glanced her. She was looking at the teacher and consentrating on the lesson. He read it.

Thank you, Gokudera-san

                                -Haru

Gokudera then scribbled something on the paper. He flicked his finger and it landed on Haru’s desk. Haru was surprised by the flying paper. She glanced at Gokudera and he was back to his sleeping position. She opened it.

You have a knack of doing reckless things, do you? Stupid woman.

                                -Gokudera

She then got pissed at his reply. She was about to crumple it when she noticed a post script.

P.S. You don’t have to  force yourself you like someone else. These things take time. And it wasn’t really a problem.

She smiled. ‘Tsundere?’ she thought and laughed. The teached called her attention. “What’s so funny Miura-san?” he asked sternly. Haru jumped. “Ah! Sorry, I was just thinking how an octopus could write something contradicting to his feelings” she smiled awkwardly at the teacher. The class looked at her questioningly.

“Octopus?” they murmured. “What does she mean about octopus?”

The teacher grew angry. “Silence!” he snapped. “Miura, answer the fifth question!”

“Eeeehh??” she complained.

“six hundred eighty” Gokudera mumbled.

Haru looked at Gokudera. She was surprised he even knew the answer without looking at it. Or maybe he did but was quick at solving it. She then answered the teacher. “six hundred eighty”

“Correct” her teacher said. “Next time though, I won’t tolerate laughing in my class”

“Yes, sir” she said then sat down.

She looked at Gokudera who was looking at her back with an annoyed expression. “You calling me an octopus you stupid woman” he said in a vexed tone of voice.

“Why do you keep calling me stupid woman, ahodera” she snapped.

“You even admitted it yesterday” he grinned.

Haru then remembered it again. Gokudera holding her in his arms. She then blushed at the thought. Gokuder looked at her indifferently. “You ok? Do you have a fever?” he asked. She looked away. “No it’s nothing” she said. “Ummm…. Hey… Gokudera-san, can you go with me after school?” she asked.

“Uhhhh…… alright…” he answered. She then turned to him smiled gratefully. He was taken aback by her smile. He started to turn deep red. He covered his mouth and turned away. ‘Crap, what just happened?’ he thought. ‘Why is it beating fast?’

Gokudera and Haru were now walking in town. It was sort of awkward walking together. Usually they would fight but now they were very eerily silent. She glanced at him and immediately turned away. He did the same.

‘This is really awkward’ they thought in unison.

Gokudera broke the silence. “Where are we going anyways?” he asked.

“Uh… oh… we’re going to the salon” Haru answered.

“Salon? Why are you taking me to the salon?” he asked grimly.

“Because Kyoko-chan and Chrome-chan are both busy and since you’re not I might as well take you right?” she said.

Gokudera sighed. “Fine, where is this salon anyways?” they stopped to a glass door. Haru pushed it open and they could smell the scent of shampoos and other hair products. They went inside and Gokudera was wide-eyed to see a familiar face in the shop.

“Eh! It’s Lussuria from varia?!?!”  he exclaimed.

“hi hi” he greeted. Gokudera’s draw almost dropped to the ground. Then he heard another annoying laughter in the room.

“Ushishishishi” he turned to see his enemy from the Vongola ring match Belphegor. He was using a knife to cut the customer’s hair. (A/N: Kids do not try this at home. Use scissors)

“Why is it isn’t the hurrican bomb” he said. He held his knife up as it gleamed in the light. “You want a haircut?”

“Why would I want a hair cut from you?!” he exclaimed. “Why are you even here? Don’t you have people to assasinate?”

“My,my, Sawada’s storm guardian, we’re on vacation.

“this is what you call vacation?” he sweatdropped. Haru approached Lussuria. “Luss-chan, please give me a haircut”

“Luss-chan?!?!?” Gokudera repeated in shock. ‘Is this girl mad? She’s getting her hair cut by a trained assasin’ he thought.  Gokudera turned to Bel and saw what hairstyle he had given to his customer. He gave his customer the same hairstyle as him which made him sweatdrop even more. “What the?” he remarked. The customer looked pleased and payed Bel then left. He looked outside and saw at the other side was an electronic store. Once more, his jaw dropped to see Levi fixing televisions. ‘This must be some kind of nightmare. I’m having. I have to cut down on the midnight snacks’ he thought. Beside the electronic store was a fish shop. He also saw Squalo chopping fish while Mammon was receiving the cash. He wanted to bang his head on the wall. ‘Ok, What do these people think of vacation?  Vacation from killing people?’ he thought.

“Alright, done” Lussuria turned the chair and Gokudera was captivated by the sight of Haru. Her hair was already short. Her hair was until below the neck. He covered his mouth once more to prevent people from seeing him blush. “Ushishishishi” Bel laughed. “Hurricane-kun here is blushing”

“No, I’m not you knife bastard!” he denied.

Haru approached Gokudera. “What do you think?” she asked. He looked away. “It…… it’s different” he replied.

“Are, Tsundere?” Lussuria teased.

“Shut up!” Gokudera snapped.

Haru payed Lussuria. “Thanks Luss-chan” she smiled. “You’re welcome Haru-chan” Lussuria said as he received the cash from her. “Yeah yeah, come on” Gokudera grabbed Haru’s hand and dragged her out of the salon.

Lussuria sighed. “Youth” he said as he watched Gokudera and Haru leave.

“He’s not really honest is he?” Bel added while cutting of the hair of his customer.

Haru and Gokudera were walking in town in silence. She looked at the hand Gokudera was holding with hers. He didn’t look at her. Haru smiled warmly and held his back. Gokudera couldn’t look at her. He was scared that if he did, he might heat up even more. ‘Damn it, this stupid woman, she’s trying to drive me crazy..’ he thought.
