Chris's leg bounced up and down as we drove to my dads house. He has been on edge since I told him that my dad would like to see his future son in-law.
I shook my head a laughed "would you stop being all anxious"
He stopped shaking his leg and looked at me "sorry"
"It's okay"I said "don't act like this isn't your first time meeting parents"
"It isn't" he said "Im excited to meet yo dad" he smiled
"Me too" I said
"Your dad is a pastor right" he asked
"Yes"
"I haven't been to church in 10 years I don't go like I used to. I don't trust god like I use to. I don't think god is even real to be honest" He explained
"Well that's you. But I've always hated going to church because it would take almost 4 hours to end and I would sleep during the choir" I said and he laughed
We finally reached to my dads house and Chris froze.
"Does he have anger issues?"he asked "he's gonna interrogate me I know it"
I laughed
"It's gonna be law and order in here" he said
"Chris chill."
"Matter of fact where is our son?"he asked and squinted his eyes
"You know where ash is. Don't even change the subject"I said and laughed
I dropped Ashton off to Jackson's house. We are all having a family dinner tonight.
Me,Chris,Jackson and Ashton. Just the four of us.
"Can we go inside please...I smell the food cooking" I whined
"Yeah,why are you all whiny today?"he asked
"Cause I'm hungry!"I said and got out the car
I walked up the driveway and looked behind me. Chris caught up to me.
We reached the door and I knocked while Chris put his hand on my waist as he stood behind me.
The door opened and I saw daddy with a apron on that said 'best griller'
He had a spatula in his hand.
"Babygirl" he says then laughed I hugged him.
"Hi daddy"I said and smiled
"You ready for the dinner"he said chuckling
He looked up at Chris. "Mhm"
I moved aside
"Hello,I'm Chris brown it's a pleasure to meet you"he said holding out his hand
My dad looked at his hand and then looked back at Chris. Chris awkwardly put his hand down.
"Come inside baby"dad said
Me and Chris stepped inside.
We were behind him when Chris rapped my arm and leaned aside of me.
"I don't think your dad likes me"Chris said
"No he does,he just has trust issues since you know...Danny"I said "he doesn't want me to have a boyfriend that's hurts me"
He nodded and cupped his hand on my cheek "I'd never hurt you"
I smiled
"I wonder how he's gonna react when he finds out that we're getting married" he said and chucked
"Well he'll just have to deal with it" I said and continued walking towards the kitchen

Me and Tiana were in the living room watching her dad grill the burgers.
Then we saw him walk up the patio and he peeked threw the sliding door.
"Christopher"he called
I sat up "yes sir"
"You know how to grill"he asked
"Very much"I said and smiled
"Come help me"he said and walked back out to the back yard
I looked Tiana and she smiled "go"
I shrugged it off and walked out there.
I caught up to him and the grill where he was grilling burgers and ribs. Damn it smells good.
"So son..."he says while handing me a spatula "how did you and my daughter meet"
Go this is a good start.
"At a bowling alley two and half years ago" I say
He nods "are you religious?"
"I mean when I was younger I used to go to church with my my mom every Sunday I was in the choir" I said and smiled
He laughed "that's great" he flips the burger over "listen Christopher you sound like a very very nice man...but I'm going to tell you this, if you ever EVER hurt my daughter I'll cut you"
I turned to him "mr.West I do not have any intentions of hurting your daughter. I love Tiana with all my heart...I um ask her to marry me"
Right when I said that he slammed his spatula down.
"Without my blessing...for a church boy I would have thought you knew better" he says
"Yeah well Tiana never mentioned you from the first time we met. I was anxious and I was really in the moment but can I have your blessing on marrying her please. Mr.West"I said
He looked at me "sure...I'll still cut you though if you hurt her. She has told me things about you when she came here a couple months ago"
Then we heard screaming but they were happy screams.
I arched an eyebrow and me and her dad walked in the house
"Aunt shellyyyyyyy!!"Tiana said hugging some lady
"What's up baby"she says and hugs Tiana
And right behind Tiana's AINT was Jerome holding Ashton.
I smiled "ahhhh my baby boy"
I picked him up and held him
"Daddy" he says
My eyes wifey and everyone looked at me and Ashton.
"Oh my gosh...he finally said it" Tiana said and smiled while walking over to us
"Yes! In your face Lady"I said to Tiana
"Hey be grateful that I had hope he was going to say daddy ok"she said and laughed
She looked at her aunt.
"Chris this is my Aunty Shelly...Aunty Shelly this is my fiancé Chris"she said and I shook her hand
"Nice to meet you mrs.shelly"
She shook her head "no baby you can call me AUNTY AND I DON'T SHAKE HANDS I GIVE HUGS" she said
And right before she gave me the hug Tiana quickly swooped Ashton from my hands. Then aunty gave the biggest and tightest hug.
Who knew a lady could be this strong!
we released from the hug and I walked over to Jerome.
"Wassup bro"I said dapping him up
"Sup so...you wifing my sister" he says
"Yup"I said "still doesn't feel real...I'm nervous for the wedding"
He nods "how's the music coming?"
"Music it's doing great I just released I new song. It's called 'hope you do' I have to go do a video for it in two weeks"
"Oh wait I heard that. It comes on the radio a lot"he said and laughed
The rest of the day me and her family got along and we discussed the wedding and how things have been going the past year.
Her aunty hated Danny to the core. She is saying some very harsh shit about him...I don't blame her.
