After giving my 4 month old Aaliyah a bath after taking loads of pictures for Instagram ,I lotioned her up and put her in a blue onesie ,taking off her headband and laid her in her crib after she fell asleep.
I took the time to shower and wash my curly hair and do some needed body maintenance and a face mask ,while it dried I put on a oversized hockey jersey and let my hair air dry
After washing my face and cleaning up Aaliyah's toys in the living room the doorbell rang ,I invited my new friend Dante over who's a photographer that I met a few weeks ago at Aaliyah's shoot
I stood on my tip toes looking through the peep hole and rolled my eyes as I unlocked the door opening it, he stood there with that infamous look on his face
"Damn LiAngelo stare much?"I put my hand on my hip waiting for my ex/baby daddy to speak
"Shit I could ask you the same"he scoffed walking in moving past me
I began to say something but I was already tired and didn't have the energy to fight with him,I shut the door and locked it as I followed him,waiting for him to speak.
He had absolutely no reason to be here since he's picking up Aaliyah on Friday which is the day he always does through Monday unless we plan otherwise.
He took of his jacket throwing it on the love seat to reveal his large tattooed arms as I bit my bottom lip looking down"where's my daughter?"he deep voice questioned before walking into the kitchen "she's sleep in her room"I exhaled looking up crossing my arms over my chest as he basically raided my snack filled pantry ,I watched leaning against the wall thinking of possible reasons why I shouldn't choke him.
He was okay until he grabbed my bag of hot fries and before i knew it I ran up to grab them but he lifted the bag up in the air knowing good and well his 6,5 ass is a damn tower.
He looked down at me smirking putting the chips on the highest shelf as I frowned before grabbing my wide hips and using his finger to make the waistline of my thong snap back to my skin due to it being visible with my arms up like this,he knew just what he was doing.
"Gaahd Damnnn Gelo that hurt"I whined rubbing the spot,hitting his chest as he smiled at me evilly.
"Who you dressed like this for anyways ,huh?"he grabbed a handful of my ass squeezing it as I moaned unintentionally making his facial expression change into a surprised smile as his mouth was ajar
"Don't worry about it"I breathed out as he laughed and began massaging it bringing my body to his as my stomach rubbed against his bulge
"I missed you des"he whispered leaning down to my ear ,kissing it lightly before biting it and grabbing my neck roughly catching me completely off guard but just the way he knew I liked it making me put my hand over his, he kissed down my jaw then to my neck softly and it felt amazing,his full pink lips sucking and kissing right on the spot making me bite my lip.
Suddenly we heard the faint cry of Aaliyah making us pull back slowly,thankfully,I would've hated for anything to have went any further knowing he was still in a relationship.
The doorbell happened to ring at the same time as it was practically a sign from god to get the fuck before anything went any further "get the door ,I'll go get her"I backed away from him as he smiled licking his bottom lip.
Her cry's became louder as I neared her nursery,
"what's wrong mama"I picked her up out of her crib kissing her cheek,feeling her warm forehead, as she began cooing with tears pouring out of her eyes
"Aww your warm" I laid her back down to quickly change her diaper ,leaving her in a fresh one before I went to grab the digital thermometer from her closet.
I put it under her arm and waited as she quickly became irritable all over again and I became worried,this was the first time she's ever been this warm,the thermometer beeped as my heart dropped in my ass and it read 102.
I immediately called my mom who's a nurse at USCF Medical Center ,she should be at work now.
"Hey baby what's up?"my moms soothing voice came through the phone
"Ma , Liyah's burning up"I whined along with her as I picked her up trying to calm her
"You check her temp?"she asked
"Yeah"I cleared my throat
"Well what is it hun?"she asked obviously
"Uh 102"I said nervously hoping she'd say it wasn't that big of a deal
"Ah hell"she said worriedly
"Maaa"I whined.
"Baby I'm serious the average temp for a baby shouldn't be over 100 let alone 102"she explained
"I'm on my way"I exhaled
"K hurry and cover her up, call me when your here ,I'll fill out the papers"she instructed
"I will"I answered as I hung up
I held her to my chest as I immediately grabbed her blue baby bear fluffy hooded onesie from her closet gently putting it on her
,I filled her baby bag with everything needed as her cry's became louder and more dreadful making my heart quicken.
"Lemme see her"Gelo walked in gently taking her from me laying her small body on his chest rubbing her back as I ran my hand through my now wild curly hair stressed and nervous as ever,putting her blanket in her bag she slowly began to calm down with her eyes half open as she groaned as if she was in pain."daddy's got you baby" he reassured her.
"Why she crying like this?"he asked looking down at me
"Because "I grabbed the thermometer showing it to him,as he furrowed his eyebrows.
"That's too high right?"he pecked her head twice
"Yeah ,imma take her in"I exhaled grabbing her bag putting it over my shoulder
"I'll take you ,go change,I'll meet you in the car ,don't worry ma"he nodded rubbing my shoulder sensing my worry
"Yeah, Ok "I nodded patting his hand softly on my back before leaving the room and going to mines down the hall ,I practically destroyed my whole room in a matter of 30 seconds finding something comfy to put on
After grabbing my phone ,I locked the door before going over to my Jeep that was next to Gelo's Dodge Charger GT.
He sat in the drivers seat as I got in the back to watch Aaliyah even tho she was buckled in her car seat fast sleep.

We walked into the dark house ,as I began turning on the lights and Gelo made his way upstairs to lay Aaliyah down,turn's out she has an ear infection which caused her fever and irritation,she was prescribed acetaminophen and sleep but of course after she was treated and half sleep my mom had to walk her around showing her to her coworkers,my mom takes every bit of pride in her grandchild even though my dad passed last year just 2 months after I found out I was pregnant ,she still managed to smile and be the best grandparent Aaliyah could ever ask for besides Gelo's parents who love her to death also.
After taking a quick 5 minute shower and changing , I put my hair into a pineapple updo,tidied up my room a little before heating up 5 slices of left over pizza from earlier and grabbed two Gatorades
I walked upstairs with everything in my hand to find Gelo in the white rocking chair ,shirt off ,with Aaliyah curled into his chest in her diaper as they both rested peacefully,after taking multiple pictures ,I gently knocked on the door of her nursery with my open hand ,careful not to wake up the sleeping infant but her father ,who I'm sure his girl probably wants him to at least call her and come home since he hasn't picked up his phone once except when his dad and brother's called about Aaliyah.
Gelo's eyes slowly opened as he looked at me smiling tiredly.
"Gotcha dinner boi"I smirked as he stood up kissing his daughters head before laying her down in her crib
"Thank you baby"he took the plate out of my hand as I sat the Gatorade on the large white dresser
"Baby?"I laughed taking a few steps back folding my pizza before biting out of it
"You heard me des,where you going?"he chuckled sitting back down in his previous spot
"To my room LiAngelo,shouldn't you be getting home to yah lady?"I tilted my head turning back around
"I already am"he shrugged eating his food as I covered my mouth from coughing and choking on my food at his comment
Somebody been drinking and smoking
I swallowed my food holding up my hand signaling that I needed a minute.
"L-let -uh ,how do I say this?"I thought out loud putting my hand on my forehead
"what are you saying ?"I laughed scrunching up my face as he rolled his eyes
"Don't play wit me Des"he shook his head
"You have a girl Gelo"I threw my hand up
"Yeah ,You"he pointed at me as I exhaled trying not to laugh
"K what happened to shorty then?"I played along with his game putting my pizza down opening a fruit snack pack popping a few in my mouth waiting for his silly answer.
He chewed while he seemed to be thinking
"She cheated"he licked his lip
I threw my hand at him as I took a sip of my Gatorade ,closing it as I wiped the sides of the mouth with my thumb
I looked but up at him to see him still looking at me with a straight face
"Oh shit,you for real?"i raised my eyebrows as he nodded
It got quiet and I kinda felt bad for the big guy
"You okay ?"I asked him as he nodded putting down his food drinking from his Gatorade also.
"I mean yeah I thought she was cool and all but she wasn't for me"he shrugged "And her cheating just made it easier for me to see it"he sat up straight in the chair looking at the floor
"Well at least you found out now rather then later"I crossed my arms over my chest walking over to the crib admiring my sleeping baby.
It's crazy when your younger you think your gonna meet someone get married, have kids and live happily ever after, not have your first child together and breakup right after due to a senseless argument and have to Co-Parent
"She's starting to resemble a lil bit of my dad"I smiled looking at her nose and crazy long lashes that remind me of myself and him,her eyes she definitely got from her dad and her complexion is a mixture of mines and Gelo's along with my hair texture.
"Old man brooks"he smiled making me smile as he leaned back in the chair,him and my dad were buddies as soon as they got over the getting used to each other stage,of course my dad wasn't ecstatic about me being pregnant at 19 but once he saw the ultrasound pictures he kept a copy in his wallet.
He would've been a great papa to Aaliyah.
"Destiny"he called out my name
"Hm?"I looked at him as he waved me over
I stood in front of him bitting my lower lip with my hands crossed behind my back
"Why you nervous?"he asked grabbing my thigh putting my body in between his legs
"I'm not"I looked away lying obviously
"You are,you biting yah lip"he titled his head as his thick eyebrows furrowed together
Before I could respond I was swiftly pulled into his lap to straddle him as he looked into my eyes.
"Remember what I told you before I left?"he put his hand behind my neck making me move closer to him ,as his beard lightly grazed my ears sending chills through my spine and his other hand rested on my thighs as he would squeeze them.
I interlocked my arms behind his neck for support as I pulled back searching his face for what seemed like the first time all over again"you said that any other girl you would ever talk to from then on ,would only be used to try and fill half of the void that I left"I managed to breath out as he leaned in kissing from my ear to my neck until our lips brushed past each other and I pulled back staring into his green eyes that seemed a shade darker "I love you"his lips parted
"I love you too"I exhaled ,he grabbed my ass holding me as he stood up and our lips attacked each other hungrily ,his tongue dominated over mine and he pressed our bodies closer making me moan into the kiss as he used his foot to close my bedroom door ,Luckily the baby monitor was charged all the way...we would need it...for the rest of the night.
I woke up to the bright sun as I looked around at the empty bed before looking over at the baby monitor, I noticed that the crib was also empty and instantly the smell of bacon slithered through my nose making me roll my eyes smiling as I leaned back on the bed ,I thought back to how amazing that dick was... and what the fuck ever happened to Dante's gay ass?
