"What kind of- He's still sad? It's been a year...I know he misses him but he needs to move on for Neulie and Kyu. It's difficult for them as well,-"
"Jimin, you know he literally loved him since childhood? Imagine losing your childhood sweetheart. It's like losing a part of you."
"Joon, I understand but-"
"Let him be for a bit, it's their anniversary today, Min. You know it's extra difficult on a day like today."
"I guess you're right."
"I always am."
"Pfft, yeah. Bye Joonie."
"Bye, Jimin."
They both hung up, Namjoon making his way up the steps.
He knocked at Taehyung's door timidly, tapping his foot against the floor and coughing lightly,
"Tae? I'm going... home, okay? I love you, please take care of yourself. I made you some food and cleaned the house. Neulie and Kyu are at Jimin's house and you'll be left alone for the rest of the day, yeah? Just like you want. Bye, Taehyungie."
The aforementioned sniffled, wiping his tear stained eyes and looking down at his lap, fiddling with his fingers, a broken whisper with a strained voice stumbled out of his mouth, barely audible and coherent,
"I l..l-ove y-you t..oo, b-bye. T-thank y..o-u s-so much."

Hours had passed, and Taehyung had finally decided to build up the courage to leave his room and eat something small, he knows Jungkook wouldn't like the fact that he hadn't eaten for a long time, the starvation he's going through paining him greatly, but not as much as his sorrow filled heart.
A swift open of his fridge and he pulled out the pasta Namjoon had made him, mentally thanking his hyung once again and looking at the portion, thinning it down drastically.
The brunet chucked it into the microwave, sniffling and staring at nothing while waiting patiently, longing for someone to just suddenly backhug him and present him with his favourite flowers-
Knock, knock, knock.
Taehyung's head darted up, his ears perking up as well, he turned off the microwave hesitantly, slowly walking to the front door and trying to arrange his disheveled hair, was it Namjoon? Or maybe Jimin with Kyu and Neulie?
The frail and small boy opened the door slowly, being met by a bouquet of Cattleya Orchids, such pretty shades of purple, it was somehow luminous, magical, pristine, premium, the hues of purple matching so perfectly in a huddle all together. Taehyung was truly mesmerised.
A timid tone, "Y-yes?"
"Mr. Kim Taehyung?"
The young man seemed bored with his job, a sigh left his lips as he saw Taehyung's shaky nod.
"Alright, delivery through us from Jeon Jungkook. Don't miss the note on the side. Have a goo-"
Taehyung's jaw dropped. Jungkook?
"Is this some sick joke? My husband's fucking dead."
The delivery man seemed taken aback, "I'm sorry for your loss, but I'm 100% sure about this delivery. I'm almost certain we had a Jeon Jungkook preorder a lot of flowers for this address. This one is a special delivery, my boss said it's one we had to bring from the last batch. Kim Namjoon requested it. Anyways, I don't have all day, here, sir. Have a nice day."
Taehyung took the flowers still perplexed, a shocked look etched on his once depressed face.
"I..what.."
The latter looked for the note on the flowers, finding one that seemed pretty lengthy.
Taehyungieee!!!! It's Jungkookieeee.
If you're reading this..that's not so good! Unless you wanted this?? It means I've passed, huh? Well...look at the bright side, I'm in a better place. You know how you always ask how I remember to get flowers for every single anniversary? Not only are you so important I could never forget, but I prepaid for every single bouquet, we can't have Taehyungie spend an anniversary without flowers, now can we? I hope you know each bouquet I've sent means a different thing! This bouquet is special, it's your favourite colour and it means I'm not with you anymore. Well...I actually am! I'm always by your side, Taehyungie. You can never get rid of me. No matter what. I'm too cool to get rid of hehe. Remember to keep my Iron Man stuff, that shit's important. Tears pitter pattered onto the note, a small and solemn smile suited Taehyung's features, "Right, can't ruin his beautiful handwriting."
His thin and calloused fingers wiped his tears, hugging the note and feeling a little presence beside him, love blossoming in his heart. Jungkook was still here.
Just like he promised.
No matter the consequence or situation, he was still here. Even when they fought, when they broke up, when Taehyung was pissed off. He was always damn there.
And Taehyung couldn't be more grateful. Some promises are really worth keeping. Not all of them need to be broken.
And that's why Taehyung promised, he'd write to Jungkook every night. Always. And he kept his promise just as Jungkook had kept his, his promise of never leaving.

A graceful figure sat on the countertop, smiling from ear to ear and swinging his legs, his hands cupped together and his eyes glistening with happiness. He hopped off the counter, circling Taehyung and eyeing him, the grin never leaving his face. The ravenette giggled softly, stopping his circling and back hugging him solemnly,
"I love you too, Taehyung."
