The sky darkened and it started to rain,while a female Echidna was in a tree.She whispered to herself as she drew on the tree with some mud and started laughing as she finished her piece of art.

She said the young prince's name as she started to laugh again looking at the picture of the young hedgehog,whipping a red line of red mub on the picture of the young hedgehogs forehead.
Later in the morning
The young black hedgehog stood outside of the cave he lives in as he ran back inside to wake up his Dad.
Shadow: Dad!Dad!Come on Dad!We gotta go wake up!
Shadow yelled as he ran over to his Dad while stepping on someone on the way over to him.He pushed his hands on him trying to wake him up.
Shadow: Dad?Dad..Dad Dad Dad Dad Dad
Amy: Son your awake..
Blackdoom: Before sunrise he's your son..
Shadow: Dad..Come on Dad!
Shadow: Ugh!Woah!
The young hedgehog bumped into his Dad as he pushed himself back and ran back to Blackdoom and bumped his head on to his Dad's head.
Shadow: You promised..
Blackdoom: Ok Ok,I'm up I'm up..
Shadow: Yea!
Black said as he yawned and got himself up as he walked out of the cave with his son,and before they lefted,Shadow gave his Mom a hug and then followed his Father.
Black and his son sat down on a rock where they could see a good view of the area.
Blackdoom: Look Shadow,everything the light touchs is our kingdom
Shadow: Wow
Blackdoom: A King's time as ruler rises and falls like the sun
Blackdoom: One day Shadow the sun will set on my time here,and will rise with you as the new King
Shadow: And this will all be mine?
Blackdoom: Everything
Shadow: Everything the light touchs
Shadow said as he looked over to the right and he could see a rocky area where,there's no light seen there.
Shadow: What about that shadowy place?
Blackdoom: That's beyond our borders...you must never go there Shadow..
Shadow: But I thought a King can do whatever he wants
Blackdoom: Well,there's more to being King then getting your way all the time
Shadow: There's more?
Blackdoom: *Chuckles* Shadow
Blackdoom said as he started walking away as Shadow followed him.Walking along the area of grass and the antelope running along the grass.
Blackdoom: Everything you see exists together in a delicate balance
Blackdoom: As King you need to understand that balance and respect all the creatures
Blackdoom: From the crawling ant to the leaping antelope
Shadow: But Dad,don't we eat the antelope?
Blackdoom: Yes Shadow but let me explain,when we die our bodies become the grass and the antelope eat the grass
Blackdoom: And so we are all connected in the great circle of life
Rouge flys over the king and his son as she lands on a rock.
Rouge: Goodmorning,Sire!
Blackdoom: Goodmoring,Rouge
Rouge: Checking in with the morning report
Blackdoom: Fire away
Rouge: Well! The buzz from the bees is that the leopards are in a bit of a spot
She said with her back straight and her chin up with pride
Blackdoom: Really?
Shadow turns his head as he sees a grass hopper leap past him and he try's pouncing on it but misses.
Blackdoom: What are you doing, son?
Shadow leaps again to try and catch the grass hopper but misses again as he lands on a rock.
Shadow: Pouncing
Blackdoom: Let an old pro show you how it's done
Blackdoom smirked as he looked over to Rouge while she's going on about her morning report.
Rouge: I told the elephants to forget it but they can't...
She said with a hint of annous.
Blackdoom: Rouge, would you turn around?
He said with a smile
Rouge: Yes,Sire
She said as she turned around talking again with out giving a second thought.
Rouge: The cheetahs are hard up,but...
Blackdoom: Stay low to the ground
Blackdoom said showing Shadow the basics
Rouge continued
Rouge: Cheetahs never prosper...
Shadow: Yeah ok, Stay low to the ground, right? Yeah
Shadow whispers as Rouge turns her head to the both of them with confusion.
Rouge: What's going on?
Blackboom: A pouncing lesson
Rouge: Oh very good, pouncing
Rouge says as she's about to turn back around but then realize's what's going on.
Rouge: Pouncing?! Oh No sire, you can't be serious!
She said as Blackdoom just smirk and pointed for her to turn back around.
Rouge: This is so humiliating
She said as she turned back around.
Blackdoom: Try not to make a sound
Blackdoom whispered as Shadow hunched down getting ready to pounce.
Rouge turned her head alittle.
Rouge: What are you telling him, Black?
Rouge: Black? Shadow?
She said as she looked behind her to see if she could spot them.
Shadow pounces as he pushes Rouge off the rock and onto the ground,Blackdoom laughs as Shadow looks back at him with a smile still on top of Rouge,as he gets off her and walks away.While Rouge lays on the ground questioning her life.
Blackdoom: That's very good
Rouge!
Rouge: Yes!
She said as a mull comes out of the ground.
Mull: News from the underground
Blackdoom raps his arm around Shadows right shoulder and duck down.
Blackdoom: Now, this time
Rouge: Sire! Rebals in the Pride Lands!
Rouge said with worry.
Blackdoom gets up and stops in front of Rouge.
Blackdoom: Rouge, take Shadow home
Shadow: Aw Dad can't I come?
Blackdoom: No, Son
Blackdoom says as he runs off.
Shadow turns around disappointed he can't go.
Shadow: Pah! I never get to go anywhere
Rouge: Oh, young master, one day you will be king
Rouge: Then you can chase those stobbering, mangy, stupid poachers from dawn until dusk.
She said as she flys along while Shadow walks back home.
Later
With Fleetway
Shadow: Hey Uncle Fleet! Guess what?
Fleetway: I despise guessing games...
He said with annous.
Shadow: I'm gonna be King of Pride Rock
Shadow said with pride as Fleetway starts turning away.
Fleetway: Oh, goody!
Shadow runs over to the edge of the the rock they are on.
Shadow: My Dad just showed me the whole Kingdom
He said looking off into the distance.
Shadow: And I'm gonna rule it all!
Fleetway: Yes, Well, forgive me for not leaping for joy..
Fleetway: Bad back, you know..
He said as he sat down turning his head towards Shadow,as he turns back around and lays down.
Shadow: Hey, Uncle Fleet
Shadow said as he walked over to him,and lays over Fleetway.
Shadow: When I'm King, what'll that make you?
Fleetway: A monkey's Uncle
He said hopeing the kid would go away,Shadow rolls off him on to the ground and laughs.
Shadow: Heh your so werid
Fleetway: You have no idea..So your father showed you the whole kingdom,did he?
Fleetway asked as he got up and starting walking to a edge of the rock,as Shadow followed him.
Shadow: Everything
Fleetway: He didn't show you what's beyond that rise at the northern border?
Fleetway said as he sat down again and Shadow stopped walking.
Shadow: Well, no, He said I can't go there
Fleetway: And he's absolutely right
Fleetway: It's far to dangerous,Only the bravest hedgehog's go there
He said,catching Shadows attention just like he wanted.
Shadow: Well, I'm brave what's out there?
Fleetway: I'm sorry, Shadow I just can't tell you~
Fleetway said turning his head.
Shadow: Why not?
Fleetway: Shadow Shadow,I'm only looking out for the well-being of my favorite nephew
He said as he pats Shadow's head.
Shadow: Yeah, right! I'm your only nephew^^
Fleetway: All the more reason for me to be protective
Fleetway: An elephant graveyard is no place for a young prince, Oops!
He said as he covered his mouth with one of his hands like he didn't mean to say that.
Shadow: An elephant what? Whoa!
Fleetway: Oh! dear I've said to much
Fleetway: Well, I suppose you'd have found out sooner or later,you being so "clover" and all
He raps his arm acourse Shadows shoulder.
Fleetway: Just do me one favor~
Fleetway: Promise me you'll never visit that dreadful place~
He said scrunching up Shadows face against his chest.
Shadow: No problem
Fleetway lets him go.
Fleetway: There's a good lad,you run along now and have fun
Fleetway says as Shadow starts running away but then stop when he sees Fleetway isn't done talking.
Fleetway: And remember,it's our little secret~
He said as Shadow smiles at him and then leaves,while Fleetway smirks knowing Shadow will go there,this may give him a chance to get rid of him.
Shadow makes it home and sees his best friend,getting washed in water and runs over to him.
Shadow: Hey, Sonic
Sonic: Hi, Shadow
Sonic says while his Mom pours water over his head.
Shadow: Come on, I just heard about this great place*whispers*
Sonic: Shadow! I'm kind of in the middle of a bath -_-
???:And it's time for yours
A pink hedgehog says as she grabs Shadow and drops him in the water.
Shadow: Mom!
Shadow said while his Mom poured water over his head and rubbed his head.
Shadow: Mom,your messing up my quails!
Amy looked down at him with a smile and let's him go as he gets out of the water and shakes the water off.
Shadow: Okay, Okay I'm clean can we go now?
Sonic comes out of the water as while and shakes off the water.
Sonic: So where are we going?
Sonic: It better not be anyplace dumb
Shadow: No,it's really cool
Amy: So where is this really cool place?
Shadow: Oh,Uh around the waterhole
Sonic: The waterhole?!Whats so great about the water hole?-_-
Shadow turns to Sonic and whispers to him.
Shadow: I'll show when we get there
Sonic: Oh
Sonic said now being curious.
Sonic: Uh, Mom, can I go with Shadow?
Alena looks at him and then Amy.
Alena: Hmm, what do you think Amy?
Amy: Well...
Sonic and Shadow turn to Amy with big eyes.
Both: Please?
Amy: It's alright with me
Shadow Yeah!
Sonic: All right!
They say happily as they start running away with joy.
Amy: As long as Rouge goes with you
They both stop.
Shadow: Aw no not Rouge
