We watch as the kingdom army walked through keeping people worried

Erhard told us about this clock in the church apparently when the last grain of sand falls that's when we're sent to go fight the waves so we decided to go check it out

We left the church and found an inn to stay at. Ever since we saw the other heroes master y/n has been more quiet than usual

All of the heroes parties gathered for the wave ready to fight

Then a gong rang was mash and I were teleported to the wave

We heard footsteps and saw the other heroes running towards the boss but mash stopped me

Suddenly a flare shot up into the sky

A young shoulder was about to be cut down when mash blocked the strike and y/n sliced it down the middle with his dagger

Y/n: ill distract them away from you, since we defeated that goblin champion I learned a few new skills I wanna try

Y/n ran off towards the town square as he saw a bunch of skeleton soldiers about ot kill some civilians

Y/n:( using taunt skill) Over here you bastards!
Sone a purple aura covered y/n as the skill worked and drew the undead soldiers towards him
Y/n: all of you get out of here now!
Then y/n ran off again towards the town square as one guy was about to be mincemeat but y/n threw his dagger at the head of the undead then teleported there taking his dagger out and cutting it in half
Y/n: run now!
Then as y/n ran past him a lady and her daughter were about to get killed by some bees so y/n his threw dagger at them and one passed them
Y/n: grab the dagger!!!!
The lady listen and y/n swapped places with them before the bees got to them and before the bees got to y/n used his teleportation skill to moved towards the second dagger
Y/n: alright I think I got all of the attention now what do I do?
Y/n kept backing up as the undead began to creep closer then he backed up into a wall but it wasn't a wall it was a watchtower
Y/n: idea time
Y/n grabbed a stick that was on fire and started climbing the tower and when he got to the top he started ringing the bell as the loud noise started attracting all of the monsters in the area
Y/n: that's it keep on coming
Y/n took out a bottle of oil and poured it on the tower as the undead started to climb the tower
Y/n: time to burn
Y/n dropped the sure on the oil and jumped off the tower throwing his dagger at a nearby house and using his skill to move towards the dagger.
Y/n pov
The tower burnt down and killed the majority of the monster that's when i noticed my magic meter in the red
Y/n: crap im running low on mp
???: Adventurer
One of the villagers came running up to me
Y/n: what are you doing here I told you to run
???: we all decided to help after seeing you in action, we can't just leave lute is our home. We want to fight for it
Y/n: fine, we need to keep the enemy pinned down until we can finish the evacuation
Then a shadow loomed over me as a giant zombie soldier was about to cut me down but mash came in clutch and blocked the strike

Y/n: im on it
I jumped over her and changed weapons to my buster sword and stabbed the zombie in the skull killing it
Y/n: phew thanks for that I was almost killed
Y/n lvl 24 950xp gained ->lvl 25
Mash lvl 20 475xp gained
Mash: hurry up and evacuated we'll take care of it here
???: yes but both of you be careful
The villagers least leaving us with the great of the monster
Y/n: you ready mash, just like we practiced

Then there was a loud popping sound as we both looked in the sky
Y/n: what the hell is that
Mash: Master!
Then mash grabbed me and puts her shield above us blocking the fireballs and when it stopped we heard footsteps
???: hehehehe, we killed them all in one go, hmmm it's that faker, your pretty tough
Mash: you bastards!
She charged them with her shield as one knight protected his captain
Mash: did you know we were here, awnser me before I crush you
???: ngh, she strong. Men draw your swords
Then mash jumped back
Captain: what's this are you with that faker
Mash: I am my master shield I will protect him from all who would harm him
Captain: how dare you point your blade at a royal knight
Mash: some knight you are, you neglect the people you're supposed to defend!

He tried around and saw the giant undead about to strike him but the same knight that blocked mash strike saved him again
???: everyone get into formation now!
Soon they started to get overwhelmed

Y/n: hmmmmm?...hold on (drinks mp potion) ahhh~alright let's go save them
The knight captain was about to get chopped down by the giant undead but mash saved him and then she moved the undead blade to the side as I ran past her cutting it down the middle with my buster sword
Y/n: look we'll buy you time use it to get into formation, mash let's go
Mash: yes!
I switched from my sword to my in and yang daggers and sliced a zombie in half then mash blocked a strike for me and I spun around her stabbing another zombie in the head, a bigger zombie tried to cut me down but mash blocked it and I threw my knife at its head and teleported there ripping my dagger out and landing on the ground back to back with mash
Mash: master, look the soldiers

Soon the soldiers helped out making it easier on us as the sky started returning to normal

At the end of the day, I did the best I could but even then alot of people got injured and some even died

Mash: y/n all the monster are gone but this...it doesn't feel like we won

Then I turned and the elder of the village was bowing to me
Elder: please accept our heartfelt thanks there is no way we could ever survive without you

After the fight, the king was given out rewards at a party held by him to the heroes I didn't like the king but I was a fan of money so I went

Then she handed me a plate of food and honestly, I only pretended to like it for her I reality I can't taste anything
