I loved writing this chapter. I hope you all enjoy it.
All I could think about was Hope and how she is not in our lives. She is who knows where in the world. Safe and sound but not in my arms. I cried the first night she left. I haven't felt such pain since the death of my parents and even then the pain I feel in my heart doesn't compare to the one I feel for my child. Klaus tries to stay strong but I know it's killing him too.
Hayley and Elijah try to comfort us in every way they can but no matter how much they love and care for Hope nothing they feel for her compares to our love. My heart aches not having her with me. I barely got to have her before she was ripped from me. I shook the city of New Orleans that night from my rage and heartbreak. I watched the news speaking about how some of the oldest buildings in town suffered serious damage from an unknown earthquake. If I had it my way I would crumble a whole state if it meant getting my daughter back in my arms. I have so much anger and frustration toward Klaus and his siblings for the enemies they made over the centuries. I know this is only because I miss Hope so much, but I find myself becoming a bitter person.
I left Mystic Falls after coming back from the Prison World with Bonnie not telling anyone I had died. I even asked Bonnie for her not to mention me since I had things I needed to deal with back in New Orleans. She didn't want to at first but understood I had to deal with things in my own way. She called me on the second week without Hope asking for my help. I didn't think twice about it as I needed something to take my mind off things. Klaus, Elijah, and Hayley had things sort of under control on figuring how to get the moonlight rings back from The Guerra wolves. Bonnie nor my sister knew anything about Hope and I plan to tell them she died. I have to keep the story straight even to them. I can't have them involved in my mess.

Arriving at the Boarding House I was filled with all these emotions wanting to force themselves out. I wanted to cry and scream and above all, I wanted to die. Klaus and I promised always and forever to each other but no one knew losing our daughter would put a wedge between us. We needed this time away to deal with what's happening in our lives and I needed to get my anger out. "To meet the woman who gave birth to the two epic loves of my life?" I hear my sisters voice.
"Yes, I love meeting an ex's mom. It's the highlight of my life." I state smiling at my sister who runs into my arms.
"What? How are you...when..."
"I called and asked for her help." Bonnie says smiling at me.
"Yeah, things are a little intense in New Orleans and I needed to get away."
"And to get away you wanted to come with us to a 1903 Prison World?" Damon asks suspiciously.
"I have to keep it exciting." I smirk at him and he rolls his eyes.
"Woah! Woah as powerful as I am there is a limit how many people can transport with this spell." The guy who I can only assume is the psychotic Kai who left Bonnie to die alone.
"Well, douchebag now there's three of us."
"Douchebag...how do..." I just look at him and throw him into the wall. I hold him there and Bonnie smiles nodding her head.
"I know what you did to Bonnie and she may have moved on enough to work with you but I just lost my baby and I'm ready to kill or torture anyone who pisses me off."
"What?" Bonnie, Elena, and Damon say together.
"There were wolves who took over New Orleans and my baby was a causality." I say trying to keep it together. "And I will say it again. The three of us will do the spell together. And if you try and do anything to double cross us I will castrate you." I say with a smile and Kai looks terrified but also a little happy.
"Hi, my names Kai." He smiles and winks at me.
"No, it's douchebag." I release him and go to stand by my sister.
"Now that Kai understands who is in charge, shall we?" Bonnie asks.
"Fine, let's get mom." I join Bonnie and Kai holding The Ascendant. Kai chants the spell and we all join hands as the familiar bright light shines above us. We open our eyes and we arrive at our destination.
"Well, isn't this a picturesque slice of hell?" Damon comments with his usual level of sarcasm.
"You guys go ahead. We'll start the locator spell on The Ascendant." Bonnie orders to Elena and Damon.
"Kai had The Ascendant. Why do we have to find another one?" Elena asks.
"The Ascendant can't travel between worlds. We gotta find its mirror image in 1903." Kai explains.
"Page 10 of the world-jumping rule book." Damon states bitterly. "Shall we?"
"I don't want to leave you both with him."
"We'll be fine Lenny." I say trying to assure her.
"He's good now, remember?" Bonnie tells her. We all look dumbfounded as Kai acts like a child and opens his mouth to catch snowflakes on his tongue. "New leaf." Elena slowly walks away.
"New leaf?" Kai comes up to us. "You believe me?"
"Hell no. Damon and Elena need to meet his mom alone."
"And other words shut the hell up and let's find The Ascendant." I hold my hand out for him and he takes it. His eyes perk up and he looks at me. "What are you staring at dick?"
"There's something dark about you." He smirks at me.
"And don't piss me off."
"So are you and Elena like related because you two look awfully alike."
"They're twin sisters." Bonnie comments and it's like his eyes light up.
"Twins huh."
"Yeah and that matters to you?"
"I'm a twin as well if Bonnie hasn't told you." He says like he's proud of himself.
"And you tried killing your twin sister after successfully killing some of your other siblings."
"You heard about that?" He acts like it wasn't a big deal.
"Shut up and give us your blood." I order.
"Come on at least let me get to know you. Since you know so much about me. You had a baby and must I say you look very hot for just giving birth." He winks at me and I roll my eyes.
"I didn't give birth to my baby. Another woman did and then my baby was killed."
"Has anyone told you that you have the most incredible cheekbones? They are mesmerizing. I'm finding it hard to concentrate."
"Has anyone told you how annoying you are?"
"Never."
"I doubt that."
"Let's get to work." Bonnie says. I hold her hand as Kai drops some of his blood on our hands. We begin chanting the locator spell.
"Do you want to know why I'm here?" Kai asks and we ignore him. "I don't expect either of you to believe me, but I need you to give me one more chance." I know he's saying the last part to Bonnie. We continue to chant ignoring him more. "Bonnie!" He says grabbing her hand. "Listen to me." He stops seeing that the drop of blood in our hand and he softens. "I'm sorry. Oh, my god I didn't mean to do that." He apologizes.
"But you did it anyway. Because if you're telling the truth...the old you is still inside of you." Bonnie fires at him.
"The Ascendant is this way." I state to them.

We walk away from where we came from. "The spell feels stronger." Bonnie states. "The Ascendant must be around here somewhere."
"Why would The Ascendant be here?" Kai asks us.
"We don't know but the spell is leading us here."
"If you don't think I'm capable of change, why spend a day with me? Why bring me out to the middle of nowhere? I could gut you all over again...and your friends would never even hear you scream."
"And what would you do when I kill you?" I ask him standing next to Bonnie.
"Because maybe you're right." Bonnie states. "Maybe deep down there's part of me that believes there's a sliver of good in you." Kai laughs not keeping it together for one second.
"Then you would be right. Looking, looking. Nope, they didn't hide The Ascendant in a random pile of..." Bonnie lunges at him and proceeds to stab him with the knife she brought with her. "Bonnie, what are you doing?"
"Gaining your trust then stabbing you in the back. Feels pretty sucky, doesn't it?"
"Please don't." He begs.
"Don't what? Don't leave you here all alone? Drive you to the point of wanting to end your life? I almost killed myself because of you."
"Bonnie, please, believe me, I've changed." He continues to beg.
"She knows." I say with no emotions in my voice
"And so have I." Bonnie goes for the kill but Kai disappears.
Bonnie and I run as quickly as we can to the house where The Ascendant is. Elena joins us with The Ascendant as we begin the spell. Damon is trying his best to convince his mother to join us. It's working and finally, they join us. "Bonnie!" We hear Kai call out and we ignore him as we finally leave. Revenge feels good.
