after breaking into their third apartment, jeongguk finally decided that its view was satisfactory. they dumped their stuff and sat back to admire their handiwork. i.e., the buggered lock.
"a balcony!" like a little kid, jeongguk ran to it, ripping open the sash and basking in the high-up air. the solidness of his black hair fluctuated, curling up in surrender to the wind. it was cold and jeongguk was only in a black t-shirt, but he didn't seem to mind. taehyung joined him.
the sky was grey, but a whitish kind of grey, descending as the sun, although clothed in cloud, met the horizon for their romantic affair. taehyung maintained a foot between them, knowing how jeongguk only appreciated physical interaction when needed.
it was peaceful. suddenly they weren't just poor kids — they were kings of the world.
"thanks," grumbled jeongguk. still bad at apologies, huh.
"you're welcome," chuckled taehyung. his caramel hair fluttered, rising above his brow. he didn't know that jeongguk was looking at him and, to be honest, neither did jeongguk. "i need to go," he sighed, having just noticed the time on jeongguk's stolen wristwatch. "it's... that time of day again." he tried to laugh a little, but it didn't work. he was beginning to despise it there, especially after... he shook his head: no more bad thoughts.
jeongguk nodded, not really focusing.
"bye." taehyung smiled at jeongguk's turned-away head before trotting out. jeongguk listened to the door close, inclining his head momentarily, before facing the view once more.
