Chapter Three | Norway Pressure
"Courage is grace under pressure."
👑Thorbjørn👑
"What took you so long?" Haakon asked when Thorbjørn walked back in.
Thorbjørn sighed.
"Not looking forward to seeing father, this can only mean two things, either he is in a mood or he is about to tell me something I am not going to like, either way I do not want to be here." Thorbjørn answered.
Haakon and Thorbjørn looked up when the doors opened. "Thorbjørn son. Come and sit. We have news." Harald V said.
Sonja glared at her husband. "You. You have news, this is nothing to do with me." She said.
Thorbjørn looked carefully between his parents. "I have a weird feeling I am not going to like this news at all." He said.
"Don't be silly son. This you will like." Harald V said.
"What is it?" Thorbjørn asked.
"You will be getting married to a Princess of course, hopefully this time next year you are a father." Harald V answered.
"Excuse me?" Thorbjørn asked.
"You as my son you will marry this Princess, and become a father by next year for the good of the kingdom and your image." Harald V answered.
"I'm sorry, to disappoint you, father but I will do no such thing. I'm a grown man and I will not be forced into an arranged marriage." Thorbjørn said.
"If you don't and you will no longer be welcome in Norway, you will no longer be a Prince you will have nothing. I'm tired of you being immature and this is the only way you can change for the better, son." Harald V said.
Thorbjørn shut his eyes tight and opened them again before leaving.
"Father, are you serious?" Haakon asked.
"Of course, not but he thinks I am so maybe this will motivate him to do better." Harald V answered.
"Do you think it will really work?" Haakon asked.
"Hopefully." Harald V replied.
"I do not see this ending well." Sonja said.

Why Is Prince Thorbjørn, At 40 Still Single?
Is he opposed to matrimony? Or has he not tried hard enough to find his “blue princess”? Plenty of theories are published every day about the voluntary or involuntary bachelorhood of the most sought-after, single prince in the world, especially since he turned 40 years old last month.
Prince Thorbjørn, fourth in the line to the Norwegian throne, has talked candidly about his difficulty to find the right partner to friends and in interviews: “Even if I just talk to a girl, that person is then suddenly my wife, and people go knocking on her door,” he lamented to the Sunday Times, referring to the reality that practically every one of his activities and actions are followed by photographers, journalists, social networks, bloggers of all stripes. “If or when I do find a girlfriend, I will do my utmost…to ensure that me and her can get to the point where we’re actually comfortable with each other before the massive invasion that is inevitably going to happen into her privacy.”
He’s lived under the media’s microscope literally since the day he was born, and has been dealing with the press, admirers and paparazzi all his life.
He’s admitted on different occasions that he has difficulties developing and maintaining relationships with women because of the scrutiny and curiosity that surround him at all times.
“Although Thorbjørn has made it very clear he would like a wife and children, he doesn’t seem to have been able to translate that wish into solid action,” wrote Royal correspondent Tom Sykes, who also says that “the question of what Thorbjørn is actually planning to do with the rest of his life continues to trouble royal strategists.”
Although the popular royal doesn’t hold a job and has admitted that he misses the structure of his once-busy life in the army, where for two decades he was an officer – a career that ended last year – he has kept very busy.
In fact, he’s considered one of the harder-working royals of his generation, not only representing the king in different official events and on trips, but also for his personal involvement in humanitarian causes.

Twitter users sympathise with single Princess Rose
'When will Rose's Prince Charming come?': Twitter erupts in sympathy for princess whose ex got engaged to another woman (as royal stays silent on her younger cousin's wedding)
Twitter erupted in sympathy for the royal with many questioning when it would be Rose's turn to find happiness.
One woman said she could relate to the predicament of being the only one left single when everyone else around you is getting married and settling down.
Another questioned whether if, in royal circles, she's now considered to be 'on the shelf'.
Rose and her long-term boyfriend Cedrick parted ways in December 2014 after 'make or break' talks – centred on whether or not they should get married.
'They talked it through and decided to take time apart to reflect on the future. They remain friends and the decision to break up was mutual,' a source said at the time.
But now with her ex engaged when will Rose's prince charming come?

“Princess Rose!”
"Your Royal Highness!"
"Your Highness!"
"Princess!"
"Rose!"
Her name was being screamed by the bystanders surrounding her as she emerged from the building as she picked up her two dresses for Eugenie's wedding.
“Rose over here!”
The sea of photographers clicking away at their cameras snapping pictures of her. She placed a wide smile on her lips and continued to her car.
Climbing into the back of the vehicle Rose looked at the photographers as the car took off.
"Rose, are you okay?" Luke asked.
"Yeah, just tired." Rose answered.
"You've been tired a lot, lately. Everything okay?" He asked.
"Yeah, just not sleeping well." She answered.
"The Prince of Wales wants to speak to you." Luke said.
“I guess that's where we're going now." Rose said as she stared blankly outside the window regretting every minute that brought her closer to her impending conversation with her father.
"Yes, ma'am." He said.
Rose paced back and forth waiting in her father’s sitting room while he finished a call with her grandmother. Crossing her arms she stared down at her heels clicking across the marble laid flooring.
“Rose.”
Rose quickly turned to see her father standing in his office door way.
"What is this sudden meeting about?" Rose asked.
“We need to talk sweetheart.” Charles answered as he held his hand out waving her inside.
Charles sat across from his daughter that avoided his eye contact.
"What is going on with you, Rose? William and Harry are concerned." He said.
"Concerned? For who?" She asked.
"You, Rose. They are concerned about you." He replied.
"There is nothing to be concerned about. I'm fine. They just do not understand I do not want to live the same life as them." Rose said.
“Rose, You are a royal and you are held to a higher standard than most woman your age and must act like so. This life you talk about is an very important life and you should not take it for granted.” He said.
"Trust me, I do not take it for granted, father. I just live it differently from my brothers and I wish everyone would just understand that and stop trying to make it seem like I have issues." She said.
"Rose." Charles said.
"You know, I’ve realised that I’m probably just perfect and it’s everybody else around me that’s got issues." Rose said.
