⚪Danny⚫
I come down the stairs, hair disheveled, rubbing my eyes. I unfold my t-shirt and pull it on. I shuffle my way into the kitchen. At the young age of 9 and 7 me and Jasmine went to cooking classes, seeing as every time our parents tried to cook something it came to life.
I open the fridge and pull out the egg carton and the package of bacon. It was my turn to cook breakfast. I took out a skillet and set it on the stove. I hear Jazz coming down the stairs and continue working.
Suddenly she comes running in struggling to pull her phone out in her sleepy state. "Danny, come quickly," she whispers and I stare at her. "Why are you whispering?" She shushes me again, pulling on my arm. I finally just let her lead me out of the kitchen and into the living room.
I stop and look to see Dani and Vivian together in a sleeping bag. Danielle is sleeping with her head on Vivian's collarbone. Vivian has her arm wrapped around Dani, her chin on top of Danielle's head.
I smile at how adorable this is. Jasmine holds up her phone and snaps a few photos before we return to the kitchen. "Oh, Danny, I finished the suit last night!"
I smile, cracking an egg and watching it drop into the skillet making sizzling sounds. "I really appreciate you making that for her Jasmine. I'm hoping it'll help protect her at least for people who actually like Danny Phantom."
"I'm sure she'll do fine, Danny. She has a great teacher." I smile flipping the eggs. Jazz and I make small chitchat while I continue cooking breakfast. Once I feel I've cooked enough eggs I begin cooking bacon.
I hear Dani and Vivian enter the kitchen, I look up and give them a small smile. "Morning, Dani, Vivian how'd you sleep?" Jazz asks cheerfully, I see Dani and Vivian share looks.
"I slept okay, didn't know if I'd be able to with my heart racing like it did last night thanks to someone!" She sticks her tongue out at me and I copy her. "I smell bacon!" I hear my father's voice and roll my eyes. Jazz comes over and grabs the plates setting them around the table.
Along with cups and silverware. I smile gratefully at her and she returns it. Jazz pours orange juice into her cup then into Vi's and Dani's at their request. I place an egg on every plate along with bacon just as my parents come down, dressed in their usual jumpsuits.
"Morning Mom and Dad," Jazz and I say at the same time. Our parents smile at us. "Good morning children." Mom sits down beside Jazz and Dad sits down beside Mom. I take my place beside Vivian.
After breakfast is done, I get a text from Tucker. He's ready for us to come over, his parents are going up to Glenview to pick up his cousin. I tell Dani, Vivian, and Jazz, and we head over there, Jasmine decides to bring Vi's new suit.
Once we're there, Tucker opens the door and we head up to his room. Sam smiles and waves, I wave back. Vivian enters with Jazz and Dani. "Okay, can I see the suit now?"
Jazz smiles before handing over the bag. She takes it opening it with an excited look. She pulls out the long jumpsuit, all black except for the neck and collarbone section. Jazz hands over silver gloves and boots.
"Also, this is for you," Jazz hands her a black headband. Vivian smiles and hugs her. "Thanks, Jasmine, you didn't have to do all this for me."
"I like contributing, besides it was a breeze for me."
"Let's see how it looks on you," Dani suggest and we all nod. "The bathroom's down the hall first door on your right." She smiles and leaves the room. "Guys, check out what else I made," she says holding up a sticker. It's a silver V.
"For Vivian, you know, make it official."
"It's great, Jasmine, she'll love it," Dani says. "So, how was your girls night?" Sam asks and we look over at her, she had her arms crossed. "Oh, I'm sorry I didn't invite you Sam, I figured you wouldn't have much fun. And you didn't miss much Danny scared the crap out of us and we ended early."
I rub my neck. "I already said I was sorry."
"Danny, you did a scare without me?" She asks pretending to sound offended and I smile. "Well, I figured you'd outshine me with your own terror that you bring." She smiles.
"Huh?" I turn at Dani's voice, she's looking over her shoulder with a raised brow. "Danielle, what is it?"
"I feel like someone tapped my shoulder."
"Hey!" I look and see Tucker's beret is backwards. I laugh along with everyone else. "Alright, Vivian, we know it's you," I say and hear giggling. Suddenly she appears beside me dressed like Danny Phantom.
Her green eyes shine with mischief. "Aw, Danny, you ruined all the fun."
"You're starting to sound like, Dani." She smiles floating around me. "Jazz, this suit is amazing!"
"Thanks, it looks great on you but it's missing an important detail." Vivian looks at her. "What?" Jasmine steps forward and presses the sticker on. The half-ghost looks down at the V and smiles. "I can't remember the last time I was this happy," she says and I feel bad for her.
Dani transforms and flies up to float beside her. "Happy to have another girl in the group." Vivian smiles at her, ruffling her hair. I smile happy to know she's fitting in. "So, Tucker, are you excited for your cousin coming to visit?"
"Yeah, I guess but she's bringing Aden."
"Is that her boyfriend?" Sam asks and Tucker shakes his head. "No, it's her best friend, she refused to leave him behind, they've know each other since forever."
"Aw, how sweet," Vivian says placing her feet on the ground and transforming back along with Dani. "Yeah, but I don't like him, I've met him once before and he's like a male version of Sam and I only need one of those," he says and Sam punches him in the shoulder.
"I was joking!"
"Yeah, right." Vivian giggles along with Dani and Jazz. "Alright, I think it's time to go, I've got homework to finish," I say and leave with Jazz, Dani, and Vivian.
As we're walking down the road, Vivian taps me on the shoulder. I turn and look at her. "What can I do for you, Vi?"
"When we get back to Fenton works I need to talk to you about something important."
"Okay, sure," I say and we walk in silence until we reach Fenton works. Jazz and Dani head off to her room and Vivian and I go to mine. I close the door and sit down on my window sill.
"What is it?"
"Okay, it's probably nothing but last night Dani had a nightmare and I think you should know about it." I crisscross my legs. "What was her nightmare about?"
"You died," she says and my eyes widen. "I die?! How?!"
"She says you die protecting someone from an evil looking man with red eyes and white hair."
"Well that narrows it down. Did she tell you anything else?" Vivian seems deep in thought before something clicks. "She told me that the man was wearing the Danny Phantom symbol on his chest." I freeze as the description matches perfectly with Dark Danny.
"Danny, what's wrong. You look like you've seen a ghost?" I couldn't even appreciate the irony of that. "Who's the man in Dani's nightmare?"
"He's me."
"What do you mean?" I sigh and stand up, staring at my floor. "A long time ago, I found out that in my future the death of my family, friends, and teacher, drove me to Vlad. After loosing everything, future me asked Vlad to remove my humanity so I wouldn't feel the pain anymore. After doing so my ghost-half did the same to him then overshadowed his ghost-half. Plasmius and Dan fused together and Vlad's evil half overpowered mine, he spent the next 20 years destroying the future."
"What happened?"
"I went to the future and after getting a thorough beating he went to my present and tried to make sure he'd continue to exist. But after getting the element of surprise I was able to capture him with the Fenton Thermos. He now resides with a trusted ally."
"But did Dani ever see him or did you ever tell her about him?" She asks sitting down on the edge of my bed and I sit beside her. "No, that's what's troubling me, I never told her about Dan. But then again Vlad did make her and I'm not sure if he knows, if he did he could have told her anything."
"I don't think so, Dani didn't seem to know or be concerned about him. I doubt she knows anything."
"That's a relief but I'm still worried. How could she have a dream about him when she doesn't know who he is?" I ask and Vivian puts her hand on my shoulder trying to give me comfort. "I don't know, Danny. I'm sure it's nothing, I just thought you should know."
"Thanks for telling me."
"Goodbye, Danny." She hugs me and I give her a small smile. "Goodbye, Vivian." I watch as she pulls away and leaves. I run my hand through my hair. "He's trapped in the thermos, he's never coming back. I have nothing to worry about." I get up and grab my backpack. Have to do homework some time.
