The coffees in my hands were really warm, slowly burning my hand. My mother was still outside, catching up with an old friend. And my sister, well she's on the toilet. I took a seat at a table in the left side of the little coffeehouse.
My gaze slowly moved around the room, looking at everyone until my eyes stopped by this girl. Her brown, long hair was in a messy bun and she wore some glasses.
The way she just sits there behind her laptop and books is kinda adorable. I couldn't stop staring at her, gosh she looks so cute but also frustrated. She buried her head in her hands, letting a loud groan leave her mouth.
'It is not nice to stare at women, Shawn,' I heard my sister say but my eyes were only focused on her. She took of her glasses and got up, probably to pack everything and go. But instead, she walked to the bar. 'Mom, Shawn is interested in a girl,' Aaliyah laughs, my mom took a seat next to me and laid a hand on my shoulder.
'It is okay to just talk to her. There is nothing bad about it, if you really want to talk to her just do it, son. You deserve all the happiness you can get,' she whispered in my ear, slowly pushing me off my chair. I got up and slowly shuffled over to her, my heart started to beat faster when she turned around and looked at me right in the eyes.
My breath stopped for a second. Her beautiful, green eyes were locked on mine. A little smile grew on her face when she saw me walking towards her. She looked down at her feet and slowly moved her weight to her other leg. 'Hi,' Her amazing British accent was very clear when she just whispered hi.
I stood next to her and just wait with her for her drink. 'Hi, I saw that you were kinda frustrated.' A sweet, little chuckle escaped from her lips while she shook her head. 'Haha yeah, I have exams next week but I cannot take it anymore.' She laughs while standing against the bar, 'what are you studying?,' I asked. 'Alexa, a caramel latte macchiato for Alexa.'
She grabbed her coffee and thanked the barista. She turned back around to me and gave me a sweet little smile, 'I study English Literature my last year.' I nodded and followed her to her table, we took a seat and I just looked at her beauty. 'Oh, I'm Alexa,' she laughs while shaking my hand. 'Nice to meet you, I am Shawn but you probably know me,' she shook her head and smiled with her teeth, 'oh really who are you?,' she questioned while sipping from her coffee.
We talked for a while until my sister came to us. 'Shawn, uhm we have to go?' I let out a sigh causing Alexa to laugh, 'it is okay, Shawn. I should probably start studying again.' I nodded and got up, I don't wanna go though.
The way we can talk, it's amazing. I don't feel like the famous Shawn Mendes with her, I feel like the normal Shawn Peter Raul Mendes. She also got up and wrapped her arms around me, a large electricity shock moved through my body when she touched me.
'Here is my number,' she whispered in my ear. I gave her a kiss on her cheek. Aaliyah pulled on my arm and dragged me outside. 'And and, do you like her?,' she yelled excitedly whilst jumping up.
'Aaliyah, she is something different, someone who is so amazing,' I blushed while walking further with her. It's weird though, I have never believed in love at first sight but now everything changed
