* Ashlee's POV *
I was at work & August came in the store. He walked to the back & quickly made his way back up front.
Ashlee: Looking for something?
August: Alana here?
Ashlee: She was earlier, but she left about 3 hours ago.
He wiped his face with his hands & stood there.
August: Know when she'll be back?
Ashlee: She usually tells me, but today she didn't. Something wrong?
August: Nah, just looking for her.
He stood there & looked around. I was getting caught up in his appearance. He was fine, but my friend's main squeeze.
Ashlee: When she gets here I can tell her you were looking for her.
August: Nah. I'll just call her later.
Ashlee: Okay, sure?
August: Yeah, thanks.
He walked out the store. I watched him walk past the store windows & into his truck before pulling off into traffic.
* Alana's POV *
I walked away from Janelle & went back over to my store. Ashlee smiled once I came through the door following me into my office.
Ashlee: You're "boo" came by looking for you earlier.
Alana: Really?
Ashlee: Yeah, he seemed concerned or something. Anything going on?
Alana: Not really.
I said with this huge smile across my face.
Ashlee: How come you never talk about him?
Alana: I do, I just believe somethings are left to be personal.
Ashlee: There's not a photo of him in this office.
Alana: Well, that's because I believe self love is the best love.
I replied & looking around at the many photos of me. Ashlee sat down.
Ashlee: How long y'all been together?
Alana: We're not "together". We really don't have a title, he's just my boo. Always been here for me I guess.
Ashlee: Well, do you love him?
Alana: Of course.
Ashlee: What about him that you love so much?
I stared at Ashlee & turned away looking at the files on my desk. I took a deep breath.
Alana: Everything. If there was something I didn't love, I wouldn't even be able to tell you. He's honest, caring, silly, fine, & so much more! He makes my day, always.
Ashlee: Aw, y'all are so cute together.
Alana: Well, thank you. But I need you back up front.
I said chuckling. She stood smiling & walking out the door.
Ashlee: You got it boss.
* August's POV *
In the studio wrapping things up.
Chris: Bruh, I need some to eat! Want some?
August: Nah, I'm straight.
I said pointing over to the alcohol & my blunt on the table & laughing. Chris laughed.
Chris: Aight. I'll be back in a few man.
August: Aight.
Chris walked out the door. I picked up my cup turning it up, only to hear the door slam shut. I turned around & London was standing in front of it.
London: Hi. Hope I didn't interrupt anything.
August: Nah.
I said taking my seat. London walked over placing herself beside me.
London: You look good today.
August: You too London.
London: August, I know this may come off too fast, but I'm actually feeling you.
August: Really?
London: Yes, I feel it whenever you're around. Don't you feel it?
I stared at her in confusion, because we didn't connect like that. It was mostly nightcaps at her place whenever me & Alana were into it. She snapped her fingers.
London: August, don't you?
August: Um...
London: It's okay if you feel like it's coming to quick, but it's true.
August: You see I'm already in a situation.
London: What?
August: I've got somebody, ya know?
London: Really? Why hasn't this somebody come up?
August: It shouldn't be that important to you. I mean I'm just looking for fun & someone that's laid back, not nothing personal.
London: Sounds pretty personal if you ask me. You're staying the nights at my house & I'm cooking for you.
August: I feel bad you took it that way London, but that's not what I intended on doing is making you have feelings for me like that.
London stood up & opened her mouth about to say something, when Alana walked in. I stood up & Alana stared at the both of us.
Alana: Who are you?
She said referring to London.
London: August's friend.
I nodded & walked over next to her.
August: Yup, Alana this is my friend London. London this is my boo, Alana.
London smiled.
London: Nice to meet you.
Alana: Same to you.
London: I've heard so much about you.
She said looking up at me trying to be sarcastic. Alana gave a half smile & stared at London.
Alana: I wish I could the same. So, what are y'all doing up here?
London: I help August with his music.
Alana: Oh really?
London: Yeah, he's a great act.
Alana: Yeah, I know.
I smiled looking down at Alana. London grabbed her things.
London: Well, I guess I better be going. Let y'all have some time to yourselves.
Alana: Don't let me interrupt you helping with his music.
London: I think we've discussed it enough today. It was really nice meeting you Alana.
Alana: Same here.
London walked out the studio room. Alana looked up at me.
Alana: What was all that about?
August: Nothing, she was helping with music.
Alana: It's funny that she quit helping as soon as I walked in.
August: We been in here about 2 hours. Chris, me, & her doing the music thing.
Alana: Speaking of that, where the hell is Chris? Why he wasn't here with y'all?
August: He went to grab him a bite to eat.
Alana: Mhm.
August: He did.
I grabbed her sitting in my lap.
August: I haven't seen you're fine self all day.
I said smiling at her. She crossed her arms & I stared at her. She turned around laughing & gave me a kiss.
Alana: I just know that bitch better be making music & not love with you.
My eyes got wide & I laughed sarcastically.
August: Nah, you know you my girl.
Alana: I know, I know.
