We will start with sixteen people which will go to eight then four then two and the winner will be determined from there. Also a third place battle will take place from the two people who lost to the finalists. And the pairings are right here, we will start in a few minutes!" Midnight said.

I stood on the platform, opposite from Todoroki-Kun. My heart was beating like crazy, and my mind was split into two. I had a very important question swirling inside my head: should I reveal my other quirk? This would be a great time to do so, but how will everyone react? I didn't have much time to think because the whistle went off. For the first minute or so, we just stared at each other, unsure about making the first move.
"Sooooo, we just gonna stand here or..?" I asked casually.
No response.
"Fine then."
I used the tiniest possible bit of One For All and punched the ground, causing Todoroki-Kun to stumble, but he quickly used his ice to stabilize himself.
"Nice move." I commented.
"You're awfully chatty." He said blandly.
"I'm just talking to my friend."
"Okay." He said while pointing a hand at me.
"Ooo, watcha gonna do with that?" I said sarcastically.
"Be patient." He said and used his quirk.
He used his ice and launched it at me, now was I gonna counter with One For All or Dragon Breath (I named my quirk that). In an instant I raised my left hand and flicked, causing me to break a finger. But with that one movement, I was also able to send his ice flying. He did it again and again and I responded the same way. I think he was trying to get me to break all my fingers so he can actually attack, but I ain't gonna take it, I have an ace up my sleeve. He tried the same thing again, but this time I did something a little differently, I inhaled and exhaled, leaving a pool of water around my feet.
I wiped the corners of my mouth "Ow, that burned."
The stadium was dead quiet, I looked around, everyone had their eyes on me and their mouths were hanging. All my classmates, teachers, the audience, except for one person, Ka-Chan. He was slumped in his chair with a smirk on his face. When our eyes met he gave me a thumbs up and mouthed something, I couldn't figure out what it was. I turned my attention back to my opponent, who was also quite surprised.
"What are you gonna do now?" I said confidently.
I lunged at Todoroki-Kun, tacking him onto the ground. "What're you gonna do now? You gonna use both sides?"
I somehow was sitting on top of him, fist raised, pulsing with All For One, ready to make impact. I brought it down and punched him in the face. He groaned, but didn't say or do anything.
"Not gonna fight back? Not gonna use any side?"
"I-I promised myself I wouldn't."
I tilted my head in confusion, "You're not gonna use your quirk?"
"I'm not gonna use the side that I inherited from my dad."
"Why?"
He said nothing.
"Why?" I said a little louder.
Still nothing.
I grabbed the collar of his shirt and shook him "Why?"
"B-because I don't want to be like him."
"Like your Dad?"
"I-if I used both sides I'd be doing what he wants and play right into his hands. I don't want to."
"It's your power isn't it? It's not his."
"But-"
"But nothing! It's not his power, it's yours. Use it, use it to become the best hero, use it to become the hero the world needs, use it to be the hero I want to see. Don't let him control you, it's your life." With that I got off him and backed away into a fighting stance. "Now, come at me with all your power! The power that I know is inside!"
He slowly got to his feet and took a deep breath, his entire right side lit up in flames. I smiled at him and we continued our battle. I knew I stood no chance after he activated both sides, but I'll still gonna give it my all.
I lost anyway. With one final punch, he knocked me unconscious and on my way back to Recovery Girl. But I wasn't sad, I was happy to help Todoroki-Kun embrace himself. I think I helped him and I think he appreciated it.
