request: could you do a headcanon with tom holland of y/n being an aspiring writer and he's her inspiration!
A/N: The irony behind this request is me writing it and Tom being the literal inspiration and I'm living for it
ー alright so you've wanted to be a writer forever
ー but you never really knew what you wanted to write
ー you kind of just dabbled in everything
ー biography, teen fiction, sci-fi, pretty much everything
ー while you had quite a few works finished
ー there were others, bigger ones that had better plots and such
ー but you always seemed to run into writer's block
ー even if you noted out every single chapter and character
ー to say it was infuriating, would be an understatement
ー and you could swear you were never going to make it
ー but then you'd meet tom
ー and bam, creativity fucking flow
ー she's hilarious and charismatic and i mean, look at him
ー but on top of that
ー he's kind and sweet and just amazing
ー but he's got all these weird ass stories from traveling for filming
ー and how he actually got to where he is
ー he didn't just magically get his career overnight
ー it was a long road and he was happy to share
ー and that's what really sparked you
ー he's pretty insistent that you have to be passionate about what you're doing otherwise it doesn't matter
ー so you were able to really pick the genre that spoke to you
ー even though it was harder (mostly because you just wanted it to be perfect and having a set genre meant it was real)and it got so much easier
ー because you always had tom as a reminder to keep going
ー but anyway,
ー you'd have times where you'd still get stuck
ー writer's block is inevitable
ー and when you'd tell tom, he'd offer to read what you have
ー of course you'd be super nervous
ー but let him do it anyway
ー and this boy would HYPE IT UP
ー he'd just gush about how great your writing is
ー literally nothing bad to say
ー just offer where he thought you were going
ー but that's it
ー which actually would help
ー it's always inspiring hearing that someone likes what you're doing
ー but on the chance that didn't work
ー he'd make you laugh
ー or take you out for lunch or dinner or even laser tag
ー something to get your mind away from your work
ー because sometimes taking a break is better than staring at a white computer screen
ー but anyway
ー tom himself would be full of inspiration
ー so much so that you'd actually develop a character based off of him
ー and random shit he does that makes no sense but is comedic gold
ー like
ーhe'd walk around the house one night with toothpaste over a pimple(acne hack btw)
ーand he'd look ridiculous
ーso you'd immediately pull out your notes and type out a basic scenario based off that one thing
ーor when you'd show up and he'd be singing loudly
ーboth earbuds in and not having a clue you were around
ーbut there were also soft nights
ーlike when he'd invite you over and already have your favorite film ready to play
ーwith your favorite food coming out of the oven
ーor when he'd be in an adventurous mood
ーso he'd take you hiking
ーno matter what he'd be up to
ーhe'd manage to spark your creativity and help develop your storyline and characters
ーwhich he of course knew
ーand was very proud of
ーhe's really great inspiration for a lot of things tbh
