You leaned against your older brother Dally while sitting looking out at a lake. You were much younger than him almost four years him being nineteen, even with the large age gap and you being a girl both of you got a long very well. You never really talk to your parents you barley knew them. You were always kinda with your brother since the beginning and he protected you
"I told you it was nice out here"
You said turning to look at Dally and he chuckled
"Yeah I guess but it's not really my thing"
You sat up, not leaning on him anymore and crossed your arms
"What you would rather be surrounded by sluts in some bar?"
You said rasing your eyebrow
"I mean sometimes"
You scoffed
"But usually I would rather be hanging out with the gang which we should be doing now"
You nodded and looked up at the raising sun it was probobly around nine this Sunday morning and all the boys were most likely up including Soda, he was really sweet. You hung around with Pony and Johnny more than anyone else because they were easy to talk to along with your brother but you could have nice conversations with Soda your problem was when he would complement you which he did often. You would blush and feel all warm. There was no denying that you liked Soda I was just you didn't really think anything was gonna happen not because you or Soda but because of your brother.
He would go crazy if Soda dated you, hell if any guy dated you. He said nobody was worthy, it got really annoying. With the amount of times guys had asked you out and been scared off by Dally. You were a quite a pretty girl but had not been asked out since the last fiasco. You were in the middle of walking to the Curtis house when you turned to Dally
"Hey Dally why don't you let guys date me?"
He responded not missing a beat
"They don't deserve You"
"... your terrible, but seriously don't you think you went a little far last time"
"... no"
*Flashback*
You were just walking out of school and walking over to Dallys car when a hand on your shoulder made you turn around, it was a guy in your chem class, his name was Jessie he was nice and always helped you if you were stuck with homework not to mention he was quite attractive
"Oh hey Jessie you need something?"
You said nicely
"Um yeah I was wondering if you maybe wanted to go on a date or um-"
He stopped and looked behind you. You turned to see Dally Staring holes into Jessie
"keep walking kid or you'll regret it
He gulped and walked right past you. You turned to Dally and slapped his chest
"Asshole!"
You said and walked getting into the car angrily slamming the door. The ride home was silent with tense air
*End of Flashback*
Jessie never spoke to you again and barley any guys except the gang anymore. You sighed out forgetting about it and arrived at the Curtis house within the span of a few minutes. Dally opened the door loudly yelling out hey to the gang as you walked in smiling and softly saying hey to Pony and Johnny as they walked over to you. Soda walked out of his room. He had no shirt on a wet hair, he probobly just got out of the shower. You ripped your eyes away from his chest and began talking to Johnny about some school project you two were working on.
"So we could go to my place and see how we could set up and present it?"
You said to Johnny and he nodded
"How does Tuesday sound?"
You knew that nothing was going on a responded quickly with
"Sounds great"
You felt a presence behind you and turned around to see Soda
"Oh hey Soda"
He looked suspiciously for a minute before saying
"Why is he going to your place?"
He seemed slightly angry and you paused confused before a smirk came to your face
"... are you jealous?"
A blush immediately shot on to Sodas face and his eyes widened he stuttered before getting out
"No of course not, I'm not jealous!"
He said a little louder than intended and the whole gang looked over at him making him blush darker and turn around walking back into his room. You felt kinda bad now immediately following behind him into his room. You slowly opened the door to see Soda laying on the bed with his arm over his eyes. You closed the door and placed your hand on Sodas arm as you sat on the bed making him jump. He looked at you before laughing
"You scared me"
You giggled
"Wait me, you mean the girl that you tower over scared you?"
He laughed and so did you for a minute before it went silent.
" Hey sorry for I guess embarrassing you back there"
You said looking down and he sat up from his laying position placing a hand on your shoulder
" Hey it was fine and I kinda lied..."
You looked at him confused
"It did make me jealous"
You blushed and looked down
"Johnny, he's like my best friend I couldn't date him"
You said smiling
"Am I like a best friend?"
Soda asked getting a little closer to you so he was sitting next to you your thighs touching and his hand grazing yours. You looked away your heart rate increasing. You gulped
"... No your diffrent, your more than that"
You said barley over a whisper. He touched his fingers to your chin turning your head to face his and you saw a blush across his cheeks too. Your face was so close to him. You could feel his breath on your lips. Your heart was pounding out of your chest you could almost hear it.
"Soda you better leave for work or you'll be late!"
You heard Darry yell from the other room you and both jumped away from each other both blushing and heavy breathing. He stayed still for a minute.
"You wanna come to my work with me?"
He asked and you responded with
"Yeah yeah sure"
Looking away. He grabbed his dx shirt buttoning it up and grabbing your hand before walking out of his door and not saying a word to anyone as he walked out. Johnny gave you an odd look and your brother who you thought would run after you because you were gonna be alone with Soda for the night, just sat there almost smiling as he saw you getting dragged out the door. You started walking right beside Soda so he wasn't dragging you anymore it was more just him holding your hand which you didn't mind at all.
You soon saw the dx and leaned against a gas stand when you got there. You and Soda were both silent. Too silent. You sighed staying silent before Soda said.
"Can you follow me?"
You looked over and nodded. He walked behind the building you following quickly after him. As soon as you stood in front of him he grabbed your neck with one hand and your waist with the other pulling you into a kiss. You were shocked but kissed back happily. His lips felt perfect against yours. Nobody had ever kissed you like this you didn't know kissing could feel this good. He pushed you against the wall and continued kissing you. You raised your arms running your fingers through his hair. You eventually pulled away a heavy blush covering your face and a look of shock stayed on your face as you looked Soda in the eyes
"... I really fucking like you"
Soda said and you let out a breathless laugh as did he
"I could tell... I really like you too"
He smiled fist bumping you laughed again.
"damn I gotta thank Dally and also tell him he was right"
You looked at him confused, Dally would want to kill him if he knew. Soda saw the confusion covering your face and explained.
"I asked Dally to make sure no other boys ask you out because I liked you but was just nervous to tell you... He was also the one to tell me that you like me too"
You smiled happily at him before laughing out say
"Dally, I told that fucker to not tell anyone"
Both of you laughed
"but he always said he chased away other boys because they were not worthy"
Soda rolled his eyes
"Yeah um that might have been what I said"
Your jaw dropped and you laughed
"I have been asking him what that meant for months and he never told me"
Both you you laughed and smiled at each other
"But truly darling I really do love You"
"I love you Soda"
You said kissing again closing your eyes and feeling warmth fill your body being with the man you love
