"I bet h-she doesn't even know how to write good poetry," Natsuki said, glaring at Yuki. Yuki didn't quite understand what the small girl had against her- she'd never even been mean to her.

"Well, you don't know that," Monika sighed, getting a bit fed up with Natsuki's attitude. "Besides, who are you to judge?"

"Well, I bet my poems are ten times better!"

"Perhaps you should share your poems, so Yuki can get some feedback," Yuri suggested. "I did that, it helped me a lot..."

"Oh, that's a good idea!" Sayori agreed.

"Uh, I did not sign up for this," Natsuki shot back. "...maybe it's Yuri who should share her poems, if she got such a good experience from them."

"Um..." Yuri looked away. It seemed no one wanted to share.

"Alright... Why don't we all share our poems?" Monika suggested. "That way, we can all get feedback!"

"Oh! Good idea, Monika!" Sayori grinned. "Alright, everyone bring a poem for tomorrow!"

Oh great, I'm going to show everyone my terrible writing skills.. Well, I guess being made fun of is worth it if I'm by these girls. Bad karma is really rising on me... Knew I shoulda tried harder.

---

Hmm... Can I wrote a decent poem? Yuki thought miserably. Hypothetically... Yes. Theoretically... No. Ugh, what am I supposed to do?

Yuki let her pen draw across the paper, making long, black, lines. Lines...

I think I know what to write about now.

--

The next day, Yuki walked to the club room with Monika.

"How's your poem, Yuki?" Monika asked.

"It's... Meh," Yuki shrugged. "I did my best."

"Well, that's all that matters!" Monika smiled, her brown hair bouncing over her shoulder. "I can't wait to read your poem."

Yeah, you can see how much it sucks.

"Yeah... Just a warning, it's not that good."

"That's alright. Mine isn't that good, either, but as long as I did my best, I'm glad."

"Well, that's good."

The two entered the classroom. Oddly enough, Sayori wasn't there.

"Uh, how come Sayori isn't here?" Yuki asked, confused. While she hadn't known Sayori for more than a day, she still knew enough that Sayori was the club president- and should probably be there first. At least, that's what Yuki assumed.

"Oh, Sayori's normally late," Monika explained. "Yeah, she's probably getting snacks from the vending machine.."

"Well, if she doesn't come quick, the-" Natsuki seemed to catch herself, looking away. "Never mind."

"Oh, well we can start without Sayori, she'll probably come soon enough," Monika reassured. "Probably."

"Yeah, that sounds like a good idea," Yuri nodded. "Monika.. You're a very suitable Vice President."

"Thank you, I'm just doing my best," Monika laughed assuringly. "But I've still got a lot to learn."

"You definitely do a lot better than Natsuki and I could..." Yuri nodded.

"Are you implying I wouldn't be a good Vice President?" Natsuki huffed.

"N-no," Yuri shook her head. "I-i wasn't saying that... I've just never seen you in charge before."

"Hmmph. Well, as long as that's cleared up."

"Sorry I'm late!" Sayori ran through the door. "I was grabbing-"

"A snack?" Everyone asked simultaneously.

"-my folder that I left in my classroom, sorry," Sayori continued, proving the four wrong. "But I got it, and I'm all set!"

"I've got a special surprise for us, too!" Natsuki grinned triumphantly. "Since yesterday, Sayori ate all the cookies... I made cupcakes today to make up for it!"

Natsuki reached behind her, revealing a tray full of cupcakes designed to look like kittens. Her work was beautifully designed, and Yuki was in awe.

"You made those?" Yuki questioned, totally confused.

"Yeah, but not like it was for you or anything," Natsuki looked away.

Yuki grabbed a cupcake, and she watched from her peripheral's as Natsuki slowly stared at Yuki, and Yuki figured Natsuki was probably just wanting to know what Yuki thought of it.

"Mm, delicious!" Monika exclaimed. "Never disappoints."

"They are really good," Yuri added. "Good job, Natsuki..."

"Mm! I'm glad I ate the cookies yesterday, because Natsuki's cupcakes are the best!" Sayori giggled. "Thanks!"

Natsuki didn't say anything, she just kept watching Yuki to see what her reaction would be. When Yuki finally took a bite, her eyes widened in delight.

"Wow, Natsuki," Yuki complimented. "These are really good."

"Well, it's not like I made them for you or anything," Natsuki turned away.

"But didn't you make these cupcakes for me being the new member..?" Yuki asked, and Natsuki turned red.

"N-no!"

"Alright..." Yuki decided not to push it any further.

"Okay, let's all share our poems now!" Sayori declared.

Yuki looked around. She figured she should thank Natsuki for the cupcakes, so she headed over there.

"Hey, Natsuki," Yuki greeted. "Those cupcakes were really good. Thanks for making them."

"Sure, whatever," Natsuki looked away. "...here's my poem."

Natsuki handed Yuki a notebook, with poem written on it in surprisingly neat handwriting.

"Wow... That's pretty good, Natsuki," Yuki complimented. "It's really blunt... But I like it."

"Hmmph... Good to know someone appreciates the way I write," Natsuki huffed. "Can I read yours now?"

"Sure."

Yuki handed her poem to Natsuki.

"This is what you write?"

"Got a problem with it?" Yuki asked nervously. She knew it wasn't the best, but it was all she could come up with.

"No, it's just not what I expected from you," Natsuki said. "It's still good... Just really blunt."

"But yours is too-"

"But mine is different," Natsuki argued. "Because mine isn't deep. Mine's just short, plain, simple. I don't know... Doesn't really roll off the tongue."

"Well, I'll do my best for next time."

For the next one, Yuri wasn't paired up with anyone. Yuki headed to her quickly.

"Hey, Yuri," Yuki greeted. "Uh... Want to exchange poems?"

"Yeah, that works for me..."

The two switched poems, and Yuki looked to Yuri's poem.

"I really like your poem, Yuri."

"I like yours too, Yuki," Yuri smiled gently. "It's really... Well, I tried to hold off of making mine dark, but I guess you beat me to it..."

"Oh, sorry..." Yuki laughed. "Yeah, didn't really know you were into ghosts..."

"Oh... This poem isn't about ghosts," Yuri corrected.

Shoot, I guess I missed the whole point of her poem then.

"Heheh, sorry..." Yuki shrugged. "I don't normally analyze poems very well."

"Don't worry about it... Yuki, your poem was very interesting, I look forward to more."

---

"Hey, Monika, want to exchange poems?" Yuki asked.

"Yeah, sure! Sounds good."

"Monika... Is something going on?" Yuki asked, confused. "It's really good, but I'm kinda worried for you..."

"Huh? No, I'm fine," Monika shook her head. "It's just a poem. Really!"

"Oh, that's good to hear."

"Anyway.. Here's my writing tip of the day. If you're ever stuck on any writing, just keep writing! You can go back and fix things later, but it's better if you just keep going with the flow."

"I'll be sure to keep that in mind. Thank you, Monika."

"Ahahaha! Yeah, you're welcome!"

--

"Hey, Sayori."

Yuki was a little bit cautious around Sayori, sensing that Sayori wasn't exactly the best president... Yuki liked responsibility.

"Hiya!" Sayori grinned. "Sorry about the cookies yesterday... I got pretty hungry!"

"It's alright."

"I'm glad! Here, wanna read?"

Sayori handed Yuki her poem, which was on a crinkled piece of paper.

Yeah. Really disorganized...

"Is this about the club members?" Yuki asked. It was a cute poem, she guessed.

"Yeah! Everyone here is really awesome. We all are pretty fun, I hope you don't leave. Everyone really enjoys your presence."

"I'm glad.." Yuki looked away. Sayori seemed really sweet, and she felt pretty bad for judging her earlier. "Uh... Do you always keep your uniform unbuttoned?"

"Yeah... It's hot in here," Sayori claimed. "I don't like the stuffiness."

"Well, to each their own."

Everyone here is so nice.

Nothing can go wrong.

Right?
