Chapter 10: The Rager

-

Humanity; such a pesky little thing, that is. It had been said and proved many times that humanity is a vampire's greatest weakness. And without it, as many mistakes as they were known to make in the process, things were just a little bit easier to go by as it would be for anyone.

"Rise and shine." The voice of Damon Salvatore echoed throughout the room as he waved his hands in front of Amalia's face, completing his job as human alarm clock.

As soon as her eyes opened, she let out a groan at not only the fact that she was waking up from a much-needed slumber, but from who was waking her up from it as well, "Ugh. Am I in hell?"

"You know, most women would say they're in heaven after waking up in my bed." Damon scoffed as he walked over to his drawers filled with millions of black t shirts, which seemed to be the only wardrobe her owned. "Get dressed. It's school time, Bambi."

"Eh, I'm not feeling the I'm a badass and I own a leather jacket look today." After taking one look at the plain t shirt he had handed her, she came to the conclusion that she wouldn't be wearing it.

"You don't have a choice." He, once again, ordered her to follow his directions. Which, for a vampire without their humanity, might not have been his smartest move.

Lia smirked as her own way of retaliation popped into her head, enlightening her as she walked over to him and trailed her finger across his chest, "You know, this authority thing that you have going on... it's kind of sexy."

He didn't even budge as he watched her continue on with her actions before pushing her off of him and causing her to land back on his bed, "Shut the hell up and change."

"Gladly." She removed her shirt in front of him, clearly entertained by her own actions as she watched him look her dead in the eye, not bothering to look anywhere else. "What? Cat got your tongue?"

"The next time you want to play a game, make sure you didn't tear it right out of my playbook." Damon rolled his eyes at her, wanting nothing more than to just send her away where she was no longer his problem. "Get dressed and go to school unless you want to end up locked away in a cell during the school day."

✰✰✰

After protesting and being shut down dozens of times, Amalia finally agreed to attend Mystic Falls High School, rather than accepting Damon's threat of locking her away for the greater good of the mortals of Mystic Falls. And well, the second she walked through the door of her history class, her day was made as she noticed Rebekah Mikaelson handing out flyers to her classmates.

"Well, what might this be?" Amalia asked the Original as she picked up a flyer of her own, reading the words that were bolded at the top. "A party. Hm, my favorite."

"Yes, and you're invited." Rebekah told the humanity-less vampire, who seemed quite pleased with the idea of a party.

"I'll be there." She replied before walking further into the classroom and taking a seat right beside Stefan Salvatore, looking over at him with a grin of satisfaction right after, "Morning, sunshine."

Stefan looked over at her, refusing to match her same expression as his usual more broody look took over his face, "Heard the scene you caused in my brother's bedroom this morning."

"Oh, you mean the one where I tried to bang your brother to get him to lay off of me?" Lia found humor in her actions, not even affected by the thought of what Stefan's reaction would be, "Relax, Stef. I'm only having fun."

"Why would you try to seduce Damon? You knew it wouldn't work, so why bother trying?" Stefan asked the girl as he tried to figure out what was behind every last one of her motives.

"Because it's fun. Why do you care?" She replied, asking a question she knew he wouldn't answer, "I don't."

"Because this isn't you." Stefan responded, holding back on the real reason due to the fact that his girlfriend was sitting right beside him, listening to every word that was said between them.

"Oh, but it is." She smiled at him before peering over him and glancing at Elena Gilbert, who seemed to be staring at them, taking notice of the small trace of blood that was smeared on the corner of the doppelgänger's lip, "Hey, Elena. You got a little something right about... there. Wasn't breakfast just to die for this morning?"

Elena's face fell at her friend's words before she briefly glanced around the room to ensure that nobody was listening in on their conversation. Amalia laughed a bit at her reaction, finding entertainment in watching the brunette squirm, "Sore subject?"

✰✰✰

"What do you think you're doing?" Caroline approached Amalia's locker, clearly unhappy with something Amalia had done. Well, more than one thing if we're counting the fact that Amalia had turned off her humanity to begin with as well, "Elena told me what you said. Sorry if I'm having a little trouble piecing together why the hell you would say that?"

"Of course she did. Elena does like to babble, doesn't she?" Amalia closed her locker shut, turning to look at the taller blonde that towered over her, "I was only kidding. Not my fault she doesn't have a sense of humor."

"There's a vampire hunter in the building. What, are you insane?" Caroline scolded her once again, only this time she lowered her voice to keep from eavesdroppers listening in on their conversation.

"Maybe a little." Amalia responded as her eyes tore away from Caroline for only a second, noticing that Elena Gilbert was rushing into the restroom. "Thanks for the chat. Talk later, yeah?"

"Where are you going?" Caroline yelled after Amalia, expecting the brunette to turn around, but she just kept on walking.

"Lindsay, hey. I haven't seen you in, like, forever. How are you?" Amalia walked up to a girl she had probably talked to about twice in her life, putting on the biggest facade she had in a long time, "How's Brad? You two are still together, right?"

"Hey, Lia." Lindsay looked over at her, confusion all over her face at the fact that Amalia was speaking to her, which was more than out of the ordinary, "Uh, yeah. We're good. What's up?"

"Oh, nothing much. The ushe." Amalia answered her question before looking directly into her eyes, being sure not to miss a beat, "Come with me. Don't ask questions, don't scream. And don't be scared, of course."

"Okay." Lindsay quietly nodded in agreement before following Amalia into the restroom, allowing Amalia to lock it from behind them.

"Elena, hi. I couldn't help but notice you run in here? Everything okay?" Amalia asked her friend as if she genuinely cared about how her friend was doing as she washed the blood off of her clothes.

"I'm fine, Lia." Elena answered, placing the paper towels she had used into the trashcan.

"Is there anything I can do for you? Need a shoulder to cry on? Advice? A bite... maybe?" Amalia asked before gently throwing her fangs into Lindsay's neck, allowing blood to poor out from the wound as soon as she pulled away, "What's wrong, Elena? Getting hungry?"

Elena began to panic even more as she watched Lindsay remove her hand from her open wound, showcasing every ounce of blood for the newbie-vamp, "No. G-get away from me."

"Oh, but she's so divine." Amalia quickly dipped her finger into the pool of blood that was forming on Lindsay's shoulder, bringing the same finger into her mouth afterward, "Want a taste?"

Amalia then repeated her actions except this time, instead of having a taste for herself, she placed her finger that was covered in blood on Elena's mouth, "What are you doing, Amalia? You can't do this. This isn't--"

"Oh, but I can. And last I checked, I am." Amalia replied without a care in the world for how it was affecting the vampire in front of her. She then wiped her hand full of blood and smeared it across Elena's face, finding pleasure in her reaction, "Oh, and I couldn't help but hear that there's a vampire hunter roaming the halls. You really should be more careful."

✰✰✰

"I just want to take a stake and shove it right through her non-existent heart. Honestly, that's how mad I am. She made me murderous." Elena ranted to Stefan and Caroline, pacing in front of their steady bodies as she told them all about her encounter with Amalia.

"Talking about me?" Amalia appeared out of quite literally nowhere, taking all of them by surprise, "All good things, I hope."

"What are you doing here?" Elena crossed her arms over her chest, trying to prove to Amalia just how unhappy with her she was.

Amalia couldn't help but choke out a laugh as she wasn't able to hold it in, finding too much humor in how cold Elena was toward her, "Oh, I'm off to Rebekah's party and I couldn't help but overhear your struggle. My apologies for earlier. I was... bored, really."

Elena's anger only rose from her words and for a split second she looked as if she was about to murder Amalia right then and there. But thankfully, Stefan Salvatore popped in and saved the day. Or really, just saved Amalia, "Elena, don't. She isn't worth it."

"Okay, well, I'm off. Wanna hitch a ride?" Amalia looked at all of them, wondering if they would do her the pleasure of keeping her in their company as they all went to Rebekah's party.

✰✰✰

"This is mine now." Stefan compelled an innocent boy who had just walked down the stairs as he enjoyed the party with his friends, removing the cup from his hands and taking it for himself, "Thank you."

"Hm. He parties." Amalia walked up to the Salvatore, watching as his entire body tensed up from the sound of her voice, "Come on, Stef. It's a party. Relax, have a little fun... maybe even drink a little."

"I am." He held up the cup for her to see, but all she did was chuckle at his actions.

"Surely you know what I meant. After all, you are the big, bad, ripper of Monterrey." She smirked at him as she enjoyed the sight of him squirming at her words, "May as well live up to the name, right?"

"When are you gonna stop this?" He asked her, desperate for her to return to the girl he knew... the girl he cared deeply for.

"What ever do you mean?" She asked him as she took the cup from his hands, throwing her head back and chugging the rest of it, "Oh, I needed that."

"This isn't you." He repeated the sentence he had said to her at the beginning of their school day, "And I miss you."

"Oh, I'm sure you do." She smiled at him before looking past his shoulder to see Elena standing there, watching them intently. Amalia leaned into him, bringing her mouth to his ear, "Careful, Stefan. Your girlfriend's listening."

✰✰✰

Amalia walked up to Stefan and Elena, who seemed to be already on their way out of the party. However, just by the sole sight of her, Stefan stopped in his tracks, causing his girlfriend to do the same.

"Leaving so soon?" Amalia pouted for a second before a grin appeared on her face once again as soon as she saw the hatred across Elena's face once again, "That's a shame. Here I thought we were having fun."

"No. Not just yet." Elena handed Stefan her purse, but her eyes never left Amalia, "I never got a drink."

Elena walked over to the keg and placed her hands on top of it, raising her body up into a beyond perfect handstand as one of their fellow classmates held it up to her mouth so she would be able to intake at least some alcohol.

As soon as she got down from the ground, she looked thrilled with herself, but it was short-lived, seeing as Amalia hadn't let go of commentary just yet, "Wow. You showed me."

✰✰✰

A pair of headlights shined over the stranded road, landing right on Amalia, who was standing in the dead middle of the street as she waited for her next snack to come to her. At the sight of Amalia standing there, the car slammed on their breaks to keep from hitting her.

The man that was formerly behind the wheel opened his car door, getting outside of the vehicle so he could walk to up to her, "Ma'am? Are you okay?"

"Oh, yeah. I'm fine." She nodded her head, assuring him that there wasn't a problem in sight, "Other than the fact that my father died. It's only been a week, you know. Hm. That's weird. It feels like it's been much longer than that."

"I'm so sorry." The man apologized, unsure of what she was doing standing there. And more importantly, why she didn't seem affected by anything she had just told him.

"Oh, no. It's okay. I really couldn't care less. Yet again, I really couldn't care about anything, for that matter." She shrugged her shoulders as if it meant nothing to her. Which, nowadays, it didn't.

"Hold on, let me get my phone. I can call you a taxi." He offered, but the second he turned around to go back to his car, she landed right in front of him, "H-how did you? Y-your eyes."

"Yeah, that won't be necessary." She then looked right into his eyes, stabling his body with her hands on his shoulders, "Don't move, don't scream."

She then tore her fangs into the man's neck, ripping them through his carotid artery on her first try. The taste of his blood was absolutely euphoric to her. It was almost as if with more taste of his blood, she would never have to deal with hunger again. And she kept doing so, until she had drained him of blood entirely, causing him to fall to the ground, dead as a door.

"That's more like it."

So, this is what Amalia with no-humanity looks like. Hm. I actually thoroughly enjoyed writing this chapter because I LOVE her with no humanity. Anyway, updates aren't going to be as frequent most likely after tomorrow, but we'll see. I'm quite literally addicted to writing, so I'm not sure if I'll be able to follow through with that. I hope you guys enjoyed this chapter and let me know what you think of her without her humanity!
