May 22th, Everfree Forest, Castle of the Two Royal Sisters
The guy woke up in a strange place. It appeared to be some half restored ruins.
"Hello?" He called out. "Is someone there?"
No answer.
He walked around for a bit and noticed the moonlight reflect on a tree.
It wasn't just any ordinary tree.
There where symbols in -or on- it.
Some of the symbols he couldn't place, others he recognized on instant.
A small chest stood in front of it.
He took a moment to take it all in.
A yelp came from behind him.
A big lion-like creature came towards him.
"Hello there, buddy." He said, a bit frightened. "My name is Deyan, who are you?"
The creature laid down, as if it was a dog.
Deyan started to scratch its mane. Manticore. He realized. The creature was a manticore.
The manticore licked the side of Deyans face.
"That's pretty gross." He looked at the manticore. "Do you think you can help me find the others?" There wasn't a doubt his friends would be here too.
