everyone knows that facing your fears will help you get over them
that being strong in the midst of weakness will always carry you on
therefore i kept myself standing, a shield in my hand, blocking the hate they threw,
hoping that my fears and weakness would soon be past foregone.
but soon my shield, dented and bruised, could not withstand much longer,
the sticks and stones begun to destroy all of my strength and will.
and within the hour, i fell to pieces upon the ground.
now i know that facing my fears will eventually get me killed.
