It was after 6 p.m and I was in my college dorm room jamming to some JB.
Don't get me wrong I'm not a huge fan of him,but that nigga then upgraded.He grown up. I was 16 when I discovered about him and now 19 going on 20 in a few months.
Any who my name is Averi pickett.Im bright skin,and have long black thick curly hair.Im about 5'5,dark brown eyes female,wear huge glasses, and have braces
Yeah I'm a geek, but that's ok cause it's not like I'm here to impress somebody ?
I go to Beverly Hills college for psychology
I also have a part-time job at a sneaker store down the street from my college
My whole entire life I've been the goody two shoe girl.I never got in a fight.Never failed,im a straight A student,always obey'd the rules ,that type of stuff
I'm quiet as people would say.I don't like violence,and I'm just not into socializing.
Not because I'm scared to speak but because I know that I'm not good enough.The boys and girls that live on this college campus are completely big and cute.I never had any type if friendship what's so ever because I would always get teased on how I look and what I wear.
Example: most girls where skinny jeans,leggings,skirts, or tights.
I wear baggy jeans, tored up shoes, and faded our hoodies
My t-shirts are mininum.
My job only pays me 5$ an hour and the stores around here are very expensive.Plus I have to purchase books and pay for my food.
I'm not poor because I actually got asked into this college.
But the people here don't care about that.All they care about is how big is your ass? or how much money you hold in your pocket
I still get bullied though it hasn't changed.
When i was younger my mom was very poor.she could barley have enough money to feed me and my brother.my brother didn't like the fact that we was living that way so he started selling drugs.He ended up getting caught and got sentenced to jail for 5 years.
He on his 3rd year and he doing good,ive been writting him and he had been writting back.
He says when he comes back he gon try to finish off his school,get his diploma and go to college.
He says that the street life ain't down for him.
But I can only pray for the best out of him
My father was shot 9 times trying to run the streets and sell drugs.Im glad the same thing didn't happen to my brother.My mom right now is currently living in a 1 bed room apartment and is living in the hood.she dosent have enough money to move so it's really hard on her.
I was actually at one point of time thinking about joining my brother on the streets but then when I saw how much intelligence I pursue I realized I can do better then him and make a better example for mama.Plus I didn't wanna go to jail like him
I rolled off my bunk bed and looked outside to where I seen a group of people heading to a building where large music was playing
College parties, they have so many over here
Parties aren't my thing.Call me lame but I just don't do parties,i feel like a bad person when I'm attending one.especially one with alcohol,sex,drugs,and unsupervised vision.The last time I been to a party like that was when I had to go pick up my brother because he was too drunk to drive home.That was before he went to jail.
The door busted open and my roommate "Hailey" came in with a couple of her whore friends that obviously don't know what "clothes" mean cause they barley wear it.
These girls strut around in short ass mini skirts that show there ass cheeks,and half cut shirts showing off there stomach.Then they wear 12 pounds of makeup. they will wear make-up if they gotta go piss
Ther nothing but stuck up,snootie,bougie girls who can use 100$ bills to wipe there butts and not give a damn
"Awww look at the little rodent all by herself" raven says as she looked at me
I rolled my eyes and walked back over to my bed and sat down, blasting my music louder.
"Hey Averi you wanna come with us to a party-oops I forgot your not publicity material" another girl says.
I didn't exactly here her cause my music was loud but I read her lips
Hailey said something, and they all started laughing.
A few moments later they left and once again I was alone.
My roommate hailey absolutely dislikes me and I dislike her.
Were two diffrent people.
She prefers to watch "Talk show tv shows" but I prefer to watch syfy and cartoons.she likes twerk and sexual music and I like pop,rock,and country such as Pink,maroon 5, green day,nickleback,taylor swift,justin beiber.
We don't get along at all
My stomach was grumbling and I needed to eat something .
I grabbed my all black hoodie,and put on my all black boots.I then put my curly hair in a messy pony tail,grabbed my books cause I plan on going to the library afterwards, grabbed my room key and left
This was a huge college campus, it's like a big ass mall with a million stores
I headed down to the cafe,grabbed some subway and headed to the library
We can eat up in there we just can't make no mess.
I was studying some geometry cause next week we have a huge test
My mind was completely focused on geometry.
After 2 hours of studying I figured I might as well get back in my dorm room before any crazy thing happens because they do like to mug you after late hours
I was passing by the gym when I heard a loud scream for help.
My mind kept telling me to continue to my dorm room but then my feet had other plans
I quickly ran over to where I was hearing the noise.
"Somebody comming let's go!" I heard a guy say.
I heard feet moving and I quickly hid in a bush
I waited till they passed and I noticed it was the football players and there also known as the cobras
The cobras was a dangerous violent gang.They play a big role in our city. I try my hardest not to get into it with one of them or even interact with one of them
I could still hear somebody groaning
I slowly walked down the alley as I seen a body on the ground
My eyes widen at who I saw.....
It was Major remerez.Major was this cute sexy,tatted up young thug that had all the girls going bananas over him. If he pulls up his shirt your whole body will melt. he had the most banging body a girl could ever see.
He is apart of the gang but his gang members jumped him
I would do anything to get him to talk to me.
I turned around and looked back to see if anybody was watching
I got only knees to make sure he was still alive.he had a pulse but he was just unconchensed
I helped him up, I cannot believe I'm actually touching Major remerez. Even when he knocked out cold he still sexy. I his hand around my shoulder and helped him get to the nurse office.
When we got there he was still out cold
"Now tell me what you saw ms.averi?" the nurse asked as she checked him out
"I just heard a scream and ran over to where it was comming from.thats when I saw him laying on the ground" I half way lied
"Did you see anybody else running from that area?" she asked
"no" I lied completely
I know who jumped him but I'm not a snitch, and I would never snitch on the cobras, I ain't that damn crazy
She patched up his wounds and put Ice on his head
"He should wake up any moment" she said
I looked at him as he was laying on the table out cold
How can something so sexy get hurt! I mean I know guys wanna be him but the crazy thing is, it was his own gang.Talk about fake
His hand started twitching my eyes popped up
"Nurse" I called
She turned around and moved over to him
"Mr.remerez can you hear me?" She asked
"Where the fuck am i?" he asked
"Your in the nurse office, this young lady here saved your life"she backed up and pointed to me as he got up
He made an ugly face.
My heart sank with insecure.
"Who the hell are you?" His flashy grillz showed
"Uhh...im averi.... I saw you out cold and brought you here....i didn't see anything else though....ummm I should go" I quickly got up
"No stay" the nurse stopped me
"You owe mrs.averi a thank you major,if it wasn't for her you probably woulda went in a coma" she handed him and Ice pack cause his cheek was swollen
"Thanks" he rolled his eyes
I nodded and tried to walk out
"Wait where is my wallet?" he asked as he searched his pocket.
I shrugged
"Fuck!" he pushed me out the way and flew out of the nurse office.
"is he ok?" I turned and asked the nurse
"Obviously he need to stop hanging around on that gang, ever since the dean;which was his uncle ,left he been doing nothing but trouble" the nurse says
I shook my head and walked off
"Bye nurse be careful" I waved and walked out
It's crazy how I was only in hosed for 2 minutes....
I just can't get over him even though I know he will never date a girl like me,i still thank god for giving me those 20 minutes with him.

So how do y'all like this one so far? I do. this is a thug romance book so if this ain't what you looking for, then you might as well [x] out.
The first couple of chapters gon be kinda slow and boring but I promise it's gon get good!
