"Kiah what you.... mannnn put on some clothes" I sighed and opened my eyes turning to look at Karter. "Nigga first off don't just be walking in my shit secondly if you see my room door closed knock thirdly this my house I don't have to put on shit now what do you want you seen me trying to meditate before work" he waved me off sitting on my bed as I got up to pull on some shorts since all I had on was a t-shirt and panties.
He followed me into the kitchen "I need a favor" I grabbed my box of cereal and a bowl "What you want" he smiled "I need you to talk mommy into letting me get my own place". My balled up "Why won't you just ask Karter it's not like you a bad kid or anything I'm sure her dad would want you out on your own" he sighed "Cause if I ask she might think I only want it to fuck bitches" I laughed is that why you want it" he smiled "Partially but I mainly want it because I'm 18 and I wanna know what's it's like to live on my own before I leave for college and I think a year would be a good start". I nodded "Ok I'll see" I put my empty bowl in the sink as he kissed my cheek "That's why you my bestfriend" I laughed "Whatever lock my door on your way out".
Going into my closet I looked through my clothes before pulling out my grey wrap around dress and my white ankle strap manolo blahnik sandal. Going in my drawer I pulled out a black panty and bra set going into my attached bathroom I turned on the water I stripped as I waited for it to warm up. For those that don't know my name is JaKiah Everson my father is JaKari and my mother is Maxine I'm 25 years old I stand at 5'6 and I'm thicker than day old grits. I got two siblings Karter my lil brother whose 18 and JaKirah whose 15 I own my own plus size boutique called EverCouture inside the mall and besides my 5 yr old Kairi that store was my baby. Getting in the shower I washed off with my 1000 kisses staying in the shower for 30 minutes I made sure I cleaned everything I got out wrapping my towel around my body I went back into my room to get myself together.
Walking inside the store I spoke to the two young ladies I hired "Hey ladies how's it going" they both smiled "It's going good we been busy almost all morning it actually just now slowed down" I nodded "Have y'all been to lunch" they both shook their head no "Ok we'll go ahead take a hour I got it from hear thank you" they both smiled said thank you and took off. Walking through out the store I began to straighten racks and tables I heard the music go off meaning someone came in "Give me one minute I'll be right with you" "Take your time we just looking" the sound of this mans voice was music to my ears and sent vibrations through my body before looking up I composed my self standing up straight I turned to look at him.
Good God I mumbled before putting on a smile and making my way over. "Hello welcome to EverCouture what can I help you with" I focused my attention on both him and the girl with him she smiled "Uhh yea I need a couple of cute outfits" "Nah she need a new wardrobe". I laughed "Ok well have a look around the dressing rooms are in the back and if you need help I'm Kiah and I'll be up front" she nodded and they walked off. I couldn't help but watch him as they walked around and I guess he felt me cause he looked up and locked eyes with me before smirking and looking away after that I shook my head and prayed to God this day would go by fast.
Karter....
"Haha" I stuck my tongue out my niece laughed we were currently playing on the couch and she kept trying to beat me up and I teased her every time she missed. "I bet I can beat you in the game" she challenged I cocked my eyebrow "Is that right" she nodded proudly "Umhm" I made a face like aight "Lets see then" soon as I got up to go get the game ready my phone went off. Looking down at the notifications I clicked on it and instantly smiled seeing my bestfriend respond to my instagram post.
I shot her a quick text letting her know I would be there shortly. "Hey midget wanna go out to eat Skylar coming" she got excited "Oooo yea I miss Sky" I chuckled and carried her up stairs to get her ready. "Mama me and the midget bout to go out to eat with Sky we'll be back soon" she looked up from her book and nodded "Ok and tell Sky I said hi" I smiled saying ok and walking out with Kairi right on my heels after getting her booster situated in my car I put her in strapping her up and getting in for myself putting on my seat belt and pulling off.
Let me not be rude the names Karter Terrell Everson I'm 18 and six feet even I'm kind of in a relationship at the moment meaning a mess around with one girl specifically but we just ain't made it official but we act like we together you know how that shit go. I'm a senior at Houston High Highschool along with my sister JaKirah and my bestfriend Skylar. I still stay with my parents but I'm trying to convince my mother and father to let me get my own lil apartment at least for my birthday. Pulling up to Skylar house I shot her a text letting her know I was outside and wasn't about to unstrap the midget just so I could come to the door.
"Uh scuse me who you think you cute for" Sky laughed "The word is excuse me and I'm cute for myself thank you just drive ugly" she turned to look at Kairi and smiled "Hey baby" Kairi waved "Where you been at Sky I missed you" Sky laughed "I been at home but I'll come around more" Kairi nodded and Sky turned back around. "What yo big head butt been up to all day" she mushed my head and I popped her thigh "Nothing blacky just chopped it up with sis today about talking to moms about my place and chilled with the midget" "Heyy" I laughed at Kairi reaction after I called her a midget "What about yo black ass what you been doing" I maneuvered through traffic taking glances at her. "Boy bye you love my black butt tho and I ain't been doing nothing for real" I nodded the car was quiet until she spoke up "Where you taking us" I shrugged " I was just thinking we would just got to fridays or something you know".
Getting out of my car I went and got Kairi out and she went straight to Skylar grabbing her hand I shook my head as we walked inside the Friday's. "Table for three" I spoke to the hostess she smiled and grabbed two adult menus and one kids "Would you like a booster seat" I nodded "Yea please" she nodded "Follow me". We followed her to a small booth she put the booster seat on the inside next to where I would be sitting "Ok you can all have a seat someone will be with you shortly" I said thank you and she walked off.
"You still messing with that Lawrence chick" I chuckled at Sky's pettiness.
"Yes I'm still messing with Lauren why" she shrugged "Just wanted to know".
I looked at her out the side of my eye not saying nothing "So you know school start next month are we going to get more clothes".
"Nigga I'm not bout to always match you I swear these dudes be thinking I'm yo girl" I laughed "That's good then that let's me know I ain't got to break a nigga face over my bestfriend".
She shook her head "Makes no sense wait til I get a boyfriend" I cut her off "Shit ain't go happen" she laughed knowing I was right her having a nigga never changed shit between us and half the time they walked away because they felt we had something going on no matter how much she said we didn't they wasn't going for it I told her if they couldn't handle her having a male bestfriend something was wrong and they were insecure. I didn't care what any broad said right after my moms and my sisters it was Sky and that wasn't changing I told her she was going to be my best woman when I got married and it was funny cause her response was that's fine I look good in a suit.
"I'll FaceTime you later ugly" I smiled "Alright blacky bye" she mushed me before hugging me "Love you" I smiled biting my bottom lip "I love you too" she kissed Kairi cheek and turned to get out.
Once she made it in the house I pulled off making my way home.
Later That Night....

"Bitch that man was fucking deliciously chocolate"
Justice laughed "So why didn't you talk to him" I looked at her and rolled my eyes "Cause he was with somebody" she gave me a knowing look "Whattt there's no crime in looking".
"Yea ok now what if she would have said something" I looked at her "And her ass would've got popped" she shook her head "Crazy ass where my niece" I pointed "Back there sleep Karter dropped her off when I came in from work" she nodded Justice was my bestfriend hell she was more than that she was my sister I met her when I was 7 we were in the same class and when I noticed to kids picking on her just because she vitiligo I put an end to that shit and became her friend we had been rocking strong ever since then. I bet all them nay sayers and haters were looking stupid now why because my friend was a muthafuckin model in magazines on runways and sometimes on tv and couldn't nobody tell her shit.
"You staying the night love" I asked she nodded getting up "You know it".
She walked to the room and I cleaned up the small mess we made. I was glad I owned my own store aide I chose to go in if I wanted to and tomorrow I wanted to spend time with my baby have a lil ladies day it had been a minute since we had one. My ringing phone brung me out my thoughts I looked to see Karter calling.
"Yes Karter" I answered putting it on speaker.
"Me and Kirah at the door open up" I sighed "Don't you got a key" he laughed "Man you cussed me out this morning so I left it" shaking my head I walked to my door and opened it hanging up.
"Why are y'all here" Kiah looked over at Karter who only made a face and I laughed "Mommy and daddy fucking ain't they".
Karter shuttered at the thought "Man yes and all you can heard is the bed so we staying the night here" I nodded "Alright go head" before I knew it they both took off to my room and I sighed it was nights like this that I was thankful for having a California king. Every time they stayed we all slept in my bed even thought I had an extra room besides Kairi's but tonight Justice was in that room so I guess it really don't matter. After cutting off all my lights and checking my locks I made my way to my room sliding into the bed Kirah immediately rolled into me and I shook my head shit made no sense cutting off my light I sighed before closing my eyes and rolling over.
