The laughter from the other room was horrifying. Dan had ben left to cry on the floor in the corner, and he was. He'd been cut to pieces and completely broken, all by the cruel men his mother had sold him to less than a month ago. His teddy sat in the other corner, staring sadly forwards. He thought of the few friends he had in his old school. Would he see them again? Even if he did, they'd never understand what had happened to him. He knew it was wrong. "It's all my fault" he whispered to himself, hugging his knees to his chest. "I won't ever have friends again"
