"why do you care anyway? nobody cares," my voice cracked.
he scrunched up closer to me, my eyes were still locked up, looking at the starry night sky.
"there's no reason, maddy. i care for you."
i heaved a sigh.
for a moment all we could hear was the silent night - the wind and the few cars passing by.
i looked back at him, glazed eyes, tears forming at the corners of my eyes. they were like waves trying to push through a dam.
he put an arm around me, i didn't complain. my fingers grasped the back of his shirt, my face shoved against his hard chest. my arm hooked over his shoulder, reaching around his neck.
i pulled away. "i'm sorry i-i don'tㅡ"
"shh," he murmured, hugging me again. nodding, i binked back the tears and fears, trying to control my anxiety.
i can feel my body started to shake, my breathing sped up, my heart pace raced. i cried on his shoulder, silent tears soaking through his plain white t-shirt.
"maddy, hey- hey! madison, look at me," taehyung murmured, letting go of me. "what's wrong? you can talk to me."
i didn't protest. "let's play your game."
so i told him everything.
